The Green Label is $110 before taxes in Canada! Hope it’s worth it! I usually go for a lot of peat but have recently heard this is worth trying. My favourite distillery is Lagavulin. Still I think we can be snobbish about blends and I don’t want to to be! Cheers!!
@@christinecamleyquite a high price.. around that price I guess you can buy some good single malts. I. Which province are you ? I’m in Québec and here Green Label is 100$.
It’s absolutely delicious. I tried black first, then double black. Was an immediate fan of smokiness and peat. I know JW is milder in peat, but what a great introduction.
Green Label is my top favourite and then Double Black way more than Blue Label… just me… my 2 top favourites are the Green Label 15yo and Chivas Regal 18yo are my go-to whiskey.
Just bought a bottle and it’s delicious. I’d started with black, then double black. I found I love smoky and peaty. I hear JW is milder in peat, but what a great introduction!
If you could only own 3 whiskies.... Blend - Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Sherried - The Glendronach 15 Revival Peated - Lagavulin 16 Under $300 collection, all 3 available on a regular basis.
I enjoy the black label, can’t stand red, had a chance to try blue but I passed on it (it was $70 for a single pour!!) I’d really like to try this one though, it I can’t find it anywhere
It is a fantastic friendly light summer sipper. You will not be disappointed.

Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 is great, no doubt. I love it. But how about Jameson Black Barrell, dear Dr. Lüning? Any chance to see your review of this bargain?
Does the johnnie walker 15 and bushmills 10 year have have a grain or malt in common as they both have a strange taste to me any help or knowledge would be appreciated
I will be trying this soon, but in my area at least, the green is quite a jump in price - Red Label is ~$20, Black label is ~$30 but Green is about $60
$115 before taxes in Canada. That’s quite high as better scotch is definitely available for that price. If it was $80 before taxes I’d be happier! The bump to 43% is nice! Very! I love the scotch whiskies in this blend!!
Bon appetit, good luck to your work. Something like a foamy glass formed in the glass. Is it because of the light reflection? Again, the whiskey looked very dark when you opened the bottle. Your viewers may have the prejudice that the whiskey is dark and very sooty. .Enjoy your meal.
Not really. This Johnnie Walker is more of a drinking whisky. Unless Johnnie Walker decides to discontinue the bottling, like they did in the early 2010s.
I don't know why....but ALL Johnny Walker whiskeys taste "flat" to me. Even the Blue Label. There is just something missing and I don't know what it is.
Let me elaborate. Straight up it's kind of like a couple of lesser known spots made a decent blend and aged it. But once ice chills it and dilutes it it's much smoothest sweet spot to me is 36-39% just going from the taste buds for the price. And it performs well in a highball with ginger ale. It's easy to see why it was discontinued in 2012 everywhere besides Taiwan. I'm really glad I bought it but. If you rarely buy I reccomend Oban 14 year. But yeah both good Scotch and glad to see this video
Red label should have a do not buy label on it I worked briefly for Diageo in 2023 . Line 3 and working with a problem woman called Caroline . I had to perform a cap change on the fillers on line 3 . That never gets cleaned . Black label a bit better but both red label and black label are cocktail whiskies in my opinion.
Tried one bottle yesterday and didn't like it all. Everything I've tasted was smoke, one of the worst whiskies I've ever drunk. I have another bottle Johnnie Walker 18-YO, hopefully it will be much better.
I bought a bottle about 5 or 6 years ago and was very pleasantly surprised how rich and complex it was. A definite must have for my bar.
This is the only Johnnie Walker I recommend. I’ll admit they have other good blends, but this is the best combination of quality and affordability.
100% agree with you. Best price for the quality.

Finally someone who really understands and appreciates what they are reviewing excellent review!
Love Johnnie Green! One of the most balanced whiskies I've had the pleasure to enjoy.
With the single malts they use in it’s no surprise!
I found a bottle of this today. I had honestly never heard of it before. Glad to know it got a good review from you

Very joyful and informative video.
Thank you very much.
Fantastic. I blend my own variation of JW Green, replacing Linkwood with Clynelish, to add a Highlands component.
That is an interesting idea!
Johnny Green is one of the better blends I've enjoyed especially at that price.
I find it very over hyped. The modern releases I find boring, and at over 100 dollars now in Australia NOT WORTH. Would rather drink Powers Gold Label
@@farcue3325 it's hard to compare an Irish whisky to a peated blended malt scotch whisky
Here in the Philippines its 2k pesos. About 25-30 pounds.
I have a pre 2012 bottle. There’s only about half of the bottle left, but the cork snapped last night. I’m having to move it all to a decanter.
One of my favorites

Oh I want to play!
1) Ardbeg Uigeadail
2) Redbreast
3) Agree on the Glendronach Revival!
Throw in a bourbon and a Canadian Rye and you ar all set!
@@davidkoch6448 Uigeadail is terrible, it was a chore for me to finish that bottle

Pikesville 110 proof Rye $45-60
Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon $45-55

I heard there's a pink label somewhere...Its very special!
I saw the green and decided for the Sherry as it was 40% less. It’s good but I’ll try the green next! Thanks!

If you can get to a Costco that sells liquor you can get if for under $45

Sorry, Herr Luining but JW Green Label was always 43%. It was never 40%.
Excellent , 15yo , Blended Malt
Qual / $ . Choix des Distillerie

i love the green label, great value for money
Best value of any JW product in my opinion.......
MY FAVORITE SCOTCH
What's it cost for others in US/CAN? About $100 in my area. Just can't quite decide if it's worth that.
$110 in Ontario. I was a repeat buyer in the $82-86 range. $110 is more than a little overpriced, IMO.
I regularly see it around $60 in the southern US
Johnnie Green is my favorite Walker. Unfortunately, it’s price has exceeded its value in the southeastern United States.
Is the bottle worth collecting?
Not really. This Johnnie Walker is more of a drinking whisky. Unless Johnnie Walker decides to discontinue the bottling, like they did in the early 2010s.

You should definitely try it! The Green Label is one of the best Johnnie Walker whiskies
@@Whiskycom The only other two JW whiskeys i have tried is the Gold Label Reserve and the 18 YO, really loved them both say no more
I'll call myself lucky even if rough around the edges I've had smoother NAS whyskies my bottle of green is properly smokey, punchy even.
At over $60 U.S. , I'll take a quality 12 year single malt any day.
Green label is made by four single malt at least 15 YO
To me its best once ice melts it to about 39%

It’s good. But I make a point of never buying Johnny Walker.
Why ?
Best of JW.
