Events are really fun in that mod😊 sometimes also is cruelty there but thats cruel times. Sometimes is boring in army but career is really cool and u get better gear, soon better rank, u dont need worry about money. When u stay centurio ( or some higher rank) u can ask commander about letter of recommendation for prerorian legion). Be pretorian is very interesting but also more cruel, but events are...wow. Btw Rome after big fire is atm closed and around is a lot robbers and looters but soon they rebuild Rome and again u can access city. If u bored army carrer u can quit too, but idk if u join legion again u have to start from rank u already reach😅 I like first before join legion earn some renown and money and buy workshop in some city. So when I finish my army carrer I am already very rich😊 because passive incomes😊 treasure hunting also give a lot of money...check ruins, graves etc in famous locations like in Egypt or Spain but some locations are protected by other treasure hunters gangs. In Israel is legendary spear from Jezus Chryst killer too.
I had same feelings when i tried this mod fot the first time. I get overwelmed and stop playing eventhough its a great mod. Its very fun to watch though when you don't need to suffer all that reading and complex mechanics lol
Ive tried this mod after your playthrough and it has a lot of depth , however i just cant get my head around the combat ...i die instanly fighting anyone! lol. will keep at it . Your in a good legion for getting points as they are very active!
Yes indeed, huge amounts of complexity and features for sure! I'm trying to get better at fighting too, I just hope I can survive in a battle with the legion to earn points to begin with. :D
@@ReformistTMFunnily enough, if you spam K quests on the world map whenever these become available it is possible to graduate from the Praetorian Guard itself before being given the opportunity to play all the story quests associated with it. There's generally a single quest per promotion both in the Legion and the Praetorian Guard but it's sometimes two instead. The final quest in PG asks you to take care about a certain S...us guy if my memory serves me right. And no, it's not the guy you've already met :)

The story (namely, dialogues) of this mod isn't of the highest standards but as a Rome fanboy I've enjoyed playing it. I like how you can send companions to get food for your party in the middle of a siege as well as some other mechanics of the mod. You can slaves to the guy in Rome's tavern for 3000 denars each for some nice cash in the early game. Late game will provide much better income sources but it's neat for a new adventurer! Fun (spoiler) fact: . . . . . . . . Your next quest in the Legion will have some consequences based on your choice. Some short term and some long term, dependent on your decision. If you let certain 2 individuals go it might cause some interesting consequences in the late game.
Thanks for introducing me to the game Reformist. I may have found an insane exploit of the game. Try hunting in pagan areas. Killing wolves give insane experience. Selling furs to the store until the price reaches 70 and buy them all back will rake in insane amount of cash.
In future when u start be Rome mercenary or vassal is good plan with who u want be friendly. Because some big roman families hate each other. When u have better relations with some family..theirs enemies hate u more. Best way improve relations is free family member from prison. Even without quest.
The mod is impressive in scope but there are so many grammatical errors and misspellings as well as inaccuracies. I can tell the mod creator is a big Roman history buff, but many of the other factions were not as well researched and it becomes more evident the longer you spend exploring the peripheral areas and talking to religious priests and other characters.
Unfortunately the last update according to Steam was in June 2022. So it looks like there won't be one for now until we hear anything new in the possible future.

Don't need to be preached at from a game, and in such basic, simple, narrow-world-view context. Honestly, it probably could have been done really well, making the player question their personal values, morals and ethics. But it wasn't.
But that was interesting too. Such events are for better immersion. Nero fight all Christians and thats important part of mod. There is also Izrael rebel, Spain rebel. Legends. Other gŕeek and rome gods. Thats my second favorite mod after prophesy of pendor...that noldors and qualis gems are addictive😂
