Honestly it's understandable why he thinks that considering how unbelievable the situation seems. It's surprising he's still alive. He could've opened the bus then the monsters visited him that night but he didn't so he had some sensibilities. He should still be alive as the bugs that attacked him are not real.

In Ep 9 Ethan says that Victor’s drawings represent a story: “they all fit together and tell a story. And once we figure out the story, we’ll know what to do next. That’s how it works. We can’t finish the quest unless we figure out the story.”
@@srely3786 Ethan is connected to the place, which is why he saw the Boy in White and had seizures when he arrived, so regardless of his mood, his ideas and implicit messages are important. It is natural and realistic for him to go through this period of fear and pessimism now. At first he experienced it as an adventure, and was happy with the place because it brought the family back together.
They keep changing the story about his drawings. First, they were his memories. Somehow, they are now his sister's drawings, and now they are his mother's stories

This show is amazing and just keeps getting better with each week. I wasn't expecting Randall, Merielle and Julie to be The Three. I have high expectations for the season finale.
I think she was something different! Like in the one scene they clearly show her eyes wide open looking in the direction of the mirror! I think that was to show the difference between her eyes and Mira’s! Mira’s eyes looked like she was possessed or taken over by something!
I got a sprawling idea... the music box is a good thing. Alot happened in this episode, so much that it was easy to miss the one clue that explains everything. The appreance and the comment of Boyd's wife - 'come back to me' - once the music stops. Build off everything that's happened and in the end Abby was right, the town is a shared persistent dream. Abby woke up and like the movie 'Inception' the music box is a kicker to snap people from that dream, the 'things that come' are representations of people in the waking world pulling people from the persistent dream. Being a persistent dream it neatly complment's Sara's idea that those who leave it (those who die) leave an echo of their fear within the dream state. The dream is linked to native american mythology and the first dreamers where around the civil war era. They feared spiders and puppets (the forest walkers), etc. And over time people have willingly or inadvertantly entered the persistent dream. Maybe its more of a shared coma of mystic origin, and while in that state people don't age? For example: Tilly is one of the doctors from the ward where our characters are being monitored. Tilly entered the dream state to check on the 'patients'. For example: Elgin entered to try and get his parents to wake up (Ellis and Fatima), they have been in the ward for decades. The three that were claimed by cecadas where also voluntary participants whose deadline for achieving their goal is up - if they stay in too long they too will be trapped inside. Julie wanted to save her brother, Marielle wanted to save Kristi and Randall lost track of his goal due to the memory fog of entering the dream state.The music box is now waking them from the dream state. But the people in it don't know this, so if they can stop the music then the volunteer participants won't be kicked from the dream. Due to the mystic origin of the dream state there is a mystic method that will break the dream and wake eveyone. Because it's all a dream anything can happen in the story - which is ideal for a 'Lost' successor series.

17:01 When Boyd tackled Jim inside the RV it was because Jim said he could hotwire the van and get to his family, so yes they hot wired it. The real question is why they didn't just do that to begin with, while everyone else looked for the keys.
Anybody notice the monster Donna saw when she first looked out the window she was in all black and kind of hiding behind the tree unlike the other monsters that were out in the open something about that monster is off she could possibly be a witch she disappeared after that scene

It’s the story of fairies, like Ethan and Julie were telling in the first episode in the RV with the finger puppets. Faeries can be wicked and take sides (light and dark faeries) to play their games, using the people as pawns. Faeries can read minds and use magic and talismans, have rules, riddles to dicipher.
There is an element of a shared subconsciousness where the being controlling the town knows everyone and their inner fears. Sarah mentions Nathan´s fear of cicadas (2). Boyd mentioned how worms are creepy (S1)
In my opinion, the name of this series, "From," comes into play when each new character is introduced with a question: "Where are you from?" And on another note; where's the little old lady the one who did that rain dance. She's on my sus list.
If the cicadas really fed on fears, then Randal's fear is: he's in the forest with no weapon/proctection, Mari with the side effects/withdrawals and Julie probably fear for her dad's safety.🤷
FYI, they did hot wire Donna's car. Jim mentions how easy it would be to hot wire so despite that Randall threw the keys away, Jim was able to hot wire it

And every shot he fired at the monsters was a hit, with the exception of one shot they didn't show land, but we're left to assume also made a hit. He got him in the shoulder and the stomach. He wasn't trying to get a head shot. He was trying to get the bile into their system. (Yes clearly Boyd is my favorite character, lol).
Rewatched ep. 47. Tilly has 4 kids and 7 grandkids. Eugine has a raven on his tshirt. He crocheting owls with tilly. The cave had drawings of 7 ravens, are the kids reaching out to julies mother as a warning. I wonder how many ravens where on the trees in ep1 s1. ? 3 butterflies on the wall of ep 9 s2, 3 people have now had the bug dream. Bugs turn to butterflies?
I've been saying from the start that children are the focus of this whole thing. It's a nightmare playground and art class. It's a field trip and campout in a dark forest. It's a mysterious and often convoluted picture storybook with an unknown antagonist and an unpredictable ending. It's all the tales and fears and experiences that make a child's world both vibrant and macabre. Victor is a lone survivor and a man-child who still draws with crayons and carries his secrets around in a lunch box. I think he was intended to be the new start to a story we are watching every week now. The sun isn't a mystery to grown-ups. But it is to a child. Kids don't remember scientific facts too well, but they recall nursery rhymes. Fear and memory go hand in hand with youthful experiences. Now the why.

You have to remember it's a tv series with plot armour and such. I was hyped after hearing the guy on the radio but it seems that plot has been abandoned or delayed. This show has everyone guessing which is the reason I watch it 😂

Killing people in process. 2. Abby's nightmare: This place is just a dream; not real.--Jim and Randle's plan/ideas about town invade their minds. 3. Victor's mom: Told Victor's sister stories of the lighthouse and civil war soldiers.--Taby and Jade now have same visions. 4. Christopher nightmare: Christopher saw the symbols and they drove him crazy.--Jade now sees those same symbols and he is obsessed with understanding them. *These are just a few that I remember but feel free to add on...👍 **pLUS I think Sara is a major player is what's happening in FromLand. Even the theme song points to her (Que Sera) 🤷♀ ***Also how did she get home AFTER DARK after killing Tobey (SEASON 1 EP2)??
How do we know that Victor's Mom told stories about lighthouses and Civil War soldiers? Who tells kids stories about lighthouses and Civil War soldiers? That's just a woman's supposition based on kooky drawings.
@@guyjperson In the episode before (EP. 8 I believe) Victor leads Taby to the drawings in the trunk of Christopher's car. It is revealed that the drawings are from Eloise (Victor's sister). She drew pictures of the stories her mother told her while they were at FromLand. I do agree Victor is not a reliable source being that he suppressed the memory of his sister and other facts from the history of the town but that's all we have to rely on. And yes the stories may have been too grim for the sister to know in detail.
The questions we need to be asking are Why did the monsters decide to surround the RV? not colony house or any house in town. Why was everyone in the RV able to hear the music? Why didn't the music box show up?
Called that bullet shit not working. Marielle 's dream last episode foretold that. The town maintains exact numbers of humans- so I'm guessing Randall returns as the new Smiley to maintain the balance.
I have a theory that Tabitha is Victor's sister. The bracelet she lost is the same one victors mum was wearing in which may have given the idea to Jim to make the bracelet as she may have mentioned having one as a child but the memory of her mum and victor are suppressed. She also looks similar to both victors mum and sister and they seem to have a connection while also being able to see the children and given the mission to save them from the lighthouse.
But Victor's sister looked around the same age as him.. maybe two years younger at most.. Tabitha looks way too young to be his sister. Victor looks way older. Before she was born older.
Tilly-the old woman from the bus is also suspicious. She knows that Fatima is pregnant and I would've accepted her reason if she said she overheard the conversation between Christie and Eliis but she gives this oh I've been there done that reason hmmm
I think the theory that time is different for all of them when they arrive is getting slightly more traction now. Sarah alluded to the map she saw and asked where kenny came from and the question of why victors mom would tell stories of civil war soldiers was asked… a few episodes ago the kids were explaining what internet was and victor dismissed it (granted he was like 8 when he got there and now like 60). I also think maybe the mole theory, although I don’t fully subscribe to, got a little traction but maybe in the opposite direction. Tilly might be another good force or acting on the behalf of one similar to the boy in white. She gave up her morphine in a previous episode maybe to ease with the withdrawal cravings and mentioned she’s on borrowed time. She now “knows” and pointed out that Fatima is pregnant triggering Ellis’s memory. Idk but I love this story and it’s really fun to watch every week.

Good question! That one girl who got nailed to a tree had a cell phone. Julie had one too but I haven't seen it since the RV crashed but I'm surprised people don't still just charge and use their phones 🤔

When victor was confronted by Jade about not being upfront about the symbol he keeps seeing and that if he wanted to go home, Victor said that he was home. I’m so happy you’re talking about this show I feel like I’m the only one watching it

What's up with the lighthouse picture being different in episodes 8 and 9? The one Tabitha picks up in episode 9 is drawn more brick=like with brownish crayons and has yellow "trees" at the base that I originally thought was fire. The one she shows Jade in episode 10 is drawn like a grid in grayish black crayon with blue-green trees at the base. Significant or just a continuity error? Thoughts anyone?
If someone is killed/dies via cicada, do they become one of the monsters? So would everyone that was in town when Victor was a child when they died, did they become the monsters in the forest?
No, these monsters are dressed in 1950’s or early 1960’s outfits. Victor’s people’s massacre happened in 1978 and the people were ripped to shreds and he buried them all.

This scene in particular shows that Sara actually went towards Toby's north with the scalpel, not his stomach. I've been working through this with my buddy @emansreviews and we think there's something about the mouth or throat that is a focal point for a lot of the people who die

Never noticed Donna mad at anything. Honestly don't think the mole theory holds up but can understand why Randall thinks that as it's a pretty unbelievable situation.
if Randall wasn't afraid of them he would have went outside. He only talked that smack because of the Talismen protecting him (the others are the same way except they dont talk crap and antagonize the monsters, well Fatima did once) they are afraid to go out at night but they live comfortably in the house with the protection. This is very cool video. So, we have three people who got attack by the cicada. Randall keeps breaking agreements, breaking people...Mari stole the morphine. And Julie was touched by Victor when he helped her. Two people dreamt about the old nursery rhyme. Elgin dreams that the boy in white said it. Kenny heard from a telephone call. And two people heard it in real life--the dude whose sister died. And Bakta who got it from her grandma. Now we can make the 3 circles ven diagram: Dreams, real life, and cicadas. I think we have the first part of the old nursery rhyme down, And I think "no one here is free" means free from consequences? I am not sure how that applies to Julie unless she is not the getting attack by the cicadas and she is just having other issue. And "here they come, they come for three" means they refer to the cicadas. But I cannot make heads or tails about the last part "unless you stop the melody". I mean the people attacked by the cicadas are not dead, but if no one does anything, then they will die. So, I think the people who dreamt the old nursery rhyme and the one who heard it in real life have to do something to stop them from dying. And the only thing I can think of is the bile they got from Smiley? They will have to inject it to them?
1) I think Randall, Julie and Marielle are trapped in a nightmare. They need to stop the music in the nightmare so they can go back. 2) Elgin is wearing the same clothes since the beginning of the season, he told Julie that he doesn't shower, is he afraid of water? 3) The old lady always causes discomfort every time she says something, she is very suspicious. 4) From what Ellis said with Kristi I think something will happen with Fatima's baby inside her belly. 5) The number 47 appeared on Jim's radio and Tilly mentioned having 7 children and 4 grandchildren. 47/7 and 4 inverted.

I enjoy your breakdowns after watching each episode. My only advice would be to remove the music you have playing in the background. I've never noticed it before, maybe this was the first week you did it, or again i hadnt noticed in the past. But while I really love that intro song, its cool and creepy as hell, the remake of whatever will be will be, or whatever its called. It's kind of distracting hearing it, and then also trying to listen to what your talking about. otherwise keep up the good work man!
My latest theory is all of these occurrences are the result of Victor’s (or maybe his sister’s) drawings/imagination/stories. All I really know is with only ONE episode left, they have a lot of explaining to do lol!

It is natural and realistic for him to go through this period of fear and pessimism now. At first he experienced it as an adventure, and was happy with the place because it brought the family back together.
They keep changing the story about his drawings. First, they were his memories. Somehow, they are now his sister's drawings, and now they are his mother's stories

This show is amazing and just keeps getting better with each week. I wasn't expecting Randall, Merielle and Julie to be The Three. I have high expectations for the season finale.

I got a sprawling idea... the music box is a good thing.
Alot happened in this episode, so much that it was easy to miss the one clue that explains everything. The appreance and the comment of Boyd's wife - 'come back to me' - once the music stops.
Build off everything that's happened and in the end Abby was right, the town is a shared persistent dream. Abby woke up and like the movie 'Inception' the music box is a kicker to snap people from that dream, the 'things that come' are representations of people in the waking world pulling people from the persistent dream.
Being a persistent dream it neatly complment's Sara's idea that those who leave it (those who die) leave an echo of their fear within the dream state.
The dream is linked to native american mythology and the first dreamers where around the civil war era. They feared spiders and puppets (the forest walkers), etc. And over time people have willingly or inadvertantly entered the persistent dream. Maybe its more of a shared coma of mystic origin, and while in that state people don't age?
For example: Tilly is one of the doctors from the ward where our characters are being monitored. Tilly entered the dream state to check on the 'patients'.
For example: Elgin entered to try and get his parents to wake up (Ellis and Fatima), they have been in the ward for decades.
The three that were claimed by cecadas where also voluntary participants whose deadline for achieving their goal is up - if they stay in too long they too will be trapped inside. Julie wanted to save her brother, Marielle wanted to save Kristi and Randall lost track of his goal due to the memory fog of entering the dream state.The music box is now waking them from the dream state. But the people in it don't know this, so if they can stop the music then the volunteer participants won't be kicked from the dream.
Due to the mystic origin of the dream state there is a mystic method that will break the dream and wake eveyone.
Because it's all a dream anything can happen in the story - which is ideal for a 'Lost' successor series.
As soon as Elgin found out Fatima was pregnant, I thought how he looked like Ellis & Fatima mixed together

It’s the story of fairies, like Ethan and Julie were telling in the first episode in the RV with the finger puppets. Faeries can be wicked and take sides (light and dark faeries) to play their games, using the people as pawns. Faeries can read minds and use magic and talismans, have rules, riddles to dicipher.
There is an element of a shared subconsciousness where the being controlling the town knows everyone and their inner fears. Sarah mentions Nathan´s fear of cicadas (2). Boyd mentioned how worms are creepy (S1)
Love what Avery said about what other people think of her is none of her concern. Wise words to live by.
In my opinion, the name of this series, "From," comes into play when each new character is introduced with a question: "Where are you from?" And on another note; where's the little old lady the one who did that rain dance. She's on my sus list.

FYI, they did hot wire Donna's car. Jim mentions how easy it would be to hot wire so despite that Randall threw the keys away, Jim was able to hot wire it
But why wouldn't they try that before dark? The keys being thrown and the van not being an option was the only reason Boyd decided they'd stay in RV

And every shot he fired at the monsters was a hit, with the exception of one shot they didn't show land, but we're left to assume also made a hit. He got him in the shoulder and the stomach. He wasn't trying to get a head shot. He was trying to get the bile into their system. (Yes clearly Boyd is my favorite character, lol).

Rewatched ep. 47. Tilly has 4 kids and 7 grandkids. Eugine has a raven on his tshirt. He crocheting owls with tilly. The cave had drawings of 7 ravens, are the kids reaching out to julies mother as a warning. I wonder how many ravens where on the trees in ep1 s1. ? 3 butterflies on the wall of ep 9 s2, 3 people have now had the bug dream. Bugs turn to butterflies?
The nursery rhyme is reminiscent of "Rock a bye baby..."

I've been saying from the start that children are the focus of this whole thing. It's a nightmare playground and art class. It's a field trip and campout in a dark forest. It's a mysterious and often convoluted picture storybook with an unknown antagonist and an unpredictable ending. It's all the tales and fears and experiences that make a child's world both vibrant and macabre. Victor is a lone survivor and a man-child who still draws with crayons and carries his secrets around in a lunch box. I think he was intended to be the new start to a story we are watching every week now. The sun isn't a mystery to grown-ups. But it is to a child. Kids don't remember scientific facts too well, but they recall nursery rhymes. Fear and memory go hand in hand with youthful experiences. Now the why.

"To where the road on either hand
Lead onward into fairy land,
Where all the children dine at five,
And all the playthings come alive."
You have to remember it's a tv series with plot armour and such. I was hyped after hearing the guy on the radio but it seems that plot has been abandoned or delayed. This show has everyone guessing which is the reason I watch it 😂

I THINK SARA IS ON TO SOMETHING...What if the fear of the people who died there become a part of the forest?
1. Nathan's nightmare: fear of cicadas--Town is now overrun with them. Killing people in process.
2. Abby's nightmare: This place is just a dream; not real.--Jim and Randle's plan/ideas about town invade their minds.
3. Victor's mom: Told Victor's sister stories of the lighthouse and civil war soldiers.--Taby and Jade now have same visions.
4. Christopher nightmare: Christopher saw the symbols and they drove him crazy.--Jade now sees those same symbols and he is obsessed with understanding them.
*These are just a few that I remember but feel free to add on...👍
**pLUS I think Sara is a major player is what's happening in FromLand. Even the theme song points to her (Que Sera) 🤷♀

@@guyjperson In the episode before (EP. 8 I believe) Victor leads Taby to the drawings in the trunk of Christopher's car. It is revealed that the drawings are from Eloise (Victor's sister). She drew pictures of the stories her mother told her while they were at FromLand.
I do agree Victor is not a reliable source being that he suppressed the memory of his sister and other facts from the history of the town but that's all we have to rely on. And yes the stories may have been too grim for the sister to know in detail.
The questions we need to be asking are Why did the monsters decide to surround the RV? not colony house or any house in town. Why was everyone in the RV able to hear the music? Why didn't the music box show up?
Called that bullet shit not working. Marielle 's dream last episode foretold that.
The town maintains exact numbers of humans- so I'm guessing Randall returns as the new Smiley to maintain the balance.

I have a theory that Tabitha is Victor's sister. The bracelet she lost is the same one victors mum was wearing in which may have given the idea to Jim to make the bracelet as she may have mentioned having one as a child but the memory of her mum and victor are suppressed. She also looks similar to both victors mum and sister and they seem to have a connection while also being able to see the children and given the mission to save them from the lighthouse.
But Victor's sister looked around the same age as him.. maybe two years younger at most.. Tabitha looks way too young to be his sister. Victor looks way older. Before she was born older.
Tilly-the old woman from the bus is also suspicious. She knows that Fatima is pregnant and I would've accepted her reason if she said she overheard the conversation between Christie and Eliis but she gives this oh I've been there done that reason hmmm
I think the theory that time is different for all of them when they arrive is getting slightly more traction now. Sarah alluded to the map she saw and asked where kenny came from and the question of why victors mom would tell stories of civil war soldiers was asked… a few episodes ago the kids were explaining what internet was and victor dismissed it (granted he was like 8 when he got there and now like 60).
I also think maybe the mole theory, although I don’t fully subscribe to, got a little traction but maybe in the opposite direction. Tilly might be another good force or acting on the behalf of one similar to the boy in white. She gave up her morphine in a previous episode maybe to ease with the withdrawal cravings and mentioned she’s on borrowed time. She now “knows” and pointed out that Fatima is pregnant triggering Ellis’s memory.
Idk but I love this story and it’s really fun to watch every week.

Good question! That one girl who got nailed to a tree had a cell phone. Julie had one too but I haven't seen it since the RV crashed but I'm surprised people don't still just charge and use their phones 🤔

No, these monsters are dressed in 1950’s or early 1960’s outfits. Victor’s people’s massacre happened in 1978 and the people were ripped to shreds and he buried them all.

This scene in particular shows that Sara actually went towards Toby's north with the scalpel, not his stomach. I've been working through this with my buddy @emansreviews and we think there's something about the mouth or throat that is a focal point for a lot of the people who die

Never noticed Donna mad at anything. Honestly don't think the mole theory holds up but can understand why Randall thinks that as it's a pretty unbelievable situation.

This is very cool video. So, we have three people who got attack by the cicada. Randall keeps breaking agreements, breaking people...Mari stole the morphine. And Julie was touched by Victor when he helped her. Two people dreamt about the old nursery rhyme. Elgin dreams that the boy in white said it. Kenny heard from a telephone call. And two people heard it in real life--the dude whose sister died. And Bakta who got it from her grandma.
Now we can make the 3 circles ven diagram: Dreams, real life, and cicadas. I think we have the first part of the old nursery rhyme down, And I think "no one here is free" means free from consequences? I am not sure how that applies to Julie unless she is not the getting attack by the cicadas and she is just having other issue. And "here they come, they come for three" means they refer to the cicadas. But I cannot make heads or tails about the last part "unless you stop the melody". I mean the people attacked by the cicadas are not dead, but if no one does anything, then they will die. So, I think the people who dreamt the old nursery rhyme and the one who heard it in real life have to do something to stop them from dying. And the only thing I can think of is the bile they got from Smiley? They will have to inject it to them?

I enjoy your breakdowns after watching each episode. My only advice would be to remove the music you have playing in the background. I've never noticed it before, maybe this was the first week you did it, or again i hadnt noticed in the past. But while I really love that intro song, its cool and creepy as hell, the remake of whatever will be will be, or whatever its called. It's kind of distracting hearing it, and then also trying to listen to what your talking about. otherwise keep up the good work man!
