I never actually got to play any of the Pikmin games except for the demo for Pikmin 3 Deluxe on the Nintendo switch but I really would like to play this game for real also I would assume you're going to war with Pikmin
Yep. Once you figure out the fast way to kill him. He's easy. Just grab your purples, use red potion and throw them between his eye before he comes out

Alexander Richmond only battle I ever sacrifice whites on is the one against the giant cow thing. actually on most playthroughs that's the only time I lose any pikmin ever aside from the final boss.
zach gaines giant cow thing? You mean the one that it’s eyes change color depending on active captain? If you need to know how to defeat him I can tell you, then you can have no pikmin dying.
Position your captains so that one is one each side, and then switch captains whenever he turns to face the one you're using. If he's constantly turning, he'll have no chance to eat your pikmin. Should he choose to, though, simply dodge or recall your pikmin with your whistle.

And I couldn’t do anything because by the time both my captains recovered from one hit the wollywog would just instantly land on them both again. So I couldn’t do anything but watch both my captains and my pikmin including all of my yellow pikmin die.
