Wish I had teachers like you when going through school. Story would have been a bit different if that was the case. Thank you for being a great teacher. Learned a lot from you. Please always keep on teaching
Youre so awesome!!!! Thank you for giving us such high quality lessons for free!!! I took guitar classes for a year and i learned less than what Im learning with just a few of your videos, its insane!! Thank you, youre very much appreciated Mr. Lee 🥰
Amazing video, I cannot say how much I enjoy it after watching it atleast 5 times and ther is still so much to it.Also so so so beautiful guitar in the hand of a maestro.
In my case, strumming has been the most difficult part of learning how to play guitar. Thought I had figured out how to strum. This video adds so much more to what I already know. I'm a thinker, so it's kinda hard to just feel it, but ever since I started feeling and listening more, things seem to fall in place. Listening to a song and really getting the feel for the strumming and how it is supposed to sound really helps too. Thank you for your continuing help on my guitar learning journey. 👍💖🎸😎
@@leejohnblackmoremusic Oh, I guarantee you that I won't stop, Lee. Learning guitar has really helped my mind. I think better and I feel better. It's truly a beautiful thing. It's a gradual improvement process that's so incredibly rewarding. Trust me, man, you and others who teach guitar are saving and enriching lives! Thank you again!! 🎸🎸🎸
wow! I have learned so much from you this morning! You explain everything and make it so easy. I've written down all your steps and am on my way to practice them. I added this to my favorites. Will be back for an update. A friend of mine said jamming is one of the best ways to learn. Thank you...Heather.
I've always gravitated toward playing with my fingers, so don't feel like you're weird. I can play with a pick, but the scrape of the pick across the strings bothers me. As Lee said, there's no right way, just what you want to do. It may be helpful to learn both ways just to increase your skills. Here's an artist I love who plays with her fingers. Check out her finger action when strumming and picking on her Fender Tele Thinline: th-cam.com/video/7b4fJRPnZT0/w-d-xo.html. The sound is just so clean and kick ass! 👍👍👍
Another awesome video LJ! I still struggle with timing when strumming at times! Since picking my guitar up again after many years not playing at all, as you know - I’m struggling to finger pick! Could you possibly do a very basic finger picking lesson!! 🙏😁
1:10 pick or finger? Don't matter until it does 2:21 not a hard pick first off 3:08 placing it matters 5:47 know the chord changes 6:21 make muscle memory with your chord change and strumming
Thanks Lee👍 Top advice and very easy to follow because you explained each one of the points in simple terms yet very thoroughly. Very enjoyable to watch 👍👍👍
I requested a strumming lesson...from Bangladesh . Thanks a lot dude . You are a nice guy.Lots of love. This was a great pleasure to watch your tutorial. Don't you use your fb page or id??😴😴 I knocked you there.Stay blessed. Thanks again.
Great tips man, however if I could add one tip... just start off with playing to a metronome. Trying to learn how to play with one later is just.... frustrating. Trust me, it's worth it. I'm not gonna lie, it's boring but you will be grateful you did especially if you mainly practice on your own. Forcing yourself to practice your chords and strumming to a metronome will help your rhythm and playing tremendously. I learned that the hard way
Most beginners in my experience find it very difficult to play with a metronome, especially without a teacher. Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it😁👍🎸
This is My Divine Conception! After I had a bout with an unknown illness, took me 4 years to start recovery. Had test after test and finally found myself semi-comatose. Lost My memory, couldn't walk. Before I was play it and I hear it, it's on!!! Tuning by ear could hear the slightest C.H. sharp/flat. Got all My memory Except for Music! I was born humming, cooing yaking, talking about with My hands in time. Spent My toddler years standing in front of the radio and TV. Singing everything! I was faced with no voice, one of the tests they gave me involved a Camera that was inserted wrong and froze my vocal cords. Picked up the guitar and strumming sounded aweful. It was in tune. couldn't hear the natural harmonies let alone harmonics . I can say, my career was done. Didn't listen to music at all. One day, doing dishes a concert on TV and I was humming. My mum said... Is that you??? What's that??? I said... She was right. I started a little bit every day. Don't have the range I had but I was used to any octave. One night I opened my guitar and started at it. Well I wanted to make music so bad. I could remember 4 songs. All the chords but nothing else. I was given DVDs to show the songs that I had done and doing ok. Then I became homeless but I have my guitars and started again. But alas nobody was left to jam with. COVID shut us all down. But kept going through songs. My auto pilot seems to work.. kinds.. the other day I was laughing cause I realized how many songs by different musicians were only 2 to 5 chords one band had me going. 3 in a row and I was sing all 3 different songs. They really are the same except timing and rhythm. But I still needed to jam with a real musician to make myself keep advancing My ear to notes and chords. I prayed for just even one person to find. So the other day I was adding to my stations on TH-cam and .... There's you. I admit I had to stumble through Mega dudes who played chords but never sang. No lyrics. And only verses and a chorus, if the was one. LoL. I took a break from the madness.... Then I heard a voice say.. 10 song and only 3 chords. I thought, ok I'll give a minute to listen to it!! 😎 I couldn't believe it, was this guy really one who knows what he's doing?? Oh hell yeah!! ❤️ Thanks so much for being a true to self. I give 200 thumbs up and stars. Beginners gotta love you. But some of us are coming back home cause it is in the soul. Vocals learning to get unstressed. And even though I don't have a band yet I been playing solo. After all that's what I did as a kid. Thanks so Much. God bless and sending all of Love 💓😘😎
Hey LJB, I’ve commented this before so I won’t comment anymore because it might be the case of you don’t want to do a video on it but if there is any chance that you could do “This ain’t a love song” by scouting for girls that would be amazing! Another song that I’ve always wanted to play is Patience by Take that. I cannot find anything on the internet as it isn’t really a guitar song but I’d love to be able to play along to patience. Thanks in advance, keep up the videos, Im sure I’ll be learning songs from you no matter what they are :)
A week to master? Man, 2 months of strumming practice and changing chords and I'm still so bad :( I don't know a great way to learn how to switch chords without looking. I am getting better at it, but man do I struggle with that. It makes trying to play anything so tough. Between that and missing stings that I don't want to hit, it feels like I'll never get there. I'm not bad at playing some popular solos and riffs though lol. This video is very in depth and helpful though.
Just to remind you guys ,wen blind folding keep your guitar away from any open windows, as to my horror wen i took the blind fold of 30 seconds later my guitar was gone
Hey Lee can you please do the godfather theme I ask every time and I understand if you don't have time but my mum asked me to learn it for her birthday and all the other lessons are quite bad so please can you do the godfather theme
