NUX with booster and tweak on mastering, it's achievable to replicate the real expensive thing.

Ain't nothin' like the real thing baby......The Recto sounded so good. Helix Rack was close but had that digital sizzle ma nizzle. The Nux, well what can I say. Thanks Silas. Great Chugs and Pinches.

Good comparison. Helix closest to the dual rectifier. At times hard to tell the difference, however once you listen in to how the trialing notes sound on the helix you can tell it is more digitalised.
Apart from using a different IR on the NUX MG30 I bet if you scoop some of the mud out with an EQ the result will end up closer. But I guess the point of using a cheaper system is just to Rock out and enjoy it and to make your own patches that suit your needs. Cheers.
Agreed! I believe nowadays the search for similar amp tones is subjective. One can choose to replicate their guitar heroes tones OR one can choose to create his personal tone identity. At the end of the day, it's about rocking out whatever rig you have and having fun along the way! Nice comparison here! Cheers!
This comparison is not totally fair. Mostly because the NUX MG 30 Dual Rectifier has different sounds depending on the Impulse Response you pick. The MG30 has 4×12 Vintage 30 IR as well G75 and many others which has a different tone each

All three are very good. Your audience is not going to know the difference and most guitarists couldnt unless played side by side. Whichever you use you´ll be fine apart from maybe a slipped disc if you go with the Amp. I would prefer one of these reviews done blind. Price and nostalgia always seem to affect peoples ears more than the sound.

Helix vs nux - ofc Helix sounds better but i didnt expect nux will be so close for this price. Its very good sound on nux 😮

The helix has to much bass, but that could be adjusted easily, the Nux sounds amazing for the price. It doesn't sound the best of all 3, but the price!
I have the NUX MG 30 and love it. Specially since those differences can be tweaked when recording

@@chriswalton3383 I haven't run the MG 40 through an amp yet. I've used it as an interface directly to the computer for recording purposes. When I run it through an amp it will be a tube amp since I don't have a solid state amp
@@jonathanmolina3529 I was curious because I have a Boss katana MK2 50 and wanted to know how it sounded through a solid state amp. Most if not all pedals sound completely different through a solid state amp compared to a tube amp. Thanks.
@@chriswalton3383 I'm sure it sounds great. Mostly because it has all the tweak gadgets in the system. It has like 5 different EQ. It has different Impulse Responses besides the amp sims and all the other effects. Overall, it's a well rounded pedal
it is a very simple test to determine the difference. maybe we really notice it already being in a band with all the instruments in real time and if re all different genres and maybe we could determine an already "REAL" test

I can't believe that you weren't able to tweak the NUX mg-30 to sound closer to the Dual Rec or the Helix!
Important point: Helix is not $1,500; you can buy the software for just $399! Or even cheaper at only $99 if you or a friend have any other Helix product, or even the HX Stomp!

These boxes have so many knobs, you can set each of them to sound close to each other or completely different, even within the same simulated amp.

I own the NUX MG30 and couldn't be more happy to have it. The Helix was the closest one to the real amp, I feel the NUX has to much low mids but can be tweaked easily with EQ.
for a in the mix sound, the nux is best actually, and what its intended for, sounds the same , just like its mic`d diffrent, but basic the same tone, to my ears

I don’t think so to get the closer I could put an eq after the amp but by itself the nux emulation is pretty far for the real deal
