For those of you waiting for the book video, its coming. I just need to adjust some things not to have potential TOS/Copyright problems and then do a re-render. Sorry for the delay!

I wish ESO made the alliance leaders more controversial, like Ulfric and Tiber Septim. Ayrenn, Emeric, and Jorunn are too honorable, brave, and selfless to be interesting. This is a departure from the grey morality and competing narratives of earlier games.

Yeah agreed, it was maybe done so that people would want to join each alliance mostly equally

      I have to disagree.
He's more of wasted potential and actually embodies better traits that are more likable. I mean, for real his charisma and honor was genuinely so good that he actually made the Pact work.
Seriously. If that doesn't scream out potential and intrigue then you've got quite the demand of immediate political discourse. So, basically you just prefer drama I guess is a way to put it.
Which can be a nice story but you can't expect every individual to be two-faced or have some kind of hidden agenda. There are rare cases like Jorunn who frankly aren't used to their full potential and as a result comments like your own tend to pop up.
It's not the character that is bland, it's the lack of development of a character here honestly.
Also... Ulfric is actually very boring in terms of characters. Veteran soldier who basically is bullied and used by higher political powers. What a shocker. Ooooo so interesting. 😐
I'm a Stormcloak lover, yes. Ulfric has charisma. But not depth.
Jorunn has charisma, but isn't even fucking given a chance given how massive the rest of the cast is. Wasted potential.
I hope you understand that I wasn't trying to come across as attacking you or your comment. If you felt that way, it wasn't my intention at all. I was just trying to talk more about a different perspective you might not see at the time.

Elder scrolls online is one the best online RPG's I've ever played. It had the best quests and stories and characters also soundtracks.

Imagine you're a ghost of one of the guys who was such an asshole that your actions lead directly into people who have centuries of trying to kill, maim, and enslave one another at every chance put all that aside to team up because eradicating you held more emotional weight. You're the guy the Argonians went "no, you're worse than the slavers" to and the Nords went "I prefer elves, actually" to and Dunmer went "I would rather be friends with my farm tools and blood thirsty invaders" to. Imagine having to sit with being that guy in the afterlife.

    • @badluck5647
      @badluck5647 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The Pact is probably the weakest origin story among the three alliances. It is bad storytelling to just ignore centuries of hatred, the killing of Shor at Red Mountain, and Dunmer traditions of slavery.

@@dadshirt6681 While Orsinium and Dark Heart of Skyrim have great storylines and world building, that doesn't dismiss that the original game has some of the worst additions to the franchise. The Pacts existence is obviously a gameplay justification and High Rock and Valenwood were major disappointments.

hey i have a video idea: how would the elder scrolls online end? since every region has its own questlines with like the wyrd sisters, the dark brotherhood, necromancers and so on, how would the powers in each of the provinces react too tibers septim`s rise and conquest?

  • @derskalde4973

Maybe a weird request: could you maybe do a Video about resurrection in the Elder Scrolls?
Because it feels like something that works in TES, but seamingly isn't a part of it.
Most prominently, Alduin brings the dead Dragons back to live, and while I previously thought, that it makes sense, since TES Dragons are beings outside of time, I recently watched a Video on the shout He uses, that apparently just turns time back, so it _could_ work on other species (provided you have a perfect understanding of time and death, like Alduin has)?
Some of the daedra, especially Molag Bal, seem to love bringing people back, either as living or undead.
Individuals like Wulfharth and the Nerevarine apparently were brought back several times.
In early Lore, priests in temples could apparently resurrect dead people, and it seems there is at least one case in the current Lore, where a priest resurrected a dead Boy.
And hagravens can apparently also resurrect the reachfolk, though I read somewhere, that their resurrection spell is an instant version of the briarheart ritual?
And then I recently found the Song "Pray to the Hunter", where in its music video, it seems like the man is resurrected at the end. And from what little I was able to find, it seems like the Song is canon?
