    I grow mango trees very easily with the husk and they almost always germinate the key is to put them in the refrigerator for two or three days in a plastic bag wrapped in a moisten towel and then transport it directly into potting soil keep it in a warm environment and it will sprout because you dried the seed out in the husk for 2 days it will not germinate that way if you're going to dry it out then you have to remove the husk that's why the other two germinated because you remove the husk because it was dried out the husk has to remain soft if you want it to germinate in the soil and it will try that experiment and you'll see the difference other than that great video keep them up

    I took the inner hard part of a mango we had from produce several months back. I didn’t know anything about what the seed/husk was like so I just left it in water for a while and threw it outside when mold started growing. The husk has just been sitting there in my garden and I gave up on it, but this video made me realize there might’ve been an actual viable seed inside still. I got the seed out and it was covered in a green powdery mold, but I gave it a wash and let it soak in isopropyl, it actually looks pretty healthy. Who knows, maybe it’ll actually grow now

Green mango chutney can only be made with unripe mangoes, which is why it always tastes sour. Though no big deal, since your a foreigner I can't expect you to know these things. You planted the entire seed in the center causing the root and shoot to grow near the edge of the pot. You should look for the small hump on the mango seed and plant that part in the center. This will cause the roots to grow in the center of the pot. Doing this makes it much easier when transplanting to a bigger pot in that you have a better chance in reducing disturbing the root ball and roots when removing it from the pot.

      Can we grow mango from raw (non ripe) mango seed?

    • @karlreinhart4661
      @karlreinhart4661 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jaykumar1801 Mangos may not sprout if they've experienced chilling damage "the fridge," or if the fruit was picked under ripe. Chances of the Mango you bought from the store will not taste the same if it bears fruits. The seed you planted may not also produce any fruits. It can take up to 3 to7 years for it to produce fruit. Plant as many seeds as you can, around 4 to 10 seeds. Some will just not sprout or grow as well. Better to invest your time in many than in just one plant.

    Sirji, can i plant the Badami variety of mangoes (mostly grown on northern Karnataka) or Kesar mangoes in UP? I love them so wanted to know if it is possible. Or should i stick to dassehri and chausa varieties only? Also please suggest a site for buying grafted mango tree.
    If i plant a grafted tree on ground, will it grow into a big tree or remain dwarf forever?
    I am sorry for asking too many questions but planting mango takes long time and so asking.
