      If the ball is on the backhand, I use pronation for the penetration, I add Topspin to keep the ball hooked down in the court so it don't sail out and I also add Slice Spin to keep the drive staying low down in the court. So I use Flat with Topspin mixed with Slice.. I do not always just use only topspin to drive the ball with. So I use a combination of two spins instead of using just one spin.. In all my years of playing matches with people I found driving the ball with just brushing it would sometimes drop the ball weak and short in the court if you don't always get good penetration and cause sitter balls, so I switched to driving the ball instead using pronation with the racquet's edge.
      If the ball is on the forehand, side then I usually use the reverse forehand to get more net clearance especially if the ball is difficult to reach and is low down in the court and you have to dig the ball out of the ground. Or I use the forehand slice drive. I could use the normal flat forehand, but the risk of dumping in down into the net or slamming it long out of the court and not getting enough tight spin on it or enough
      net clerance is a bit higher..
      Trey has a big flat serve with a little bit of slice on it. Looking at the little curl in the finish on his serve his racquet finishes really low down by his feet but has a little bit of a curl with the racquet in it. But if he curled his finish a little more with the racquet in the finish he may be able to swing the ball alot more on his serve turn it into a big flat slider serve.
      Serve looks decent with the pace. It is penetrating through the court more.

    Hi Trey, enjoy the channel. One tip I've got for you is to target the backhand more, a lot more, when you go against players with one-handed backhands. I'm talking 3/4 serves and 4/5 groundstrokes to that side until they prove it can hold up. A high, heavy forehand into that corner will do wonders for you. It's not glamorous and will be kind of boring, but it will get you wins.
    I'm a 4.5 and like just about everyone else in your comments, I'm jealous of your serve.

    Comment on the lower UTR for Graham. See that sometimes with good players who also nice guys, which Graham seems like. Those players don't like to dominate other players, so somewhere mentally you can see them let players back in matches. It's not the only cause, but something I noticed in myself and started seeing it in other players. Just an observation, right or wrong.

    • @justchimaera9915
      @justchimaera9915 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't think it's inaccurate, to be honest. His backhand is problematic, timing and spacing aren't good enough for that complex-motion one hander. And his forehand, while big, sprays a lot. Mid-6 UTR is about right. But he's got the raw stuff to get significantly higher.

      @@justchimaera9915 I tried going back through the video to see the backhand you were talking about and it took a while because he runs around it so much. lol He literally stands on the ad side every point to protect it. Easily exploited by a player his level or better. Hopefully he's working on it while in college.

    don't feel bad Trey, he's been playing a lot longer. one thing that stands out with experienced players is they can handle receiving a greater variety of shot, and some generating a greater variety of shot too. Graham is one of those guys who can make you feel awkward in rallies. i'd say he'd make you feel awkward everywhere but your game ideally takes the racquet out of the opponents hands and doesnt give them a chance (the big serve and forehand). if you were more of a grinder it would be more of a blood bath, so thankfully your style of play helps avoid this.
    Notice how he will slice your serve back and you have to deal with underspin, then the next shot he might hit heaps of topspin. perfect example at 14.48 where you were surprised by how much topspin he's put on the ball. a good tell for that is he used a lasso forehand, these forehands will always have more topspin. usually a bit less penetration too so if they're short you can attack on the rise - unless they're also hit on the rise.

    ‘That’s an older racket right?’ ‘Ya, it’s the 2023 model, very old in tennis terms’ 😂😂😂. Just unreal how the tennis industry has driven players to mental breakdowns if they don’t have the latest ‘months’ racket. The racket and string manufacturers have destroyed what was once a magical game. Best to you with your rackets. Remember in two months another 200 rackets are coming out. The tennis world is ‘one flew over the cocos nest’. It’s the equipment that has ruined real tennis.

      lol yeah I'm pretty new to tennis and it blows my mind how much people care about that stuff. I came from baseball whereas long as the bat feels good, who cares about the latest model. My team and most other teams we'd play in college used 3+ year old models of bats. Even 5+ years old. As long as you have fresh strings and the racket feels good, I don't get why tf the model matters lol
