this show keeps getting better and better season 4 going to be crazy bet there's going to be alot of time jumps going back to the early days we can finally see what really happened i ant bloody wait
I guess I have to say I think season 3 was a net downhill - the first 3 episodes were mind-blowing (especially the tarot card fan service that we didn't yet know wouldn't go anywhere), but episodes 4-7 and even 8 were mostly filler. Then, the reveals in the last episode were pretty cheap. The reveals come mainly from Fatima, who just announces the whole child sacrifice thing without us even seeing how she learned this (did the kimono lady explain all this? Did Fatima have a dream/vision? Did Elgin know this and tell her off-screen?); and from Tabitha, digging up secret hidden memories, and Jade, who apparently also dug up secret hidden memories without us really even seeing his perspective or realization of his own repressed memories. Basically, the first 3 episodes of the season were great, and then most of the really interesting stuff in the rest of the season was just announced in dialog in the last episode, instead of them being shown to use over the intervening episodes, which would have been much better.
@tmarbut 😂😂 you nailed it, it's like you read my thoughts exactly.!! Why spend sooooo much time with the pointless arguing between the characters without it moving the plot, and then when you move the plot it's not even explained . ANGHKOOEY MEANS REMEMBER, DUHHHH. Every episode my bf was like I'm done with this shit but I was like we are stuck in it now we can't abandon Boyd and Jade (Jim was my one of my favourites) 😢 the writers did him dirty last two seasons mostly lolol
The man in yellow of the evil entity said “Knowledge comes at a cost”. That is after Jade and Tabatha deciphered the slips of paper into musical notes. Jim is credited for that and it costed him his life. So the special music was played the children came. Jade and Tabatha remembered their history as other people. The repetitious brown bracelet she made. Jade has been having visions of his previous selves colonial man, union soldier, and Christopher perhaps? All to help him remember the original story was the sacrificing of their daughter and the other children for eternal life. But that backfired on the townspeople who keep up with the times in their clothing options as best they can. Now the monsters liked souvenirs but those seemed recent. Fascinating story
Great theory, which I have been thinking for a long time. This is a game, and it has rules. The people have not taken the time to figure out the rules. One of the monsters told Randall that thats not how the talismans work; it has its own rules which the monsters appear to be following. It's like the monsters are playing hide and seek, and the talismans are home base. Every time they find something else or get more information, it is like going up to another boss level in a video game, therefore getting new challenges. Probably why the monsters stopped screaming and running; the people were not running anymore because they could just stay inside, so the monsters started talking to them through the windows. Also, every time the "player's" get an upgrade, they lose something related. Kenny found food, they lost Tian Chen, who helped provide the food. Boyd found the talismans which provided security, they lost his wife Abby, who had her military background possibly used as some security. Jim's death may be the loss of knowledge/memory as he provided the key to ultimately remembering... Ethan is also starting to forget things
I think this balance or yin and yang of good and evil and reincarnation is part of a grand design by the yellow king to keep from land going. But we don't know what his motivation is or if there's a higher power. Like what does he want or need. Is from land just a playground for him to have fun because he's bored or does he feed off of people's suffering or is he just a sadistic mental individual. But this season we got a big reveal already so let's keep some mysteries for next season.
Boyd has been put thru the ringer but killing the wifey was in order to save Donna and the town folks as wifey lost her mind started shooting everyone. But Boyd could have shot her in the leg to disable her without killing her though.
When From is over, we need a prequel movie/limited series of the original inhabitants and their deal with the devil. How it all went down in the beginning. 😎
@FunctionalJunkie_ I feel like we will get that in season 4. If there's 5 seasons, that would be like the entire season 4 is the penultimate episode where most series show you what happened in the beginning. They set it up perfectly to just have Julie flopping around through time trying to put right what once went wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if season 4 is almost nobody from the past 3 seasons except for some few clips here and there of her jumping through time, with the majority of the season being her in the past, split between Miranda's time and te original beginning.
Bro you’re spitting so many facts that I’m retyping this comment on thanksgiving lmao. I got caught in the switch of videos. Anyway i agree with a ton. I think it’s deeper than just hope. Happiness. Joy. Healing. Recovery. All those things. Giving into addiction anger n so on all give the entity power.
I believe the town might be expanding slowly as Victor noticed the trees were moving, maybe the goal of the entity is to grow larger through gaining power. We know the town can only take a certain amount of people and that’s why the monsters massacred a bunch of people, the entity isn’t strong enough to hold too many people, and knowledge also weakens its glamour over the town. When Jim was walking towards his camper van, I had the impression he realised something, before he had the chance to share his thoughts he was killed.
Believe me in From there are no "good monsters" Sara has thought so, Elgin also. Remember that Christopher (Jades Reincarnation) says to the Boy in White "everything here lies" including the BIW. The Man in Yellow is a older version of the BIW. We already saw that he is getting older. Everything we see already happened. Everything we saw so far is the past, that proves Judies "timetravel"
Honestly that would be too much of complicated mindfuck and would disappoint me if the BIW was the Man In Yellow. Miranda saw the MIY in her visions and he was a 30-40yo man judging from her drawings. While victor was talking to the BIW as a kid and the BIW didn't become older (until the town changed but i think they just wanted to keep the same actor even if he had puberty). Also the boy in white seems good while MIY clearly isn't, why in the future that is also the present the boy in white suddenly turn evil. Would be too complicated.
@hushglowy Nobody says that the BIW is good. As I see it he hadn't done any good. In From every Monster is a bad Monster! Just look at Sara and Elgin. Victor clearly says to the BIW "You Changed" and one more thing when you need to ask someone if he is our friend, than that person clearly isn't a friend.
Exactly. It's a vicious cycle where boy in white and yellow king are the ying and yang of each other to maintain balance in from land. So it makes sense that they are the one and same person.
Boy in White is debateable still considering his last interactin with Tabitha was her getting out of the town/fromville because of him when he pushed her off the tower. Why would any other monster do that? They only search to kill
Subtle hints to this being a whole messed up game between 2 sides was when kens dad was playing a game of chess. Everything the directors put in the show is for a reason
I originally thought it could be a story Ethan made up after his brother died, and he overheard his parents fighting and talking about divorce. This was his way of coping and he used all the people, animals or places he knew or met to flesh out his story...my thoughts🤷🏾♀️😫
Remember, The monsters are pretty hollow on the inside so there wouldn’t be any blood shown in or around them. I doubt that was a monster closest to the dog after the massacre!
I love your theories and interviews with the cast! Will it be possible to interview Jim (Eion Bailey)? He is the one person on the cast I have never seen being interviewed, and now that he had such a shocking death, that would provide so many questions to ask him!
@@christinet638fax💯 ppl on X and FB were giving him a hard time calling him a shitty dad but I was rooting for him, seemed like just a dad trying to protect his kids and keep his family from getting hurt
I agree that the boy in white is "the big good", but I think you've forgotten one very important clue as to whom the boy in white is. Rember the voices told Sarah to kill Ethan. Ethan is the human form of the big good. If you think about Ethan and the boy in white they look a like but the boy in white is slightly older. Ethan knows about the different roles that are needed in a "quest." For example he tells his sister she is a story-walker, but explains that she cannot change the story just witness the story. We learned in episode 1 that children are more vulnerable to the mosters which is the reason for the windows should be nailed shut. But, if my memory is correct, the monsters never try to directly convince Ethan. Much like in a role playing game when the characters get stuck the game master will have an NPC give them a clue about what they need to do. The big good uses Ethan it's human form to give the characters clues as what to do. I think in season 4 that Ethan will become more active in solving the mystery of what has to be done to get everyone home, and the big bad will ramp up its attempts to kill Ethan.
1:50 I gotta say, I don't think that's a monster. We know there's no blood inside them. And if the boy in white did kill a monster, that was a pretty impotent move, given that the massacre still happened, and the monsters get reborn anyway.
This is a good theory too. Especially as he wears white. And remember he got angry when Victor tried to cut down the faraway Tree which is the representation of the Angkhooey kids' hope. The boy in white is a character formed from the sacrificed kids' hopes and the tree is what keeps him around
For the hope part don't forget that Boyd mentioned how the creatures howled before getting the talismans. If they feed off hope they definitely got weakened from the talismans getting found and offering them hope.
My view is that Tabitha and Jade grew up in Fromville as children. They were raised there, and they had a daughter. They have also been trapped there ever since the sacrifices. This means Tabitha's life with Jim in the real world was just a fantasy. The moment Tabitha remembers the truth, the fantasy begins to crumble, and Jim, who represented the father in the Oedipus complex, was eliminated by the superego (MIY). The superego emerges as a defence mechanism to resolve the Oedipus complex when the fantasy crumbles. The town masacre is the next big step in the cycle, repeating the cycle that is on the caves. Maybe the original town masacre was the sacrificed children getting revenge, or the MIY, or the shadow self, which I don't think we have seen yet.
I think the BIW and the entities use the tree in the road to their advantage. I believe the BIW used it to bring Tabitha and Henry back. But the entities can also see who's coming into town, like that night the monster played dead when Tabitha returned.
Could we delve deeper into Boyd’s wife’s character and explore her recollections of the past? Like Tabitha She began to remember being in the town before, and she started having dreams from her childhood in Fromville (se.1 ep8). Just before she went insane, she told her son Ellis, “This reminds me of a dream I had as a little girl.” Why did she start remembering her previous life so much sooner than Tabitha? Did she have a more significant role in the story, and the writers decided to eliminate her? After watching all the episodes, it seems like the writers abandoned that idea because she had only been in the town for a short time before she began remembering and went crazy soon after.
I heard the theory that Acosta could be another Abby. And that we only know her last name (which is intentional) so her Name could be also Abby and that will do something to Boyd when he finds out.
I think she just went insane from the town. The reference to the dream could simply be that she used to have a recurring nightmare, but when she'd wake up, all would be okay again. So she thinks killing everyone would save the people from the nightmare. That's how I interpretated it, at least, especially in the shooting scene this is highlighted (also se.1 ep.8).
The writer for this show also did lost and recycled a lot of the same ideas like the yellow king. They also had time travel and monsters but this show adds in reincarnation and immortality. Love all the mysteries as bonkers as it is. 😂
➡One thing I want to add. And this is HUGE now in hindsight. Remember when we were told that alot of our answers could be found in Season 1? Well, I found a treasure trove of major hints. It is found in every episode. It is found in the beginning intro of every episode, when they play that "Que, sera sera" music. In Season 1, Episode 1, go to TIMESTAMP 8:48. The intro song is still playing, but you will see the picture of the skeleton that has red crayon around it that was draw over newspaper (it only appears for like 1.5 seconds). If you can read under the skeleton and red paint, it tells a story. AND it throws in names, that if you google them, are symbolic to what is happening with the town. Here are a few that I could read: First Column: "Ivichevitch was constantly besieged and captured by the gendarmeries at the point of bayonnets. They fought desperately on both sides. The gendarmeries (a French word meaning a military force with law enforcement duties among civilians) were ordered to take the administration headquarters at any cost. And the (illegible) were determined to defend themselves to the last shot. One door after another was broken into, but not before each was turned into a (sieve?) by the shots fired from both sides. Captain Sudeikin (google Sudeikin) and his men wore suits of chainmail, yet a gendarme was killed on the spot. Both brothers Ivichevitch (not sure spelled right) and (illegible) were mortally wounded. N(illegible) and other friend were (illegible). The conspirators were (illegible) and brought to the police headquarters. On the same night (illegible) was arrested and brought (illegible) police building. Is that a pligh(illegible). Held my comrad(illegible). N. (illegible) and (illegible) stand(illegible) with their (illegible) behind their backs and held by (illegible). In the corner of the same room were sitting Miss Armfeld (google name), Miss Patalfain, and Miss (illegible) all (illegible) helplessly. The room was filled with policemen and armed gendarmeries. Amidst (illegible) there (illegible) appeared the gigantic (illegible) allure of (illegible) comrade (illegible) known under the assumed name of Ant(illegible) dragging behind him and tried to hold him by the arms. Never can I forget his appearance. Pale was his face, darkening his eyes, disorderly his (illegible) and trembling his frame from head to foot. 'WHAT IS THAT?" he thundered, pointing at Powin and (illegible)mensky. "Arms tied! Away with the ropes!' 'Please (illegible),' said the police captain. We will unite them.' Instantly the ropes were taken away. 'Water! I want a drink!' demanded the (illegible). 'Bring the water at once! Presently...(all illegible).
I think the dogs were keeping Tabitha away from the Farway Tree that Victor had just showed Ethan. You know that kid would have shown his parents something so cool.
Is it just me or did the MIY have pride (possibly a father's pride) in how Jade played that song?? Jade growing up in Europe and never knowing his parents? I feel this has something to do with Fromville in Jades lifetime.... even though we know it goes back further with Christoper etc.
I think the good monster (boy in white) has his crew, he has his dog, which is the one with more fur, he can also project his mind inside of people head (father khatri, the bartender) the good crop, because like you said he feeds on hope and he needs to play his cards in order to maximize people hope and get out. In the other side the bad entity has his crew, the monsters, the dog with less fur, boyd's wife projection (maybe he can project her because he captured her soul or something) and he is trying to maximize the despair to gain strength. I think in the end both the good and bad entity are trapped together, and they need to destroy the other to get out, and the people of the town are just the source of their power that they use as pawns. Thats why Christopher said everything lies, because it is not of the interest of the entities to reveal everything to the people, they just want to manipulate then in other to maximize their power
@10:30 the clouds forming over the moon looks like the white monster entity …I see a hand reaching out too….as if it were viewing them in a snow globe. 🌙 like Fatima said, “even a nightmare can look like a dream.”
Anthony, some of what you said sounds like it is spot on. The ending of the last show in Season 3 revealed the man in yellow. The man in yellow who John Griffin actually saw as a person in LA is an evil entity I don’t know if he is The evil entity or a pawn in the game. It all started centuries ago when Tabatha and Jade were husband and wife in another body character name unknown they had a daughter, who had been sacrificed along with the other children so the original people of that town wanted eternal life. The guy drinking blood out of a skull 18th century breeches represents the original townspeople drinking the children’s blood out of a child’s skull? The sacrifice to live forever but not as fully human but as monsters at night ripping out the central bodies of travelers. Jade then saw the Civil War Union soldier with the missing eye. So this was another round to the game and he took his bayonet to kill Jade which happened to Jade during that period. But Jade and Tabatha keep returning back to save the children and break the cycle. In season one Ethan told his dad they were on a quest to save someone. From the show’s book The Cromenockle. Ethan is important to the game. The three caught in the dungeon are important to set free in the game I hope the children. Then there is Randall or AJ Simpson, and Mariel I can’t remember the actress’s name and Julie all will have certain powers. Julie is time travel this was revealed in Season 3 10th episode. But she cannot change the story or game. The boy in white is for good along with his dog. Protecting Tabatha Sara Victor and Ethan. Also Fatima now knows where the monsters came from. Only way to destroy them is to free the children. Only way to destroy the evil of the town is to save the children.
Wat if the boy in white is the man in yellow but the boy in white is from the past when he wanted to help but then later gets betrayed and losses hope and becomes the man in yellow In the future
Like a generational groundhog day minus living the same day over and over again. Instead the same souls reincarnating in to different people over and over, living in the same game throughout different time periods is not only bizarre asf but explains why there is still no way out
@The movie blog 1. I feel like this video ignores a lot of what we learned in season 3. We don’t know the original year, but we know that an entity (most likely a demon,) convinced a town to sacrifice their children in exchange for immortality. We learned that the children had adults that they loved and trusted in the original Jade and Tabitha. After failing to set the children free Jade and Tabitha began to reincarnate and return to whatever Fromsville is. We learned that the children poured their hope into the roots of a tree and those roots created a symbol. We know that the boy in white told all of this to Christopher who failed to act on it. As a result everyone died. Jade is obsessed with the symbol because a past life is trying to make him remember. Just like all his other visions and Tabitha’s feelings and dreams are trying to make her remember. 2. The boy in white from a symbolism standpoint represents innocence. White is what brides wear to show their virginity (innocence,) is intact, and children represent innocence. White is also supposed to be a color representing hope. The boy in white seems to be the manifestation of the hope of the children. He is the symbol more or less made manifest. 3. We have reason to believe that a piece of the consciousness of everyone who dies in Fromsville ends up staying town. This is why Sarah knows the name Abbie called him before coming to town but never called him in town. This is why the voices warned Sarah that she had to kill Ethan. That Ethan would somehow catalyze a series of events that would unstop time and lead to the death of everyone in town (another reset of the cycle.) The voices taunted Sarah that they couldn’t find Fatima in time, and thus they ended up causing Boyd to find her in time. I don’t think anything is as black and white as the viewers think it is. 4. There is a lot of reason to suspect that Randle might be the Man in Yellow. At some point Randle will time travel, and his time travel projection will not return to his body. This is how he ages to the point of being as old as the man in yellow, has no scar despite the picture showing Randal with his scar, and how he knew to warn Jim to stop his wife from digging the hole.
@ I went back and watched it again, at 22:52 of episode 3x09 Sarah says “they want you to know you cannot save her.” Yet we know even though she gave birth, she did not die. In fact, had she not given birth, she probably would have died, (how else do you stop Smiley from coming back or taking her with him?) The voices did not have to say anything, yet they mobilized the entire town to search, thus finding her and getting her help right after giving birth.
I think the good entity put a protection spell or something around some characters similar to Lost. Where they can't be killed by the monsters. Tabitha, Boyd and jade would be three confirmed. This is why they gave Boyd the illusion of choice with the key to the ambulance and Randall. When Boyd was doing his my blood of your blood they could rip his throat out way before he did that. Same thing with Tabitha in the ambulance.
Im still confused why the MIY killed Jim. He posed no threat to the town. Tabitha and Jade pose the greatest threats. Made no sense why he killed Jim. By killing Tabitha he sets the cycle back in motion and ensures there is no shot the kids are saved. Why kill Jim?
Why would he kill Jade or Tabitha? It waa confirmed they are re-incarnations. Which means even if he does kill them they will just re-incarnate again and he can't control that (MIY) by killing Jim he does damage to the entire town by killing another person giving them fear and dread
Allowing Tabitha and Jade to live gives them a chance to save the children and potentially the town itself. They are reincarnations, and by killing one of them, you reset the cycle, delaying their return by another 20 to 30 years. This essentially puts the entire process on hold. While killing Jim may instill fear, which is the intended goal, eliminating Tabitha-who currently wields the most power in the town-would have much greater significance. Remember, Miranda was killed by Smiley while trying to protect the children by getting to the tree and it took 30 years or so for Tabitha to be reincarnated and come back to the town. If I were MIY, my focus would be solely on Tabitha. That said, continuing to kill random people to instill fear in the town remains a good strategy but my goal would be Tabitha. From (the show) would be over if they did that. If you look at it rationally that is the best move for the MIY.
@@MrArys1 Maybe he needs them for another ritual or something. 🤣 Imagine if it's a plot to rickindle some woo hoo and their child is born another monster or something. "They're not your kids anymore, Jim."
Boy in white is the man in yellow in the future . BIW tru colors are slowly showing revealing he actually wearing yellow . There a pic of BIW infront of a yellow truck in prior season foreshadowing he is the man in yellow and is really controlling it all
I don't think the Entity was here, I think it was summoned by the original towns people. If you didn't take the deal/kill kids for power, you are now cursed to keep coming back reincarnated - and if you took the deal - you also still cursed but now as monsters. Either way they are still pawns, I believe the Man in Yellow is lying to the monsters - the deal itself was more than likely "live forever" but didn't tell them as monsters. I think the ritual brings the game to our reality but in its own pocket dimension. It's why the town is so many different buildings from(heh) different time periods it seems. And it also brings both Entities too. I think what the main goal is either the Boy in White or the Main in Yellow to be a young adult. And that's what happens when they feed, either on hope or despair. The Boy in White growing older (yeah the actor too but lol) to me signifies that hope is growing stronger. And the Man in Yellow appearing old but not decrepit to me shows how powerful he is. I also think he cheated at the end here. But only because of Julie. I don't think either of the Entities are directly allowed to kill any of the townsfolk - which is why the MiY has has monsters. I think Julie figured out sometime in the future that she actually can change stories outcomes which is why the MiY immediately killed Jim. Not only as a punishment for information but also - Jim was the one who was so extremely motivated to get out of Fromville in S1 and was just coming around again to solving the mystery in S3 after being so annoying about it from S2-3. I really believe after the melody by Jade, if Jim survived everyone would have made it out eventually. Now Fromville is on hard mode.
Not to mention Julie is learning time travel. We've seen her jump twice and Ethan thinks you can't change history but Julie will learn she can as she gets more powerful.
I’ve thought from the beginning that this might be a game, with both the humans and the monsters as pawns. There are powerups, like the talismans. And maybe reaching the lighthouse is level 2.
Dam, how long it took someone else to find the town after Victor mother was killed. Just imagining years like that literally gives PTSD. How victor ate if he was all alone for very long before someone else came in the town.. and whn someone came how they survive their first day?
Look....the monsters around town like smiley are vampire like monsters. They have super strength and are basically invulnerable to physical damage. They can't stand sunlight and have to drink blood. Elgin had a jar full of blood for smiley so there is that....their food.
The merry-go-round I think is important. Holograms typically created in circular units.Decades ago the visuals were great. Maybe the energy below ground has one affecting time. Could Jade tell himself to lose the cow and grab TaiChen? Monsters already decided they were eating meat not enjoying milk. Boyd was a fear factor of worms. Or reach into the energy shell and grab TaiChen. Wouldn't she sh* to see a hand and arm from nowhere? Abby? Abby in the veil of a spider web around a tree. The bottle trees look like a fair ride that has seats stretching downwards that rotates like a centrifuge. OR similar to the merry-go-round it is a local park ride. Witch's Cap...a large hoop connected by chains to top of a vertical pole. Go around fast and occasionally pull one side down causing the opposite to raise taking the participants up.Keep getting reminded of a holographic cylinder that could represent a circular time portal.Operates on thought and desire? Lighthouse is round but interacts with parallel dimensions...??? Already assumed monsters want to escape, too. Factor that wants to keep balance there and between worlds. Imagine the monsters in our world. Maybe why they are studying up on society and culture.
Soo..i was watching another channel and they mentioned something very interesting that might help us. In the 1st episode when the Matthew's kept driving thru town trying to escape it,they keep showing the RV crossing train tracks..In 1 shot the power lines are there but in the next crossing they're gone!🤔
Good theory..but that's kinda the theme for LOST. Would they do that again? Cause Jacob told his brother (the evil entity) that he'll never let him leave the island. I was thinking it was more like The Matrix. They're in a "simulator" town..They kept bringing Neo back..just like a few characters in FROM are reincarnated. And there's monsters instead of machines... And instead of rogue programs doing what they want, you have the boy in white and man in yellow.
I was the one that posted that originally in another forum. And it is based on facts. I gave Timestamps to show the audience when to pause when the camera shows Jim's van from an aerial view crossing the train tracks. The first time he does, you can see electrical poles, electrical lines, a white electric utility box, and a warning train light. Then Jim goes into town, leaves the way he came (3 minutes later), and then we see the camera giving us another aerial shot of the exact same spot where he crosses the train tracks again. NOTE: when you watch a show with this kind of mystical drama and the camera is "outside the characters" showing the environment, that means they want you to pay attention to the environment. So, in this 2nd scene, we can see Jim's van crossing the same train tracks, but now the environment is about 100 years in the past. There are no electrical poles, no electrical lines, no utility white electric box and the trees and bushes - the topography - looks alot younger, shorter. Also, when I watched it the first time, I of course did not notice it. Who would? The audience was invested in seeing Jim and his family find an exit. The Fromville trap wasn't really on anyone's radar yet. It was only after season 2 when the Timeslip theory was being tossed around that I thought to go back to the beginning and see what I missed. Turns out, I missed not only this, but alot of other stuff. I HIGHLY encourage everyone who has watched every episode, to start over and watch each one again. With the knowledge we have now, you will make some solid connections that you missed the first time.
@@deer5647this is an excellent catch. You’re right, they wouldn’t have put that in there and filmed it in that way unless it was very important. Did they go over the train tracks the first time after they had already come to the downed tree? As if the environment changed after they had already entered the fromville “area”?
I went back and did some rewatching when Julie entered the town she was telling a story about the "lake of tears" maybe that's what makes her a story walker. I feel like there might be a literal lake of tears at some point down the road I also think some people are there by chance and some people are there by fate
It could be similar to Dogma's discussion of the war triggered by (at that stage an angel) Lucifer telling God to shove his job. Cue an angel civil war, the ones on Team God stay angels, the ones on Team Lucifer get sent to hell, but most importantly - the ones who sat on the fence, and only joined Team God when it was clearly winning, wound up as lower level demons on Earth. In Fromville, the civil war was The Anghkooey Incident. The ones who were all for sacrificing the kids versus the ones trying to stop it, with fence-sitters hedging their bets. The ones who tried to stop it back in the day are the ones being tormented the most, seeing/hearing things, generally having a bad time BUT being weirdly untouchable in their current life. The fence-sitters are expendable, so that's anyone who's died as a plot device to further the torment of a Team Kids character. (Sorry Tian Chen, Jim and Tillie). Obviously, the monsters are Team Sacrifice, but the reason they're being so cruel to Team Kids is due to the ritual clearly going wrong, Jennifer's Body style. Likely because of some kind of intervention, candle getting kicked over, jar of blood getting smashed, whatever. They didn't sign up to be nocturnal monsters trapped in a dumb town, scared of talismans and such. They expected to be more like Thor or Wolverine, sort of a godlike and buff version of immortal. So, they want to take their time with the reincarnations of Team Kids. Particularly when it comes to corrupting them eg, religious types like Sara and Smellgin, truth and justice types like Boyd. They spoiled the ritual due to being good people, so the worst possible thing the monsters can do, in their worm infested minds, is make a good person evil. The Cicada Incident Three are probably more important than we think, too. Like maybe they had a major hand in disrupting the ritual, so they get the really poopy end of the stick.
I think the boy in white was happy because that means there a new set of people to come in and take another attempt at this.. because it’s happened over and over.
This theory it's been said many times with some variations here and there before S3. It sounds old, It doesnt take into account anything from S3. What about the Man in Yellow? Julie's new rol? Will the town's people still trust Boyd? will he keep his position of sherff? Sarah has already picked up a side. How will impact all the revelations that Tabitha and Jade had? and so on and so forth. Old stuff buddy.
being ripped in half is not something we've seen, but doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility for the standard monsters there. I mean, they rip off skin and limbs as if blowing gently on a dandelion to disperse its seeds. it also appears the face could be mangled up from the mode of death. I don't see the point of hiding that so inconspicuously and then showing, seasons later, that oh! btw that dead body we showed for a split second way long ago was a major hint about something fundamentally important! we'd probably know it or at least be clued on to it by now. what we do know is that the monsters are the 'tip of the spear,' and we got answers to that. they were a people (a cult, maybe) that was offered them something their value system wanted more than anything else - eternal life - in exchange for sacrificing their children. "offered" being the operative word - by something greater that is pulling the strings. they ended up being the pawns of said "chess match" you referred to. also, about that eternal life thing... we see you can't really kill them. Smiley was thought defeated, and he's reborn. whoever that was in half, victor buried and/or memorialized in some other way (collecting trinkets/valuables). I don't know the full roster that well, but he doesn't look like any of the main monsters we've seen (since he's eternal, he would have come back in a phantom pregnancy similar to fatima's)
I get the impression the monsters scream because they are enslaved or enthralled by the evil entity and are unwilling participants on its side. And so, these things that were once people, warn the potential victims, it's like a siren that warns of their coming. Boyd and other resident's point-out, that once the talismans were found, those screams stopped... (mostly). So, even though they are enslaved... they have some autonomy left... in a general sense. It could be, that they're given directives by the evil entity, and it watches as the orders are carried-out. Most nights, it starts with a broad directive go into town. Once, its pawns are in town, it waits and watches. And if a resident slips up, it takes control. Like with that dude in colony house and the female nightmare creature. Once an opening forms, the puppet has their autonomy taken away by the evil entity. Who has them enslaved. It will take advantage of these openings to kill people. What happened in colony house, the night, the creatures got in... Was the evil entity had been watching this romance develop, waiting until he let her in. Then it took over her physical actions. And after killing him, it opened the barrier around the house and gave an order to its other pawns to invade. Opposite to that, when the animals are let-out, as well as the trap for the ambulance... All those machinations were the entity taking direct control of his puppets to micro-manage their actions. If you like this explanation. I have the ENTIRETY of what I believe FROM's full story arc, could be. I have a theory video on my channel and it's a very bleak and dark possibility of where this story has already hinted at going.
Take into account the roots of the trees too. My theory for the roots: the town uses them to manipulate people even drawing in new victims frome outside to replace the ones who have experied. The roots connect to the outside word through a vast network managed by the trees. 😊
Season 3 was definitely an improvement. This show has cool membets but it's no LOST. Its like writers havr forgotten how to make good shows and movies.
Yooooo I was that too bc every painted pic he's in the trees are small and he's towering over them. I also thought that the 1st encounter of the dogs they were tryna hurt Tabitha
Good theories. I just don't think that was a monster body that was ripped in half. When Smiley died, there was no blood.
exactly what i thought, they have no blood
@@k1riedits The only evidence we have of no blood is a chopped up Smiley after Boyd gave him the worms maybe the worms absorbed Smiley's blood?
Idk it look like a human with his face ripped up that made him look like a monster
It's hard to say. Maybe a new kinda monster or hybrid. It's hard to tell.
@@jonfreeman9682we’d already see that by now.
this show keeps getting better and better season 4 going to be crazy bet there's going to be alot of time jumps going back to the early days we can finally see what really happened i ant bloody wait
All I know is Harold Perrineau better win an award for this show, crazy talented actor!!!
Absolutely 💯 ❤😊
I don’t think the body ripped in half is a monster. It looks like his face is partially peeled away
And they don't bleed!
Ok i agree
You really followed the movie closely. Nice review!
This doesn’t have enough likes. This is really good.
My theory!
I don't know how Boyd can kill his wife yet Khatri said torturing Elgin would be what breaks Boyd. Come on Khatri 🙄
Do you get!?
Facts 😂
I know right that was just the man in black man I mean man in yellow trying to stop Boyd from stopping the rebirth of smiley.
Boyd has been put thru the ringer but killing the wifey was in order to save Donna and the town folks as wifey lost her mind started shooting everyone. But Boyd could have shot her in the leg to disable her without killing her though.
Girl he ain't really have a choice but to kill his wife she was going to shoot their son elgin is completely different
This ripped in half body is not a monster, it's just the face that's torn. Monsters have dry guts, but this body lies in a Pool of blood
Great theory, great delivery, nice cut 🫡
Thank you @609younglion! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
i hear all theories except the dead body being a monster, it's too disfigured to understand, but everything else i 100% agree on best theory yet
When From is over, we need a prequel movie/limited series of the original inhabitants and their deal with the devil. How it all went down in the beginning. 😎
@@FunctionalJunkie_ There are more seasons of From. Let's not rule out that this is going to happen still.
@@tmarbutthe writers said 5 seasons
@@buriedegg8636 yes
@@tmarbut I feel like most networks go for what makes the most $$$ and spin-offs certainly do that 🤗
@FunctionalJunkie_ I feel like we will get that in season 4.
I think the man in yellow is old man victor.
That would be incredibly disappointing. It’s pretty much like saying “it was all just a dream” and makes none of it worthwhile
@@Smt_.xyea nah we’d hate a “dream” aspect
Remember, The monsters are pretty hollow on the inside so there wouldn’t be any blood shown in or around them. I doubt that was a monster closest to the dog after the massacre!
I love your theories and interviews with the cast! Will it be possible to interview Jim (Eion Bailey)? He is the one person on the cast I have never seen being interviewed, and now that he had such a shocking death, that would provide so many questions to ask him!
I’ll miss Jim. 😢

marvin said the monsters are only the tip of the spear.
If this "game" has been going on for hundreds of years, who built the town?
Yeah, that face has a beard, not a monsters mouth, the youtuber didn't notice yet. He dumb
Great video mate, I love this theory! The best I’ve seen so far
He can cross dimensions, but still don't know who what he is. Maybe incarnation of children's hope, maybe 🤔
This is a good theory too. Especially as he wears white. And remember he got angry when Victor tried to cut down the faraway Tree which is the representation of the Angkhooey kids' hope. The boy in white is a character formed from the sacrificed kids' hopes and the tree is what keeps him around
N remember Sarah said she don't think he's a boy he could appear as a boy to them but a man to his father (maybe) the man in yellow playing a game
Seems like there’s a lot of lovecraftian ish stories, the yellow king, Mr mabuse etc.
The writer for this show also did lost and recycled a lot of the same ideas like the yellow king. They also had time travel and monsters but this show adds in reincarnation and immortality. Love all the mysteries as bonkers as it is. 😂
I find it so interesting that they don’t seem interested in killing boyd. They’ve had several chances yet they never do.
Here are a few that I could read:
First Column:
"Ivichevitch was constantly besieged and captured by the gendarmeries at the point of bayonnets. They fought desperately on both sides. I think the boy in white is Victor trying to warn him
I think the dogs were keeping Tabitha away from the Farway Tree that Victor had just showed Ethan.

Awesome content
Happy Thanksgiving! I really like your theory about the dogs, boy & white etc. Makes sense to me.😊
Is it just me or did the MIY have pride (possibly a father's pride) in how Jade played that song?? Jade growing up in Europe and never knowing his parents? I feel this has something to do with Fromville in Jades lifetime.... even though we know it goes back further with Christoper etc.
Smiley ran to kill miranda..so far he is the only monster that has run in the entire show
just noticing for the first time in this video the motel sign is more complete... 'star magic motel'. interesting...
Not a strange name at all 😅
I think the good monster (boy in white) has his crew, he has his dog, which is the one with more fur, he can also project his mind inside of people head (father khatri, the bartender) the good crop, because like you said he feeds on hope and he needs to play his cards in order to maximize people hope and get out.
Absolutely Amazing Theory! It almost helped me deal with my missing From this week!! Thank you!
Wat if the boy in white is the man in yellow but the boy in white is from the past when he wanted to help but then later gets betrayed and losses hope and becomes the man in yellow In the future
This is my theory as well, I don't think it a coincidence that on the previous the boy in white mentions something about "everything is changing "
Yes exactly. They're two sides of the same coin. But the boy in white could turn into the yellow king later.
Thanks, man I was really lost in the freaking series you help 😅 I truly enjoyed all your vids keep up
Like a generational groundhog day minus living the same day over and over again. Instead the same souls reincarnating in to different people over and over, living in the same game throughout different time periods is not only bizarre asf but explains why there is still no way out
Your theory is basically what happened at the end of lost the show before from
What if the boy in white IS the man in yellow? He was getting older and he told Victor not to chop the tree down..
Ok, so Taran's theory minus the actual Tarot aspect. Got it.
Great theory! Also, I think hope is why The Boy in White could push Tabitha out of the lighthouse.
The Boy in White also appeared to Tabitha outside of Fromtown, in Maine. So, he can actually leave Fromland whenever he wants to.
The boy in white is trying to help Victor and everyone break the cycle. He knows to push Tabitha out to get help and she brings back Henry.
By the time we get to see sesson 4, the boy in white will be able to purchase alcohol 🍸 legally
Yes 😂
Lol
I think the boy in white is Ethan in a past cycle
It's possible or Ethan could turn into the yellow king. They're trapped in a cycle of reincarnation.
So is it called From because they place they always end up back in is the place they are from?
If so not sure I like that.
@The movie blog
Interesting theory, but I think the voices were taunting Sara they wouldn't find Fatima before Smiley was reborn.
That’s what I said on another forum: if this is a video game, that would suck
Now they going to be emotional and not rational for a bit giving the Miy a win.
@@Interdacted If I’m MIY I would be trying the take out Tabitha like Smiley did to Miranda. Smartest move. Set the town back years.
Not only as a punishment for information but also -
Jim was the one who was so extremely motivated to get out of Fromville in S1 and was just coming around again to solving the mystery in S3 after being so annoying about it from S2-3. I really believe after the melody by Jade, if Jim survived everyone would have made it out eventually. Now Fromville is on hard mode.
I know this is a deep show and everything comes in cycles so for the people we lost we will gain back next season as more questions are answered
Not to mention Julie is learning time travel. We've seen her jump twice and Ethan thinks you can't change history but Julie will learn she can as she gets more powerful.
Great theory!!!
Thank you @coldblooded568!
I’ve thought from the beginning that this might be a game, with both the humans and the monsters as pawns. There are powerups, like the talismans. And maybe reaching the lighthouse is level 2.
Solid theory. Much of it checks out
Dam, how long it took someone else to find the town after Victor mother was killed. Just imagining years like that literally gives PTSD. How victor ate if he was all alone for very long before someone else came in the town.. and whn someone came how they survive their first day?
I always thought it was kinda like a real fucked up game of Werewolf with Eldritch deities calling the shot.
Look....the monsters around town like smiley are vampire like monsters. They have super strength and are basically invulnerable to physical damage. They can't stand sunlight and have to drink blood. Elgin had a jar full of blood for smiley so there is that....their food.
BiW, MiY, Cthulhu, & Grandmother Spider are the 4 entities playing the game🤍💛❤️🖤
BiW is definitely benevolent in my theory as well.
It would be messed up if the boy in white could pick people who came and he picked Boyd to come as his hero player
@@marzinator Now i have got to go watch lost.
😊
Bro forgot that the monsters don't bleed. Even when Boyd cut smileys neck!
I looks like a human whose jawline got ripped apart.
I still feel like a lot of the towns people who they barely show are the Daywalker?
Well the only one we see is the yellow king. There may be more we don't know yet.
Ive been saying this. No notes. Sara says in Season 2 that the Boy in White isn’t a child at all.
Soooo basically Lost 2.0 😩😂😂😂 “We have to go back!!”
I think the boy in white was happy because that means there a new set of people to come in and take another attempt at this.. because it’s happened over and over.
Tabitha has been around the block in her past lives she’s been to married to jade, Henry, and now Jim. Victor is her child from her previous life
I love the theory. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. I hope all is well, sir.
Yes. I put this theory forward. They hey to keep bringing in players. Through those trees.
being ripped in half is not something we've seen, but doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility for the standard monsters there.
Soooo it's basically a rehash of Lost's premise...
I like those theories!!!!!
Definately makers gonna shock everyone ...... They are intelligent fellows
Good show sir.
You left basically described the plot of lost
Take into account the roots of the trees too. My theory for the roots: the town uses them to manipulate people even drawing in new victims frome outside to replace the ones who have experied. The roots connect to the outside word through a vast network managed by the trees. 😊
👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿!!! I like this direction.
Tabitha and Jade are both cromenockles. IMHO of course
Great analogy
Season 3 was definitely an improvement. This show has cool membets but it's no LOST. Its like writers havr forgotten how to make good shows and movies.
Off subject but Kristi is the cutest and when she cut her hair🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾*chefs kiss
Yooooo I was that too bc every painted pic he's in the trees are small and he's towering over them. I also thought that the 1st encounter of the dogs they were tryna hurt Tabitha
i think the boy in white is the man in yellows son that was sacrificed as well
What if Boyd can’t be killed by anything from the town?
The whole town feeds on hope that has been said a few times. This isn’t a secret.
Why would the BIW only smash one of the monsters?
He wouldn't. We also know the monsters' insides are dried up & wouldn't bleed out if they are torn apart like that.
I wonder if there is a Watchers like entity, perhaps the man in yellow, part monster and part human Halfling.
