Can you use a console scene and export to demo software and make changes? I'm having difficulty because the demo software file extension is different from the console

Hi. Can you record track by track a band and punch in and out and do the mixdown onto two track masterstereo only using the usb on the ui24r mixer ?

Not exactly, you could certainly record a backing track, then add a track to it via the 2 track recorder, sum them together and record another track (keeping the file separate) but it's not designed for this. If you wanted to do this, easiest is connect a PC/MAC to the Ui24R and use it with a DAW. Internal recording is either for all selected tracks or 2 track master.

Hey. Question for you. If I had a MTK recording from my UI24 on a sub stick. How would I go about editing the files in offline mode? Is that possible? I’d like to edit a rehearsal with my band while I’m away from the mixer. Thanks!

do you mean on a PC using the offline software? not really. You can edit in a DAW easily.

    Thank you very much. 👍
Are there any plans for offering ofline editing for ui16 and/or ui12, too?

I think you can do that anyway, using the web demo page? (I can't remember but I think it's the same)

Thank you very much for your fast reply.
I saw that information also on the soundcraft page.
      It just did not work.
But I think maybe I am making a mistake and I will figure it out.
Really enjoying to work with the ui16 and ui24.
Keep up your brilliant work 👍🍀

Is there any way to record overdubs or punch-ins on an individual channel? So far not finding the option in the software..

on the unit itself to multitrack NO, you can play back multitrack and record to 2 track then combine in a DAW or just connect in a DAW.

The JSON file is a VERY handy feature. However, the wording about it in the Ui24R V3 Addendum is EXTREMELY poor.
"When connecting the USB stick with JSON file directly to a real Ui hardware unit, users can now import the mixer configuration from the external JSON file."
This implies that the USB stick with JSON file can be connected directly to the Ui, and the JSON file can be imported from there. But it seems when you click "IMPORT OFFLINE FILE", as shown in your video, it opens the file explorer on the client device, meaning the client device must supply the JSON file to the Ui.
As written, that is not what the V3 Addendum text implies. It should have read something like -
"When connecting the USB stick with JSON file to a Ui connected client device, users can now IMPORT the mixer configuration from the external JSON file."
Unless this is another "bug" of the Ui24R...
