      I think their demographic now is trending to be customers who will get new cars every 2-3 years so they make leasing so attractive. Chrysler, region, dealer incentives, and good negotiating can get you an otherwise really good price. I know jeeps aren’t known for extreme long term reliability but the reasons above cover that fact. Jeep’s basic limited warranty covers repairs and towing for 3 years / 36k miles, and powertrain for 5 / 60k so again those warranty plans basically covers the length of your lease. If you like them, go for it and lease!

    As a former Jeep tech, Im impressed with many of the things Fiat is doing with Jeep. I think $51k is reaching, just a bit. Hopefully Fiat depreciation will make them more affordable in 3 or 4 years. Turn signal noise 👍

    • @mpsangha
      @mpsangha 5 ปีที่แล้ว +35

      Wranglers have the lowest depreciation of any car on the market, they are expensive out the gate but you'll get 70-80% of your money back when you sell it.

    • @2W3X4YZ5
      @2W3X4YZ5 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @Manpreet Singh Very good points. I think any Fiat product depreciates more quickly than many European brands. But the Korean brands have taken the crown of depreciation superstars for a long time, so Fiat depreciation now seems less significant.

    I got mine back in May and man oh man i freakin love it! The steering wheel issue with the 2019s was actually a recall this month so they fixed that issue for my Jeep at the dealership, got a card in the mail and they covered the cost. At far as the tops, i got mine with a 3 piece hardtop, noise is tolerable, not a big issue. You might hear more noise with soft/fabric tops. Only downside really is just the price but its always on high demand. 👍🏻

      The technology and levels of refinement you get in vehicles nowadays is absolutely unreal compared to their counterparts even 10 years ago! Look at any Chrysler or GM product compared to what they produced before the recession! So their prices relative to the quality and features of the products haven't gone up that much, at least not an unreasonable amount, but what Austin said is definitely correct, wages haven't risen nearly enough to keep up with incremental rises in cost.

      Mac Sc Maybe I’ve aged out of the market. The highway drives kill me. Lol. (98 wranglers might as well be 89 wranglers - drive wise.)
      They do keep a high re-sale value so - it’s money well spent for you.... I just need some comfy seats and no water dripping in on my head when it rains. Lol.
      As soon as the economy gets back up and running - I’m looking at a RR Velar - similar price. With an extended warranty of course / I’m old enough now to write it off for work)
      Actually the New Ford Bronco is a possibility- if Ford could catch a break to launch the new line.
      All the best to you - I’m sure you’ll enjoy yours. No disrespect. ✌️

  • @ggolds5

    The Hard Top is pretty quiet by the way and heated seats and steering wheel get really warm almost HOT. People keep knocking Jeep Reliability. If you look at Consumer Reports, even though there are some rough years, in the past 3 years, both the Wrangler and Cherokee actually do quite well. The 18 Cherokee got a Much Better Then Average score. The Wrangler did as well for 17. There are some spots here and there but if you look at Honda Accord and Toyota Camry, believe it or not they fair about the same. I can tell you that in the 90's my 4 new Wranglers were very reliable , and then they were rated horribly. My Sahara now with the 6 is perfect after 3K miles. My wife's Cherokee the same. The quality of both is exceptional. People are bitching about price but if you drive one, and actually check them out up close, you can see why they are so pricey. In addition the safety now built into them is a big reason what ALL cars and trucks these days are out of control price wise. Have you looked at the pricing on any new Pickups- light duty. 55-85K for the new Ranger and Chevy's. The larger 100/150 serious Chevy, Ford, Dodge trucks. Some to 85K . That's insane. However those numbers aren't made up. IE people now demand safety and quality features that are so high that manufacturers can't price them within the regular "Plumber Jo" budgets. My plumber by the way is named Israel, so no knock on the name Joe!. The wind noise is higher then most cars but in no way is it excessive or even tiring. I switched out the 2+ foot long antenna for a 6 inch antenna from Amazon. It cut the wind noise in half. Handling is excellent. Ive had everything from a Range Rover to a new Corvette Grand Sport so I know good handling and this Jeep handles very well. Tire rollover?. Wobbly? Not at all, so not sure what he's talking about. Ride is really pretty good. Our Mazda CX5 was bumpy, road noise irritating, and seats too firm. The Wrangler seats are very comfortable. Actually the Cherokee seats are insanely comfortable. I have the auto low and high speed auto emergency braking, radar speed control, lane change warning, and yes, the steering in mine is perfect. Highest resale value of an vehicle on the road. Retaining %92 of it's RETAIL sticker price after 4 years. I wish I had the same with my Kia Sorento. I had to wait almost the full lease term to get out of it. The only reason I got out 3 months early at all is because the Jeep dealership also owned a Kia dealership and they wanted the highest end Sorento's for a winter sales deal. I guess I shouldn't complain. God Bless!.

    Wranglers would be a great vehicle for $10K less MSRP. The inflated prices don't jive with the sum of the parts, and can only be rationalized by FCA's realization that: 1) They don't have a real competitor in the US and 2) People are paying it, so why reduce the price? Sad.

      The starting sticker price of a 1997 (first year of the TJ) Wrangler Sport was $17,140. Adjusted for inflation, that's between $27,000 and $28,000. The starting price of a 2019 Wrangler Sport is 28,045. That's almost the same price, but it's for a much better vehicle all around. With high demand, tougher safety and emissions regulations to follow, and with many significant improvements to the product, why would they lower the price? Considering what you're getting, you'd think they would raise their prices, but they've haven't.

      The price difference has a lot to do with all of the off road goodies in the high trim wranglers. You can take a rubicon through the toughest trails at Moab and it will get through without a problem with a decent driver. Throwing a v8 in a Durango they’ve already produced for many other vehicles in their lineup is much cheaper.

    Having now driven both the 6 cylinder with the manual and the turbo 4 with the auto, curious as to which combo you prefer.

    • @ggolds5
      @ggolds5 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I got the 6. i don't trust a brand new design Turbo 4 in any vehicle. The 6 is strong, fast, and has a great history for durability.

    The only problem with Jeep 2019-2020 is the play in steering wheel. it annoys a new driver a lot when it required to put lot of afford to keep jeep in lane. i took it to the dealership and according to them nothing wrong with it but if you see on jeep form and everyone own 2019-2020 has same problem and no recall has been issued yet.

    • @johnnyedify
      @johnnyedify 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      A Wrangler built for off road does not get sports car steering. It is that way for a reason. It does not look like play in the steering , just a slower ratio.

    • @BoopSnoot
      @BoopSnoot 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Ecosport? Yuck! That's the garbage that we used to only subject Latin America to, that somehow is now for sale in the US. Ugly, slow, poor handling, and not even that economical.

      DumbDuck44 I know; but they did a POV of the Toyota CHR. I’m just want hear what he says about the Ecosport.

    • @martinscocan5221
      @martinscocan5221 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@BoopSnoot you forgtot to add that all Ecosports are fully built in INDIA. Third World Car built in a Third World Country and sold in the US!! Way to Go Ford!! By the way I was born in Argentina and have been living in Canada since 1984. Currently in Argentina now for holidays. I know all about the Ecosport, if you think the current one is bad you should have seen the first generation that came out here in 2003. At least now it is the Third generation and Much Improved over the Original. The fact that it is built in India and SO expensive is unforgivable. The ones that they sell in south america are built in Brazil and much worse quality than the ones sold in US and Canada built in India. I would stay away from them.

    this Wrangler Unlimited or a Grand Cherokee Trailhawk? My wife has a Wrangler itch, but I don't think she knows what she would be getting into with the Wrangler Unlimited. She loved her '04 Pathfinder and I think the GC Trailhawk would better suit her (needs) than a Wrangler. The only problem is we see a Wrangler every 5 minutes in our SW OH area. Wranglers are cool, but I'm not totally in board...yes, yes, happy wife, happy life; but if her "dream" car turns about to be less than desirable, then what?
