    Hi Jeff,
    Thanks for posting this video. We’ve had our 2021 Platinum Highland V-6 for about one year now. We especially love the HUD, the ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, the rear view camera, rain sensing wipers and the radar sensing cruise control with lane keeping assist. A few of these were not necessarily needed but were wanted. Now, I don’t know that we will ever own another vehicle without all these fantastic features. We Love our Highlander Platinum V-6!
    I forgot to mention how we love the V-6 engine. It provides plenty of power for freeway merges and of course passing slower vehicles. We are averaging a bit over 23 mpg over this year passed in mixed driving. The best mpg we have had was on a road trip south down the I-5 Freeway. Our average speed over 350 miles south was 72mph and one mountain pass up to about 5000’ elevation. We got 25.8mpg. For that type of driving and at that speed, we were extremely pleased.
    Rick from Oregon

    You might also want to point out how the 2nd and 3rd row seat belt buckles slide into the C/D pillar slots and have a groove to hold the buckle tongue. This is a subtle but thoughtful feature that keeps the belts out of the way when not in use. Moreover, it keeps them from rattling and knocking around. (Same thing with the overhead storage slot for the 3rd row middle shoulder belt. It's in the center ceiling of the rear cargo area.)

    I have a question for 2022 highlander platinum hybrid, on mpg.
    I got my vehicle like 2 months, why there is disconnect between distance to empty km to the l/100 km,
    So when when I fill up my tank it says distance to empty is 648 km, and that value Dont change even if my liter /km goes from 7.0/100 km or 9.0/100km, my crv would change the the distance to empty based on 8.5/100 or when it 11/100 km. Thanks

    Traded in my Cadillac XT5 Platinum for a beautiful Silver Highlander Platinum early today. After doing research on the vehicle and test driving it I was sold. I only regret is that I ever walked into a Cadillac dealership. I've owned two later model SRXs and then the XT5. The High5Highlander Platinum has superior tech and a better ride quality. I never thought I would say it, but the XT5 Platinum is a joke compared to this vehicle. My Caddie started showing its lack of quality shortly after the 33,000 mile mark and limped around until I just dropped it like a bad habit at the 40,000 mile mark. I now have a vehicle that I love and trust compared to my XT5 that turned into nothing but a pig in an evening gown. Great video kind sir.

    Great review on this Platinum Highlander. I do really like the look of these new highlander's but just to big of a vehicle and a lot more power than what I really need and that is why I have I have stayed with my Rav4. WOW there is a lot of stuff on here. I think these are really nice but I like the look of the new XSE a little better. The one thing I don't like is Toyota really makes you pay extra for a lot of these features to have and I think that really raises the cost a lot on them. I know some other brands don't do that and a lot of these feature are more standard well at least that is what I have heard. Yes it is a really nice vehicle but to spend over $52,000 is crazy and to much money in my opinion. If I was to get one of these I would want it in the hybrid. I wish they would make the XSE model in a hybrid like the XSE is in the Rav4.

    Jeff, Can you help. I want to purchase a new Highlander Platinum but need a hitch put on, but am told I would lose the hands free lift gate option. I was told the sensor could be moved at the factory when ordered to accommodate a hitch. My dealer says they can't. What is the solution or the truth here? This could be a deal breaker because I have a boat I need to tow from time to time

      @robertpickren4000 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Jeff, I have the same question as John about installing a Toyota Hitch on the Platinum as still maintain the Kick-to-Open feature. The Owner's Manual clearly shows that the Platinum model has a hitch configuration that relocates the Kick Sensor but the dealers seem to be in the dark on this.
      If anybody can get to the bottom of this mystery you can! Thanks

    • @Glory-Days-Fishing

      @@robertpickren4000 Maybe he only answers the easy questions. The hitch is a deal breaker for me if I can't have the kick to open sensor moved to the side to allow for the hitch install

    • @robertpickren4000
      @robertpickren4000 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Glory-Days-Fishing Hey John, for what it's worth, I have confirmed with my local Toyota dealer that the redesigned hitch parts kits for the Highlander with/Kick-Open feature is now available as a dealer install option. It is not available as a factory-install option. This kit relocates the kick sensor to the left of the hitch so that the Kick-Open feature is fully operational. The parts are massively back-ordered which is not surprising given that the Highlander is an ideal towing vehicle. It's puzzling that the Toyota Engineering/Planning team took 2 years to solve this fundamental issue.

    Great vehicle. But the thing that I don't like is that it's basically a big SUV with only seating for 4. The 3rd role is crazy small not even for kids because they never stop moving let's be real. Just leaves you with the front and second role.

    Your jokes are (very) lame. But the content describing the car is not bad.
