Stanton really is a difference maker. He was intentionally walked in the middle of his AB late in the game because he worked the count so well that the Royals knew he was likely going to swing on the next pitch and they didn’t want to take a chance…..even with 2 outs already and a runner already on base. He was that dangerous this series. Go Yankees.

LFG YANKEES!!!! People can say whatever about Stanton but he comes through! Having his bat is well worth it! Judge is starting to peak back, Soto doing him and Gleyber coming in clutch! I love to see it!

Yankee fans and we can all agree Stanton was the MVP of this series even though he is a DH, but critized Ohtani for being a DH but he did it the whole season and carried the Dodgers.
I agree, but the critics use that as an excuse not to award it to a DH, but no DH ever led every offensive statistics in the league and went 50-50 (normaly DH has only 3 or 4 stolen base a year)

Good to see Judge get going a bit. Without him playing to his full potential they don't make it out of the division finals so hopefully he keeps it going. Neither Cleveland or Detroit will be a walk on the park.

Boone deserves a lot of credit this season for experimenting with the bullpen, demoting Holmes, and allowing one of the other to rise, which happened to be Luke Weaver.

Stanton, Clay Holmes, Weaver, and honorable mention to Verdugo who came in huge in game 1. I give it Holmes over weaver because he pitched in all 4 games, didn't allow a run, and his game 1 performance was huge. Last night Holmes did the hard part. Retired the top of the order, so Weaver didn't have to do face any of their top guys in the 9th other than Salavador Perez.

As a Yankees fan, we're lucky this game was in KC, they hit two balls to right field that in Yankee Stadium would have been homers, and not a good night for Cole...he has to be better than he was tonight or....
What? Cole was amazing tonight he got through almost the whole game and didn’t allow any runs he did exactly what he was supposed to do. we need a little more liveliness in our lineup but i’m excited to see whatll happen in alcs.

I've been a diehard NY Yankee fan for as long as I have been able to catch/throw a ball. That being said, I have relatives from KC, so I feel bad for their loss. My late uncle was a Royals season ticket holder back in the 70s. The one and only live game I attended was KC Royals vs. Seattle Mariners in KC, 4th of July weekend 1976 (The Bicentennial!) KC won. I got to see The Great George Brett play from right behind home plate! It was Epic!

It's not just one guy. Cole shoved, Weaver is a beast, Soto is always a tough out, and Stanton continues to prove he's a beast come postseason baseball.
Volpe is amazing too. What a great short stop.

As an O's fan, I'm salty. Salty my team got swept out of the playoffs again. Salty I found myself rooting for the Yankees. And salty that they made it out of the division round. Yankees were lucky that the call wasn't overturned in game 2 that ended up being the difference in the game, and they were lucky that this game wasn't in yankees stadium because two of those balls are gone. Royals kept hitting balls over 100 mph straight to ppl.
