@@mani_mincraft It has a pro-American bias. While the pro-American bias in itself is not a bad thing (I mean, this IS an American TH-cam Channel) when its used in the right context (like Pearl Harbor), here America and South Korea are put in a more favourable light than they were. The government that America set up in South Korea was not democratic. It was an Illminist (basically Korean fascist) one-party dictatorship that repressed leftist activity (which there was a lot of, mind you). There were several leftist uprisings against this South Korean government, like in Jeju. Depicting the South Korea of the 40's and 50's the same as 21st century South Korea is misleading to say the least. It wasn't that better than the North. The Korean People's Republic (PRK) is depicted as a baby. While that part was really cute, it just reinforces a false narrative that Korean people should not be able to chose their destiny for themselves. The PRK was a provisional government that aimed to establish a neutral, social democratic country, they had a clear vision for the country. It's just that America didn't like the idea of a leftist Korea, while Soviet Union didn't like the idea of a non-communist Korea that wasn't allied to them. The PRK was outlawed in the American-controlled South, while in the Soviet-controlled North, it was reorganized and bastardized into the totalitarian communist dictatorship as we know it today, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). America is depicted as being opposed to the division of Korea, when as I've already pointed out, they weren't. Edit: I'm not an expert on the topic, the information I have about the PRK is mostly from this video of Fredda's, I think it's worth the watch: th-cam.com/video/3XKZbXo4wp8/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUGZnJlZGRh
@@OvisMilitarisHis name was Syngman Rhee, and no he wasn’t a “fully pledged dictator” like communist sympathizers make him out to be. Yes, they were under de-facto martial law and had to temporarily bolster a capitalist dictatorship to restart their economy. But that was out of necessity after the devastation of world war 2 and it was only temporary like with the ROC. The ultimate goal of both the ROC and ROK was to be a thriving country with democratic ideals and they achieved it. North Korea on the other hand was ruled by a hardline communist dictator known as Kim Il Sung and he had no intention whatsoever to make Korea a democratic nation in the future but instead to expand on his family dynasty. Just look at the two koreas today, North Korea had the advantage and a more abundance of natural resources but somehow they are still failing as a country under the leadership of Kim Un Jung and won’t even let their own citizens LEAVE.

Thank you for drawing history in Korea! So much has really happened in Korea. Among them, the Korean War. This war, commonly called the Korean War, was extremely cruel. It is truly tragic that people who were divided from two different countries and who were once the same people fought with guns to the point of shedding blood and breaking their bodies. As a Korean, I hope that South and North Korea will be unified as soon as possible and that we can live together again singing the songs we used to sing together. And I hope that this video will keep people from forgetting this terrible war fought between the same people.

As a Mongolian, our relations with both Koreas is kind of weird. When N.Korea was established, we were the 2nd country to recognize its independence (First was USSR and the third was China). Since we were under direct rule of USSR, we had good relations with N.Korea. About South Korea, they really hated us (until we became democratic). After our communist system was abolished, Japan and S.Korea were like, "Can we be friends?" and we were like, " Ok. " But N.Korea didn't get abandoned, tho. We still have close relations with them despite the fact that we are sending their refugees to South Korea. 6:57 Also, we repaid them with Soviet Union in 1939 (Battle of Khalkin Gol) and in 1945 (Invasion of Manchuko).

@@Violetisnowback do you think kim joung un watch this video and comment like this?
I love how this story is not biased towards any ideology. Just amazing.
It's not. There's nothing inherently wrong with entertainment being biased, but this video is NOT unbiased.
@@zsombortelek8411 can you explain in what way is it not unbiased?
@@OvisMilitaris well you see, I don’t know that. But now I do. Thanks :)
