  • What is separating the Adriatic figs from all of the others is their ability to taste good even when they're not perfectly ripe.

    Rockaway green has been splitting the most for me. WM1 (grafted not on own RS) and Ponte Tresa do very well.

    When did you film this one?

    • @RossRaddi
      @RossRaddi  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      3-5 weeks ago. I'm not exactly sure on the date. I filmed these Adriatics like 5 times throughout the year and this was the video with the most accurate information, so this is what got published.

    Do you get 2 harvests. Hete in South Australia Adriatic do really well as do Spanish black and Black Genoa, we have Mediterranean climate hete hot dry summers and mild winter

      Prosciutto produces a really nice breba. Can't speak much about the other Adriatics yet.

      @@RossRaddi In a true Mediterranean climate, fig trees bring out their best . Our temp ranges from 52C in summer and 13C in winter. Fig trees don't need lots of water, contrary to popular belief, they survive in hot harsh arid climates.

      Prolific in what way?

      Like more productive in bearing fruits sir

      @@palomavaldez3988 Strawberry Verte seems to set fruit easier than others. That could be more productive.

    Let us know what you end up keeping. I dont want to have all these version here in GA either. I currently rol with green michurinska. Just decided to go for that one until others collect more data.

    White Madeira is overrated fig. I give my away. CDD Gegantina is way better than white Madeira. Way better.

      Interesting. Those two are both on my “want” list, but I guess I know which one to prioritize!

      I agree with Carlos. The Coll de Damas are definitely a higher quality fig than the Adriatics. That's why they're the queen of figs! In this very cold fall weather though, the Adriatics will ripen at a higher quality more consistently.
