I feel bad for you guys that didn't have a father around. Dads can be a-holes, but having them in your life makes you a better man. Moms cannot fill that void no matter how much they try.
Just picked up a bottle for $70 which seams like a reasonable price increase in 2022. I'm very happy I choice this option. I've had some other highland single malts but wanted one without the peat. Maybe because it's summer I wanted the lighter flavor. This did not dissapoint.
before I buy a bottle of whisky I always watch a review of Horst Luening. I watched this and bought Dalwhinnie 15 for €40,- in The Netherlands. It is a very pleasant and wonderful whisky! Very tasty 👍
This is a very smooth, very fruity and very easy drinking dram. Great for starters, very well priced for its age indeed. I'm impressed myself indeed. A perfect dram for the summer time as there is NO smoke in it (the "smoke" mentioned on the box is very not true, there is none).
Good review, fortunately this is available in South Africa and a favourite here at the Whisky Couch. I enjoyed the use of the drone to take the areal video - well done!
A 15 yr old malt for £35 ish is grreat value.Hard to make a bottle last 3 weeks.Very easy drinking dram.Have passed the Distillery en route to Elgin and Gordon & McPhails shop.Impossible to dislike this whisky...great bang for yer buck,aa they say!😇
I think there is *some* smoke in it. I don't know.. I've had so many bottles of it, I might have to get some Laphroaig or some other smokey whisky to "learn" what smoke taste like again.. But I just love Dalwhinnie. Affordable, extremely good tasting, and I've never really had any hangover. Not that I've had that with any other proper single malt either.
I tried this at a bar today in a flight and i got the fruit, nuttiness and the smoke. I liked this way more than I thought I would. Perhaps the bottle needs to breathe to get the smoke.
For me, this is the benchmark for a Highland whisky. If you are looking to introduce someone to the pleasures of a dram, this is an excellent starting place.
Just bought this small bottle as my first ever whisky, and iv got to say, i like it quite a bit! Tho, there was some kind of a citrusy flavor going on for me, allmost like baby sick, wich was ok, but not super nice either. Id allso love for it to be a tad more smokey, wich in contrast to you guys, i would definitivly say it got a hint of smoke, but only a hint tho. Any one out there who could reccomend me a whisky thats similar to this, but with more smoke? :)
I recently purchased a bottle of this. I did not find it very appealing. I found it to be a little on the sour side. Also it's final notes came off as next morning taste in your mouth after throwing up all night. I have a feeling my 15 year old bottle of whiskey will spend 15 years sitting on my shelf LOL
This has been my go-to whisky for so long, This is also the whisky i use to introduce Whisky to friends that has gone from Jack and coke and wants to " grow up"
Just bought a bottle of this out of curiosity. $90.00 US. A great disappointment. As with all Diageo it's chill filtered, colored and bottled at 43 %. Don't waste your money on this.. .
Isn't it a coincidene that you both like whiskey so much! Dads are so selfish forcing their sons to be just like them, robbing their son of finding their own interests and personality.
Too much swishing around the mouth, a bit unnecessary but also throws me into a misophonic rage... had to stop the video, sorry. If you're going to swish then don't record the sounds lol (unless other people like it??)
I wish I was this close to my dad. You guys are a pleasure to watch.
I feel the same way
I wish Horst was my dad!
I had a sperm donor/bum
Yep me too.

Beautiful aerial view of the distillery. A wonderful and drinkable dram.
Whoa you guys have gone real upmarket on the cameras - super sharp picture! Nice one! :)

I just bought it yesterday here in the Netherlands for 50Euros, and I am here to watch the review before opening it..
I bought it too today in the Netherlands. 43 euro's I'm very curious how it will taste!
Great video. Currently enjoying a dram of this myself after purchasing a bottle on a trip to Scotland.
Love the drone footage!

Personally I noticed some smokiness. It's one of my favorites
I didnt expect i would like so much the taste of this whisky! Great price for a 15yo! Thank you for the video.
The first time I tried this one I was disappointed, my second time having it, I am very happy with it, cheers.
It has very fine notes of whiskey and scotch and a smooth finish.

It’s 95$ in Quebec, Canada
It did seem smoky to me at first, but I like how you described the "developing aftertaste"... I think that's what I like this whisky for )
I paid $93 Canadian for my bottle!
I paid $83 USD yesterday, but I feel like I got it like $20 cheaper a year or two ago the last time I purchased a bottle.
I paid 80 USD in Brooklyn NYC
I paid $65 in Ohio. I really, really like it! I notice a bit of smoke in the aftertaste. I'm sure every batch is different, though. Good review guys!
I feel the same about the aftertaste.
We just sipped from a glass of Dalwhinnie 15. Nectar of the gods!
looking at google maps, the Dalwhinnie distillery is located at the edge of the Cairngorms National Park

One of the best possible purchases at 60 dollars.

Honestly Nate,Well, you can give it to someone who knows how to drink whiskey!
Love this! Ripe banana, vanilla and honey for me and very very pleasing
My brother enjoys a whiskey sometimes, so i ordered a bottle for him after watching this video. 33 euro (like 40 dollars?)
Undie great price
i like this one over the others.
Wonderful malt
Nice whisky, but it’s $95 in Ontario, Canada. Much too expensive.

Ben tell your dad he should be even more proud of you. You're grabbing the internet by the balls

Its pronounced aVailable, not aWailable
