I thought that the usage of "me and x" was correct until teacher made a huge red cross on my english paper. It sounded so right until I found out. As a person from Türkiye "TDK" works pretty well. I dont think they effect the way we think by their work itself. However, language is a living thing just like us so it needs care by this evolution progress. I love how Turkish people are sensitive to the proper grammer. As the language continues to get richer every day, it does not lose its old value.

Great to have your feedback!!! To what degree would you say Ottoman Turkish is accessible to speakers of modern Turkish?

    The Oxford Language Society exists.

but it isn't an authorative body; it's a descriptive word-keeper

The fun thing with prescriptivism, at least in English, is that it isn't really about one correct tounge, enforcing any coherent standard or even trying to be purist (rather the opposite), rather it has taken one (supposedly also then) incorrect spoken dialect amongst many others, that of the upper classes both in the US and UK, and made it official as some sort of a holy cow. Besides, the absolute fondness of supposedly more noble tounges and the effort to romanicise English are at least kind of laughable, too.

I'm a prescriptivist, and I cannot imagine the wrath of a native speaker of English, maybe even monolingual, who has to witness the current state of the use of this noble language on the internet, completely mauled by the globalist cause that wants it to become an international, interracial language. How I wish English had stayed in England, and was used exclusively by Englishmen! Greatness has a cost...becoming too humble and neglecting one's own might, and that is what all the European peoples, but especially the English, have now done.

I can understand your view, but it's also important to note that the very fact that English language spread across the globe at this extent, is both the result and the cause of the higher levels of prosperity that England has benefited hugely from.

What are you talking about? Modern English has been interracial and international for centuries, it's composed by a large French and Latin Influence, Greek, some Nordic words and structure over its West Germanic origins

I do hope you're trying to be humorous; otherwise, you're just a big part of what's wrong with this world.

@@arthurvanrodds2772 Oh so you're not only letting your own language be "foreignized" (and by inferior foreigners too), you're also shitting on its history to justify its annihilation. What a true patriot, congratulations! You English were the most powerful people in the world, the best of the best, not even the Germans could surpass you in the end...but those brother wars made you both fall, as with the rest of Europe. You were our leaders, but corrupted by the jews, I'm saying both the English and the Americans, you went against your own ethnic interest for the sole goal of money, you betrayed- your leaders did, your own nations for the sake of a better standard of life. And now you, noble people of the north-west, come here telling me that you're not worthy shit, your language has never been true and independent? How brainwashed must someone be, to be able to hate so much against oneself?
