I like it using it when possible because it’s easy to hold and blows less air than a hair dryer.

Hi everyone, thanks for all your kind words :)
I have identified a fault with the retarding solution :( Its works fine, but when shipped long distances in the non pressurized hold of an aircraft the very low temperatures damages one of the ingredients. I have set about fixing the solution to make it more robust at low temperatures. It will be ready for next week.
With regards to the Kelpie (wink at Laura Buehler) it will not adversely affect the structure of the substrate, this is by design. If you guys would like a version of Kelpie that is super strong and rigid I can look into it :) We could call it Arnie (haha). In reply to a few people that have said PVA will do the same thing, no it really doesn't, in fact ink with adhere to the PVA and will A. Not want to flow around, B. Be absorbed partially staining the PVA and, finally C. There is a weird reaction with some formulations of PVA that causes a change in the ink color over time.
Regards shipping charges, most of the products are flammable and all are liquids. As I am sure most of you are aware shipping is expensive these days, shipping liquids more so, shipping FLAMMABLE liquids....... "sticks head in the oven". That said €20 for shipping anywhere in the world is a decent price as its a flat rate I have worked out with DPD and UPS for hazchem shipping!

Hi Myriam, there is a 15 euro shipping charge to the UK from Dublin too because they have to use a courier service for delivery as it's liquids. However, I have used the layering solution and it is amazing! Happy days! 😻

Hi Miriam! I hope you’re all right. I see that you haven’t posted any videos in quite some time. I’ve been here before and watched these videos on the Kielty inks and solutions. I am so amazed that no distributor has picked them up and is selling them in the US after all these years. I guess I’m gonna have to splurge and pay the shipping from Ireland. I’m in the product is so amazing that keeps part of your work safe while you work on another part, I can’t believe nobody wants to sell it in the US. Hi Myriam, Thanks again for your wonderful and generous support to the rest of us. You asked at one point for us to report on issues affecting AI. So, here's an update. I spoke with DB Product Information today and learned that the Kamar is not recommended by them because it does not have UV protection. Instead, Krylon's UV-Resistant Clear Acrylic coating was suggested to me.
It is definitely true about Kamar not having UV protection however other sprays “move” the inks if not applied EVER so sparingly for the first or even second coat. In the description box of my videos I suggest using Kamar first (as a primer of sorts) and THEN adding UV protection sprays if wanted... that way you get the best of both worlds hopefully. 😊

Hi Patricia! First of all thank you so much for that amazingly kind comment. When I set out to start this channel I had in mind to make videos I would want to watch. I am just delighted that you find them useful!!
My background does not include teaching... I just love to share what I learn and/or discover. Education was a priority in my home growing up, as was speaking and writing correctly. My Mom always said it would serve us well and she was right 😁!
Initially I was getting a PhD in clinical psychology but got sidetracked by my craving to be an artisan jeweler (self taught). I’ve been a jeweler for 20+ years. I’ve always loved making things with my hands (woodworking, jewelry, drawing, painting, general crafts ... just give me supplies and I’ll play 😄).
Now my main love is helping others find their creative spirit and letting it out to play and make beautiful things. My hope is to do my channel full time ... to make more videos more often. If I am lucky enough to get the patrons I’d need for that, the sky is the limit. I’m hopeful because other channels have done it so I have to believe it’s possible.

I have just begun to explore alcohol ink. I only have a few Ranger colors and had considered getting more. Now, I think my explanations can wait until these are within my grasp. I love what you have shown and that they are less toxic, as I suffer from a lot of sensitivities.

Well, how funny, Myriam I was told about these inks on a group site and ordered them straight away! And then you came up with this video, I haven’t tried them yet, as they are supposed to be a Christmas pressie. Now I don’t know if I can wait until then. Another way of using them on wood is to gesso first and then two coats of triple thick varnish, it works fine. Thanks and please keep the videos coming!

Hi Myriam, I learn so many new things each time I watch one of your videos. I am so thankful. I had eye surgery today, and I'm feeling down about it-- it made things worse, and I'm still legally blind, and my eye is very irritated tonight, (as I am!), and so I can't really do anything online, except watch videos. No reading anything online... Anyways, I was feeling so depressed now at this disappointment, but after watching your video, I feel happier, and now I'm going to get my inks out and try creating something. I have only some yellow tiles, no white ones...wondering which colors might work on yellow..... Either way, I'm about to find out! great art! i am going to also try these inks! ty for the info! btw... if u dont want to wear gloves, but are concerned w alcohol ink stains ur hands.. if you get it on ur skin, even after it has dried, just pour some of that 91% onto ur hands and wash w soap and water! (i know alcohol kinda dries ur skin, but u can use a good moisturizer. Happy Arting!! :)

I've always admired alcohol ink artworks but have never used alcohol inks. This may be my starter brand (after I check your final thoughts in part two). These seem to be the most beginner friendly inks that I have seen demonstrated and that is what I need.

Hi Robbie! I found out today that Kielty will be selling tips and bottles for those who want to mix and thin their own inks. The Kielty inks are honestly the least smelly ink I’ve used. My guess is the nontoxic ingredients?? I’m pretty happy about that (being severely asthmatic 😁.)
I found them quite by accident and asked a question a couple of months back when they were first launching. When they asked if I’d like to try the ink I thought “yeah sure, why not”... I had no idea they’d be this good!

Hi Margareth! I get the sense that they are a teenie tiny company (might be just the one chemist?). They have been slammed with orders (I doubt my video helped slow that down 😂). I don’t think the inks are made from seaweed (but I don’t know)... one of the colors I used is just called “Seaweed”.

Absolutely amazing! I am a newbie to alcohol ink painting and have just started a few pieces of creation. love the nozzles that go with the KIELTY inks. By the way, just to share with everyone, I had been using small surgical syringes which is a great way to draw alcohol inks and the blending solution directly from the bottles without any wastage. The syringes are also a great way to store unused alcohol inks and will not evaporate easily. If there is a way to upload my photos, let me know how I can share with you guys my creation with the use of surgical syringes!
