Great review as ever Nigel. I really enjoy watching your enthusiasm for the engineering that has gone into a kit. The wind speed monitor you asked about is called an anemometer. Looking for to seeing this build.
Hello from across the pond! Nice review. Love a guy that loves the challenge of the tracks. Would love to see it built. I'm working on the stash before I buy anything else. Nice that the Islander had only 8 wheels. A nice break from tracks.
Hi Nigel, I think the M10 should be more correctly described as a Mobile Protected Firepower vehicle as opposed to a Light Tank. That said, at approx 42 ton it is definitely "light" in comparison to the 70+ ton Abrams!
Looks a lovely kit this. It’s actually an Infantry Support Vehicle rather than a ‘tank’ therefore much lighter than say an Abram’s or Challenger. The Hydropneumatic suspension is more about logistics than anything else, easy to replace/repair, also increases mobility and crew comfort 👍
@ thanks buddy. I did think of that after the Yom Kippur escapade? I also wondered if it made the main gun more accurate to “weld” the hull to the ground? Will you be building this one Luke?
It is for hull down emplacement. Where a hollow is graded in the ground so that only the upper portion of the tank is visible. The tank can kneel in order to fire from the opposite side of the hill defilade. It provides a lesser target for the enemy, yet allows more range for the main gun to shoot downward.
Nice oob review, Odd that nobody (that i can think of anyway) includes notes telling you what the PE wheel masks are actually for!,and you have to supply & fit the 3 rods on the blank firing adaptor!.
Just noticed you asked how she’s getting on Annie. She is doing me in!! I’m too old for a Puppy lol. House training is proving difficult but all else she is amazing!!
@NigelsModellingBench that's great Nige, it's nice to see you more happier, and I'm loving all your reviews and builds, keep up the great work and tips that you give, I also would love updates on Dotti, all the best Annie x

Dear Nigel,
I’m grateful for your explanation of the “Booker” name- I like this kind of history.
Another good review!!

Many thanks!

Awesome video, Nigel ! Can’t wait for you building this one ! 👍🏻🍻🐶
Nice kit and especially nice that one doesn’t need aftermarket parts to build a great kit.👍
Yeah, it is a stunner at first glance...
Loving building tracks proves Nigel has taken in too much Extra thin fumes 😂😂😂
I know where I'm mailing my tanks tracks from now on 😂😂
Thank you for this review.
Glad it was helpful!

Hi Luke. Hope you’re well? So why the Lean fore and aft mate?
@ they can use the suspension to increase or decrease the elevation of the main gun mate

@@NigelsModellingBench I will be doing this one and the Bradley, next year I reckon as a little treat to myself

The Chieftain (Nick Moran) has a comparison video covering this and the other (failed) prototype, which is worth watching.

Hi Nigel sure this vehical doesnt have "Windows" All the armoured vehicals I have been in have periscopes, alot safer.
Yeah, thanks for that... are you sure they arent stained glass and leaded lol.
It's lovely Nigel but for God's sake don't start yet another build before you finish some of the others you've already started !
Why not LOL???

Nice review Nigel, I’ve always liked the Bradley so I may try that first.
My interest declined to zero as i saw the track links. Bring back rubber bands
Rubber bands.. OH NO!!!
