Yugioh is based off the D'arby arc from part 3 The original premise for Yugi was a gambler who knew every game and would bet people their lives. It culminated in a "final" part where the main character has to learn and win a new game vs one of it's best players. The readers wanted to know how to play the game and the Yugioh we actually know was born with the prior material referred to as "Season 0"
JoJo manga up to part 5 came out in the late 80s, 90s, 6th part before 2003, and 7th, 8th and new 9th parts were new universe, not directly related to the past, Steel Ball Run (Part 7) came out in 2004 and ended in 2011, JoJolion (Part 8) began in the same year and ended in 2021, JoJoLands (Part 9) started out in 2023, but most of the anime from the videos refer to parts 1-5, that is, everything that was in the JoJo anime was already invented in the old manga. And animes just refer to JoJo so people use the phrase "JoJo Reference", since it's a well-known meme
language nerd chiming in! I think the Polnareff hand signal means: (clap) PAN (two) TSU (circle) MARU (see) MIERU pantsu means "panties" maru can mean "round", but I believe can also mean "all of it" mieru means "see"
Araki didn't care about who copy him or got reference, he just want to draw manga. At first Araki just planned jojo for 3 part, that is why Joestar's greatest enemy Dio's died in part 3. In 1987 every manga author didn't care of many part, but care about can do as plan. Btw I think Araki just glad that have much people like his manga.
because you always comparing which come first, jojo manga first released in 1987, even considered one of father of shonen manga, alongside dragon ball & fist of the north star. just jojo anine come out recently because creator decision, hehe.. maybe you will still comparing later 😂😂
Dragon Ball Z is the OG my ass. All of these came after Jo Jos, Jo Jos started in the mid 80s. You are clearly not getting the point that everything references Jo Jos, Street Fighter II was one of the first big IPs. Why do you think the phrase/meme ..Is this a Jo Jos refference?.. was so big a few years ago when the Anime was in its prime?
2:55 NO MEN, NO.... not necessarily any jojo reference... (real... not farfetched, which is not) it's based on the anime..YES NO MANGA... jojo has been around since the 80's.. jotaro was the main jojo when goku in manga was a kid...
these anime aren’t copying, they are just referencing something popular, they make it obvious on purpose

“Di molto!” is not a proper Italian expression. Any appearance is a Jojo reference.

Also you gotta remember as well most of the references came from the mangas since the late 80s
I still can't get enough of the ending
Bro's the fun police tryna say JoJo should copyright anime that reference their show lightheartedly
Actually, the ginyu force first appeared like 10 years after jojo
Jojo is probably one of the most influential anime

I mean, Shun Kaido is one huge Jojo reference
This isn't copying if everything is a JoJo reference
All these references are covered by the parody exception of international copyright laws.
matpat made a theory about the sweat lie if its true or not
also "pan tsu maru mie" one is not something that originated from JoJo's
When will you react to the openings of a certain magical index
