I remember watching this on my Dad's big screen TV, and it was such a positive, encouraging SOTU, I wasn't even aware that she shredded his speech and practiced throughout - until after when that was all anyone could talk about. We have to do better at not being distracted by people behaving so disgustingly.

Vocational programs in every high school in US? That would be an incredible initiative! I hope they follow through on that statement.
High schools should be buffets of numerous courses run by professionals in each field.
The students would get to pick and choose what they're interested in rather than be coerced to sit in some union-run daycare.
In Okla every highschool student has the opportunity to go to vocational school you have to be a Junior and senior. Free of charge to the student and his family.

Yes back in the day 1970s and 80 we had vocational schools. Great for cranking out tradesmen. The the unions only help relatives to get trained in the trades. The trades are the future not college degrees unless you are learning a trade such as accounting or nursing....etc...
This is one of the best State of the Union addresses that I’ve ever heard. If this doesn’t move you, I don’t know if you love this country the same way I do.
