Selfishly we forget that celebrities have a private life. Thank you for sharing such intimate photos of your family...Clarence was the embodiment of grace and dignity without whom we would lose the depth of many, many masterpieces... Rest in love Clarence and may the good lord look over your loved ones....
I met Clarence briefly in Dublin, 2009. I said "God Bless you Clarence", and he replied "God Bless you my young friend". What a wonderful man, what a wonderful legacy. Thank you Victoria for sharing this lovely tribute.
R.I.P The Big Man, Everybody knew when you was on stage because of that beautiful and soulful sound you produced amazed everyone, such a great person, how 5 years go so fast I remember being near the front at London calling in 2009, why you played your solo piece to jungleland, that talent and that sound was priceless. My dad was your fan and he past his love for and passion for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band down to me and I will never here a better saxophone player than you ever again. The world has lost one of the greatest musicians ever but in my eyes a true legend and a very loving person, I'm very lucky to say that I have seen you play and listen to your greatness. We all miss you The Big Man.
Never will another ever come close to being Clarence. He wrote volumes with the music he made come out of his instrument. The man burned brightly and gave the world joy.
I was an officer in Dallas when Bruce and the E Street Band came to town... Clarence reached down to shake my hand... An internal investigation was launched because of my alleged unprofessional conduct... I was found not culpable...I will never forget Clarence aka The Big Man...On Drive All Night... omg... perfection in no way comparable.... Through the wind, the rain, Clarence will always have my love... RIP Big Man....Heart and Soul

Rest in peace great man, without you the stage will never, ever be the same again, every time I hear a saxophone solo I think of you, when I hear the notes of "Sax In The City", still today a tear is felt........ this year is almost 50 years ..... thanks Big man....... ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Brought me to tears almost instantly. The combination of Bruce's voice somehow always containing some elements of sadness and melancholy, and Clarence's heartfelt soaring saxophone lines are a wonder of this world we can only be grateful for that it existed and lasted until it did. My deepest condolences, we mourn with you!
I have seen Clarence in the E St. band 30+ years with my BFF Melissa. She passed away in 2016 from pancreatic cancer. We loved your husband and every time he played I lost my shoes and everything. I play every song just so I can hear his Saxophone. I’m so sorry for your loss
Thank you Victory Clemon we miss your hubby and our sax man he was the best Jake is right close to him in sax playing no one can touch them sax wise thank u for letting the world have him in our lives for the great Ness he has thank u Robert Schuhlein. He will never be forgotten promise u Bruce will keep his memories alive .
I'm 53 years young now. I grew up back in the 70's listening to the cranking rock of heavy metal like Rush, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Ted Nugent etc. But there was ALWAYS one song by Bruce that I was drawn to, "Jungleland". The BIG MAN put a heavy twist on then what was considered R&R with his solo in that tune. Back then, I was not a fan of the horns and to me bands like Chicago were outdated. But, what your man did with that horn gave a NEW and intriguing meaning to R&R Victoria. I was heartbroken when I heard of his passing and knew that Bruce would never be the same. The BIG MAN was a classy well evolved and VERY talented person. And from what I see in this video, you are as well. May god bless you always by reminding you your life was blessed by the one and ONLY...BIG MAN!
Faço minhas as palavras do Giuseppe!!! "Descanse em paz grande homem, sem você o palco nunca mais será o mesmo, toda vez que ouço um solo de saxofone penso em você, quando ouço as notas de "Sax In The City", ainda hoje uma lágrima se faz sentir ........ este ano faz quase 50 anos ..... obrigado Grande homem'' .......
I was 17 yrs old when i saw him at the Allen Theater in Cleveland Ohio the year was 1975 I am now 58 and still tell people it was the best show I ever saw.Over the years I saw them many times. He was the heart and soul of the E Street band,I still tear up every time I watch Jungle Land it brings back so many good memories.Thank you so very much for posting this I miss him so much thanks again he was the best.
Thank you for sharing these Mrs. Clemons, When I was 9 my step mom was a huge Bruce fan. Anyway she had the Born To Run on LP (ask kids today what a LP is and you laugh), and I saw the cover. I still recall thinking who is that big bad ass black dude with the sax?, 'That's BIG MAN!' she said. Then she spun up Born To Run and that blaring sax, man, I was hooked. I had never heard sax played like that before. I went and told my friends and my friend Tommy, he was the same age, well he had just gotten a sax for his beginning journey into music and I asked him had he heard of of Clarence and he was like 'uh yeah why'd you think I started playing?!'. True story.
Heart & Soul..... and Sax! Drive all night, the song that made me a fan of the saxophone, and of the Big Man (The River was my first E-Street band album, didn't know Jungleland then). We still miss him. R.I.P Big Man!
Victoria, thanks so much for giving us a glimpse into the Big Man's life with his loved ones and cherished friends. Beautiful stuff. Makes me happy to think Clarence had such love all around him during these years. Also a vivid reminder that life was just more fun for all of us when he was around. Of course, he remains with us and always will.
Just saw Bruce and the band at MSG and it was spectacular I've seen them 70 times plus since 1978 and Jake is wonderful but the Big Man was just another level of personality and the love between him and Bruce will always be something beautiful to so. Thank you for posting this . Love from Long Island
RIP . ME missus and I bought the E Street Album back in 1976 and we still play it today 2020. Thrashed during the Covid 19 Stage 5 Lockdown down here in Sydney!
A pure legend , grew up listening to that unforgetable sound, miseed so much across the world. R.I.P. Clarence . Very sorry for your loss Victoria , great video and tribute , it shows you the love he had and shared with family and friends, bits of his life would not of seen, thank you. All the best from south east Ireland .
Still miss you Big Man. I've learned now that you can't out run a broken heart. But I gave it a shot in my 20's. I guess the best thing I can say about Clarence is there were those nights driving alone down the interstate when Bruce's voice and that sax felt like the only thing I had in this world. They were my friends, my guide, and my teachers on a search. I think Clarence knew that a lot of people felt that way trying to navigate life and he took that responsibility very seriously. And that's what was magical about his playing.. Thank you Big Man. 🙏
Beautiful tribute Victoria it's brought a tear to my eyes. I'm listening to E street and bruce since I was 14, I'm 44 now and I can't explain the loss I felt when I heard the sad news about Clarence passing. He is a legend and he'll never be forgotten especially by all his friends and fans world wide who love him dearly and to whom he turned music into pure magic. RIP big man.

The Highs and Lows of my life have either been celebrated or comforted by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Clarence, if I may call him by his first name, his musical talent still rings in my ears, His family lost a great man man, we lost a musical genius. My thoughts are with Victoria and their family
Dearest Victoria, what a beautiful tribute. Thank you so much for allowing us to see a side of Clarence that most of us never saw. I assumed he was a happy man, and you photos proved that. I loved seeing him perform, his talent, style, and class were always right out there. God bless you for sharing him, take care , and thanks again.
Very beautiful family. I listen to Mr. Clarence everyday on my way to work. He keeps me trucking ! Love Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Bless you and your family.
This video of another man's life is the sweetest, saddest thing I've ever seen on the internet. Clarence meant so much to so many of us people who never met him face to face. It's hard to imagine the joy of knowing him personally, or the hollow sorrow that will always hurt, or the strength that he left for his loved ones to carry on. Thank you for sharing this with us.

The song, the sound, the memory. Thank you Victoria, the Big Man's vibe is a personal one to each E- Street fan, it's just something that gets in your veins and never leaves and you don't want it to either.

Thank you so much for sharing these photographs.
The Big Man left a huge space but I'm glad to see that his cousin is trying to fill his shoes .
Believe his #NEPHEW actually replaced him. Doing a GREAT job on the #SAX. His uncle would surely be so proud
Johnny Canuck yes he is doing an excellent job and the chemistry between him an The Boss is like it's been a lifetime .

Saw Clarence playing with Bruce and the E Street Band many times over the years. He was a force of nature and something very special. RIP Big Man
thank you Victoria for sharing Clarence with us. I first saw him play in 1981 as a teenager. Clarence and his music and spirit live on today with the ESB, an ever present soundtrack to my life.
Beautiful tribute Victoria. Clarence was such a gracious man, he played with me twice at Jim Mondo's club over on US 1, it was a big thrill for us. It sure looks like you guys had a blessed life together. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thanks for sharing Vic and sorry you and I never got the chance to meet. I knew and spent time with your husband back in his Sea Bright & Big Man's West day's. Glad he was able to find the happiness he sought in life while he was with you and I regret not reaching out to him before he passed. Peace
