Fun fact: most people know South Carolina was the first state to leave the union to form the confederacy, but it was also the first colony to declare independence from the British, 3 months before the rest
English colonies in Virginia and Massachusetts were in 1607 and 1620. They came well before they took NY from the Dutch. Also forgot Spain's entry into Florida and New Mexico a century earlier.
Completely skipped over when the US was invaded by Pancho Villa in 1916, which triggered the largest and most expensive manhunt in US history, resulted in the first ever use of motorized vehicles in a military campaign, and ultimately gave the US military knowledge on how the German military was fighting in Europe during WW1 since the federal Mexican army was being trained by German forces in order to suppress the revolution it was experiencing
Very big mistakes in the video: you forgot to put the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, which was one of the most impressive nations in Eastern North America before the Europeans arrived. Also, wrong flag for the Mexican Empires. Also, you forgot Sweden’s colony in the Americas.
The historical accuracy here was just utterly wrong the Spanish landed first And the French did not have any of the U.S. East Coast they had most of Canada and the mid west and I am surprised how I did not see the Spanish on the map
The Spanish empire started in the Caribbean around 1490 and started the colonization of most west South America in the 1500s, the vikings arrived alot earlier in 900 AD in the island of Newfoundland but left in the 14 hundreds and thats when the Spanish Empire was the only remaining country in the Americas, followed by the British, and then French.
The Spanish settled in Florida and The American southwest long before the French, Dutch, and English settled in America. Also, they used a U.S. Civil War song for the American Revolution. They also left out Alaska and Hawaii as well as U.S.Territories.
Imagine that you're just vibing with your buddies and then three a-holes just come barging into your home and fighting over who gets to own it while you have flee for your life. If you don't feel bad for the Native Americans, you're not a good person.
I loved the video but I thought there was something about Alaska and Hawaii ik abt what happened with Alaska but not with hawaii Also what about the Texans? They gained independence right? But later became a state?
5:09 the british did not have the red on top of the white in their flag it was only the white scotland and the white and red england which was great britain.
So where’s Alaska and Hawaii? The Gadsden Purchase? Puerto Rico? Guam? American Samoa? Marianas Islands? Other American territories? Kinda glossed over things there.
And the Republic of Texas (1836-1845) was not shown in the video, yet the border chaos of the Texas State Government v. Biden Administration was very clearly shown at the end

8:54 Texas becomes an independent nation, years later, Texas was in 7 million dollars in debt. And Sam Houston [The First President of The Republic of Texas] ask USA to annex Texas. But their some problems [1. Texas was to big, 2. Texas was not a slavery nation.] In 1846, Texas gets annexed by the USA, and Mexico was furious about this, but that was not the cause of the Mexican-American War, the real reason is that Mexico and America had border disputes and Mexican Soldiers shot down American Soldiers, leading to the Mexican-American War. In 1848, The war ended and Mexico gave USA more than 525,000 square miles of land. And ended the war. *Hope you learned something from this!*
