Hey Jacob, you certainly could do the weaving with paracord. However, I think you would run into comfort problems with the horse. I'm not sure how much paracord would chaff the horse, but I'm guessing it wouldn't be as comfortable as mohair, or even cotton.
That one took about 6 hours. Of course, that includes time spent messing with the camera and taking care of other little odds and ends throughout the day. Probably 4-5 hours if I sat down and just worked.

What type of mohair thread is that? I think it would be really good to be able to do this.
Regular 8-ply mohair for the body and 2 ply for the interweave. If you learn how to weave them, you can have really good chinches.
