Seminole Canyon Texas: If Walls Could Talk

  • After leaving Big Bend Texas in early March I headed East, closely following the Rio Grande and the border with Mexico. Just before Del Rio I discovered a charming little State Park called Seminole Canyon. Small in size but rich in both cultural and natural history, it was a great opportunity to catch the spring flowers and observe the ancient pictographs first hand.

    I really enjoy visiting this part of Texas. There is a picnic area just west of Seminole canyon that overlooks the Pecos river that is a really pretty spot. You also have Langtry, to the west, with a pretty garden at the rest area. If you are heading east on 90 I would recommend a stop at Fort Clark Springs in Brackettville. It is neat to walk around an old fort from WWII era, and a bonus is the large spring fed pool you can swim in. This is similar to Balmorhea, but a bit smaller.
    Looking forward to seeing more videos. Safe travels.

    The walls do talk, and I hear what they are saying today, if not what they had to say years ago;

    The storm, the Stones, the flower, nature...thank you.
    You keep that stones recording...use software, mix it up, and use that as your video audio...at least it is original ;) The harmonies of nature.
