The poly embryonic seed is your prized mango as it should reproduce the same flavour as the original mango. I’ve been growing mangoes from seed the last 3 years and out of maybe 1000 seeds that I have examined, one one seed (a Dominican Republic variety) has ever given a poly embryonic plant, so they appear to be rare in store bought mangoes. There is a hardy root stock called Gomera which you could graft the poly embryonic seed to, it is a cold tolerant variety that might be more suited to a Japanese climate.

Hello Siddu. I used a mix of regular potting soil (readily available in the market), soil from my garden and compost. Thanks for the view and comment.
Video sound quality is very poor
Sorry about that. I use my I-phone to make videos. I have set the video to CC so it can be read. Thanks.
when u have multiple shoots, all will be the same except one, cut that one back at soil level, then select one from the other identical ones, & cut the rest off...this will produce fruit same as parent
Thank you for the tip but unfortunately it died as i left it out in the cold one night by mistake.

Why do you put a stone in the pot
The flat stone helps the root system to spread out flat which is ideal for the kind of pot I'm using.

Thank you for your reply. I have one mango tree 5-6 inches tall and two seeds soaking in water.
Hope they live through the winter inside my home. I don't have much direct sunlight.
That’s awesome! All the best! Where are you located? Is the winter there very cold? Here in Japan it gets quite cold where I live so I keep it indoors and take it out sometimes when there is good sunshine.
