Great vid! Rocking forward is so common and due to our excessive sitting/computer keyboard culture, I have not found a person yet (including myself) who knew they were leaning forward instead of back and down prior to SLT training.
Great demo Sifu Adam, I presume you saw the video of Bruce Lee doing the Siu Nim Tao form fast in his younger years. Doing it slow builds core power & then going fast builds speed & accuracy 👌
We start with slow first, to be sure you are sinking, forward pressure, mechanics, alignment. Later a little faster, never have actually done it ‘fast.’ More meditative and feel focused. I do lean back slightly, but it helps to feel yourself sinking down securely vs just leaning backwards.
You have some of the best wing chun knowledge out on youtube.

Try the wall and block and let me know how it feels.
Thanks sifu 👍
Can a tennis ball be used for the stance?
Yes you can.
How I learned it
Place a 25 kg bag of potatoes/rice in someones outstretched arms and the body naturally will take a very similar form.
It is a strong structure.
the correct formula is to watch your videos explaining the individual slt moves.
So sould the back be flat on the wall?
Yes. The lower back should completely flat against the wall.
@@sifuadamwilliss Thank you, so the upper back doesn't have to?
