That's the difference between older and younger generations: no videos, just music. I love Mariah Carey's voice, but in the softer portions of a song, I'd take Khan. Listen to Khan's "Magic in His Eyes". Mariah is better with "impressive" songs, though.

She is a superb singer, but perhaps not the kindest person. For all that, when the interviewer sets it up for her to rate someone, they knew how she would respond before she ever came on the show. That she would be candid/blunt/harsh. Like her telling Mary J. Blige that "you don't singer a song at 8 am after you've been out all night." ANY singer knows that, even in the public has no clue as to the exercises a singer does before he/she performs. So, Khan was right in this instance. I don't know the song Blige performed (haven't heard it), but if Khan says she f'ed it up, than I can trust that Blige f'ed it up. Khan has forgotten more about music than most people will ever know. "Harsh" does not mean "wrong." It just means it wasn't said in the most diplomatic way.

That she would be candid/blunt/harsh. Like her telling Mary J. Blige that "you don't singer a song at 8 am after you've been out all night." ANY singer knows that, even in the public has no clue as to the exercises a singer does before he/she performs. So, Khan was right in this instance. I don't know the song Blige performed (haven't heard it), but if Khan says she f'ed it up, than I can trust that Blige f'ed it up. Khan has forgotten more about music than most people will ever know. "Harsh" does not mean "wrong." It just means it wasn't said in the most diplomatic way.
