Jay is honestly the most refreshing contestant to me. I like that even though he was so frustrated and discouraged, he picked himself up right after the outburst and kept trying! It is my personal taste, but I honestly prefer his vocal color over many of the others who won the parts before him. Rather than a matter of who deserves what part, I just mean to say that Jay has the base to improve his vocals. Of course if he wants to try rapping, he should gain as much experience and experiment as much as possible. However, it's too early to write him off as "rapper not vocal." I think vocals are absolutely trainable (as long as you aren't tone deaf, and Jay DEFINITELY isn't) and you don't need to have a high range or even a wide range in order to be a good singer. Even though trying to expand vocal range is good training and can help with versatility, I hope Jay gets to know his own voice better and work with what he has. His dancing isn't the most fluid of the contestants but there's his own personality in it. I look forward to seeing how he will polish his techniques. It's easy for contestants to get wrapped up in interpersonal maintenance. I hope he can learn as much as he can from everyone around him and take advantage of the environment. Stay real and stay strong!

Jay said it's humiliating and stubborn but it's not humiliating and even if he was stubborn I like that side of him. He didn't give up and that side of him also shows that he's willing to do anything to get to where he need to be for his dreams. He needs to keep that confidence and energy the same in the future although he needs a little guidance and balance. But with his attitude, it can be good too because being an idol is when you're willing to risk it all if you want it all to happen even if it doesn't come to you. Keep your head up. Jay has a voice that currently works perfectly and beautifully in a mid-lower register. I think he's a person who could easily be both a vocal and rapper. no matter how many times jay got humiliated bc he couldn't get the part he wanted, he never gave up and kept on volunteering for the remaining parts he didn't really want. even if his pride got crushed so many times, he held himself high. even if it was the most humiliating thing he'd ever experienced since he became a trainee, he didn't blame anyone. instead, he accepted what was given to him and worked hard to make the best out of it. it really took him a lot of courage to do something like that, didn't it? bang pd said he's stubborn, and i can now see how that characteristic of him makes him shine on and off stage.
the thing I love about jay was that despite everything he took the small part he got he did amazing. you can tell there is so much potential in him and he is hard working no matter what. I also want to point out that he never called out anyone when he wasn't being chosen and choose to accept whatever part he got although he was clearly upset. he could've easily held a grudge but instead choose to push forward and we can see that in his fancam. I don’t know how long has been jay living in america, but he got that american boyband vibes, like itttt, love ittt our morning fairyy! 💕 though jay’s dance could’ve been better at some part, i like that his dancestyle match the song pretty well!
I think Jay would really grow more in this show to be better one. He is BH trainee that means they saw all the potential he has that will be developed. But I also think that he needs Heesung guidance (i’m pretty sure they are good friends) cause Heesung is a good leader and calm and mature. He can definitely help Jay to grow. And Sunghoon, to balance him out. Since Sunghoon can work under pressure yet still remain calm. But I always think Jay and Sunghoon are like opposite twins and Heesung as their older brother whom the two always look up despite difference.

After watching episode 1-8, I now fully understand why Jay has a persistent personality. Persistent people have: an all-consuming vision; burning desirel inner confidence; ability to adjust and adapt; commitment to lifelong learning; and role models that act as guides and mentors. They persevere in spite of fatigue or frustration, and that is Jay. Jay is one of the I-landers I want to debut because of his strong personality. Idols should have a great personality that is impactful. Jay not only possesses this personality trait, he is also hardworking, focused, competitive, and determined. - he is basically a leader material, good in dancing, singing and rapping (all rounder), can cook for the members (one of the 2 trainess that only know how to cook in i-land so must include him!), the aura is just perfect, good looking, the morning fairy, the massager of the group, takes care of ALL members well eventho they continuously voted him out of i-land, he has a pure heart, can give up his position but still work hard cuz cry and give up is not the way to debut for him, strong-minded, talented af.

MAGIC💜SHOP Right! His voice right now isn't suited for high notes, but that's not to say that with more practice he won't be able to hit high notes. Jay has a voice that currently works perfectly and beautifully in a mid-lower register. I think he's a person who could easily be both a vocal and rapper. Honestly, I prefer him more as a vocal than a rapper, his voice is just that lovely to listen to...

no matter how many times jay got humiliated bc he couldn't get the part he wanted, he never gave up and kept on volunteering for the remaining parts he didn't really want. even if his pride got crushed so many times, he held himself high. even if it was the most humiliating thing he'd ever experienced since he became a trainee, he didn't blame anyone. instead, he accepted what was given to him and worked hard to make the best out of it. it really took him a lot of courage to do something like that, didn't it? bang pd said he's stubborn, and i can now see how that characteristic of him makes him shine on and off stage.
the thing I love about jay was that despite everything he took the small part he got he did amazing. you can tell there is so much potential in him and he is hard working no matter what. I also want to point out that he never called out anyone when he wasn't being chosen and choose to accept whatever part he got although he was clearly upset. he could've easily held a grudge but instead choose to push forward and we can see that in his fancam. I will continue to cheer for him and I'm so proud of him

I think Jay would really grow more in this show to be better one. He is BH trainee that means they saw all the potential he has that will be developed. But I also think that he needs Heesung guidance (i’m pretty sure they are good friends) cause Heesung is a good leader and calm and mature. He can definitely help Jay to grow. And Sunghoon, to balance him out. Since Sunghoon can work under pressure yet still remain calm.
But I always think Jay and Sunghoon are like opposite twins and Heesung as their older brother whom the two always look up despite difference.

After watching episode 1-8, I now fully understand why Jay has a persistent personality. Persistent people have: an all-consuming vision; burning desirel inner confidence; ability to adjust and adapt; commitment to lifelong learning; and role models that act as guides and mentors. They persevere in spite of fatigue or frustration, and that is Jay. Jay is one of the I-landers I want to debut because of his strong personality.
