Thanks for sharing the memorial plaque. Because of that, I looked Mr. Galvin up and read his heroic story. He was a crane operator who was perched 90ft above the construction site. Somehow the crane toppled over while it was holding a 4-ton concrete beam. He decided to lower the beam as low as possible to the ground to save a dozen other construction workers who would've been struck had it fallen. He sacrificed himself (he could've jumped and somehow survived, though the article didn't explain how) so that the other workers could live.

aisle9 Agreed. I worked for Frontier in Denver back in the early 2000’s. Back then it was a great airline that I was happy working there and proud to tell people about the airline. I always recommend flying Frontier for years afterward until it became obvious that the quality of their products and service took a huge dive. So unfortunate, they had a great opportunity years ago to have a high quality airline but it appears they’ve failed miserably from what I’ve seen.

Hm, sounds a lot, but let's say you go to Starbucks five times per week, and pay 3$ for a pancake. That's 15$ per week, 60$ per month and 720$ per year. After 4-5 years of pancakes the machine starts to save money (assuming it is still working...). If you eat 2 pancakes or more each morning you're there even faster :D. But well, I guess I'm going to continue making conventional pancakes haha.
EDIT: I think I found this machine - th-cam.com/video/RHsY2W9VX6A/w-d-xo.html The pancakes are made with a prefabricated mixture in a plastic bag where you have to add some water (which btw ruins my calculation :D). Then you attach it to the machine. To be honest it reminds me of a urine bag from hospital ;-), so I'd say I still prefer normally made pancakes :-).

Didn't realise that frontier was a budget airline before I booked us. We have a family emergency and need to be in Utah this weekend. I love flying first class for these reasons. 1. Room. 2. Being able to get off first. 3. Typically get to board first. All the other extras I don't need. Free drinks, food service and so on. I'm active military and so I can board first anyways. My bags are free too with frontier. So to me, these stretch seats are basically first class seating. Love it!

Also my first Stroop waffle was not on Delta but actually on frontier airlines. And yes the stroopwaffle was amazing. Also the plane was an 8320 Ne-Yo and I like how there is only economy with stretch or regular economy with no stretch with over 180 seats because not only the plane 20% more fuel efficient than a regular A320, but seats more passengers than a regular A320. Frontier and spirit or both really good for the environment and so is Ryanair I think all airliners should see passengers in this capacity but offer in-flight entertainment and free food. We need to do more to take care of the climate

  • @landonp629

Frontier is great for short weekend type trips as well... Single personal item, I don't care where the sit me, and all I pay is base fare - no 'add ons' for me. I also purchase my tickets at the airport vs. online for my advance flights, because it saves an additional $19 a ticket that frontier charges to use their website.
Last flight I took was a trip from CVG (Cincinnati) to MCO (Orlando), round trip with my mom. Total cost: $108. That is a steal, given the only other airlines that fly from CVG non-stop to Orlando is Allegiant and Delta, and Allegiant flies in SFB about 50 miles north of Orlando, and Delta is at at least 5-6x the price for the same dates / amenities in economy. Those same tickets I got for $108 on Frontier was priced at $755 on Delta, and that didn't include a carry on or seat assignment.
I cannot really say anything bad about them yet, as I have never experienced anything more than a minor delay of 10-20 minutes, and know perfectly well not to expect first-class luxuries while on board. I'll 'suffer' for 2 hours, lol.

      @KimmieB. 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@pumpkin_it_slawson3588 Hey I’m not 651pooh but I thought I would respond hoping my opinion may help you in someway. My mother and I just flew Frontier, departing from Las Vegas on 6-19-2022 arriving in Nashville, it was a nonstop flight just under 4 hours. Our flight was on time on departure and arrival in Nashville. Our trip was a round trip ticket purchase, in my quest for looking for our flights, after all the additional purchases aside from ticket alone which was our seats, luggage fees I found it was much cheaper than any other airline as well for the most part the only nonstop flight. I did find one or two other airlines with a nonstop option, however the prices were rather ridiculously high. We returned back to Nashville for our departure on 6-26-2022 our flight again was nonstop as well. Our plane was delayed 25 mins they stated they were waiting for the pilot to arrive the previous pilot had been on his max hours. This is what we were told. If this was true, I respect the airline, for one taking care of their employees, two not putting passengers at risk. I also don’t think 25 mins is that big of a delay, we actually only landed back in Las Vegas 5 mins passed our initial arrival time. For the comfort of the plane, seats were compact, three in a row then main isle and another three on other side. I’m 53 yrs of age 5’8, weight is 185 for reference. I felt comfortable, sufficient leg room, overall space was fine for myself as well my 73 yr old mother which in fact does have arthritis, some back and body pains what you would expected for the most part with a woman of her age. She felt just as she would after sitting at home for that length of time so I say that’s definitely an added bonus. They have two restrooms located at each end of the plane, they were clean on both of our flights as well the overall plane was clean. The 👩‍✈️👩‍✈️ including one pilot 👨‍✈️ were all very friendly both flights. My overall opinion based off of this round trip as well a couple other trips within the past 5 yrs have all been great experiences. If I were going on a trip that is more than 6 or 7 hours I would looked to a more spacious plane, I think for these shorter trips under 6 hrs Frontier is just fine. This is my true opinion and experience for myself and mother. I do believe it’s also you’re own attitude and expectations as well, they do have restrictions on sizes of luggage-items aka: strollers, if you stay within those guidelines you will not be questioned-or have any problems. My niece had an issue with stroller size and swears she’ll never fly with them again. Which is a big part of peoples experience’s. I believe many of the negative reviews may be based off of issues such as, also cancellations which I have never experienced myself, I’m sure I would probably get a little sour about that depending on circumstances whether it’s justifiable or not. For price, nonstop option compared to all others, cleanliness, staff I give an A+ and recommend trying for yourself, you’re own experience. Hope this review can help you or other’s have a little better understanding and confidence in booking with Frontier airlines.

So I was on a Frontier A319 a few months back (N920FR) in regular non-stretch economy for a 3-4 hour flight. Tray tables were tiny compared to the ones you showed, about the size of a large phone/small tablet. Oh, that and it was the worst seat I've ever had the displeasure of being in, probably in the 10 worst seats ever fitted to a commercial aircraft. Honestly, if there was any turbulence on that flight, it would have been agony to walk later. This being said, the aircraft I was on is was 15 years old and Cactus the Coyote A321 (N715FR) is just over 2 years old. Probably a more refined cabin.

Fantastic review, Paul … it seems as though the ULCC here in the US are slowly ingraining themselves to our reality now. JetBlue is still my favorite, but I have now had 4 pretty good trips on Spirit as well. I went in expecting very poor service but when It was actually decent, I was pleasantly surprised. I won't hesitate to fly Frontier either now -- esp after your report. And Re: JetBlue, they did open a tab for us for our inflight purchases. My partner and I were flying them to pick up a cruise and were in FULL vacation mode .. so we told the FA that we'd likely be ordering another round (or 2) of cocktails .. so she opened a tab and hit us (with a shockingly high tab) at the end! Keep ur vids coming, Paul … theyre amazing …

No offense and I like your reviews, but I notice you almost always are flying business class, first class, or having upgraded to a "stretch seat" (like Frontier and Spirit). I'd personally find it far more valuable to hear about the experience normal people have flying in the cheap seats. I know it'd be less comfortable for you as a traveler, but you're a reviewer, right? Fact is, most of us NEVER fly in those upgraded seats or higher classes. So although I'm sure you have a nice trip, the value to the average, economy class viewer is greatly diminished unless we all are flying in those more expensive seats. Just saying...

In the 1950s the Frontier Airlines 2-propeller DC-3 flight from Alamosa, Colorado to Denver tended to encounter violent updrafts or headwinds over the Rockies. The sturdy DC3s were tossed about so much that they earned the affectionate sobriquet of "The Vomit Comet".

It will be a sad day when we won’t be able to see a 757 on taxi or takeoff, it’s simply a beautiful airframe. Frontier used to be a great little airline in its first entry. They primarily flew the Rocky Mountains, the Midwest and some LA area flights. In 1978 deregulation made life rough for small full-service carriers. Continental merged with Frontier then they went through three bankruptcy’s but managed to keep flying until they merged with United. The second Frontier again hubbed out of Denver, but they were so small to make much of a splash. At one time they were getting loans with a 17% interest rate to use as working capital. Texas Pacific, a corporation that invested in airlines, acquired Frontier in bankruptcy court by out bidding Southwest. Since that time they have been completely nuts, putting hubs in cities many didn’t know existed such as Trenton, NJ, Dover, Delaware. It was in for a few months then out. 49% of their passengers boarded in Denver until Southwest restarted DEzn flights adding 30-40 with every expansion so Frontier since has been looking for a home. Competing with United’s DEN hub and now Southwest was a killer. They seem to have done well in Atlanta and other Southern cities with the ULCC model. Their competition is led by Spirit the most hated carrier in the US.

I always fly Frontier because I love their base ticket prices, then you can tailor your extras. I recommend the stretch seating, definitely. Anything in the back will make you feel like a canned sardine. If you're overweight, though, don't book in Row 1. The trays pull out from the side of the seat, rather than straight out ahead of you, and they don't fit over big stomachs well. I mention this as a general FYI to everybody.

I flew Frontier from Trenton to Raleigh/Durham return. The base fare was $39, and I paid $15 for stretch seats. The only thing that marred the trip was that I was seated next to someone who should’ve been forced to purchase two seats on the return flight. Everything else was no frills, but done well. Unless I can be assured of extra legroom, I wouldn’t consider Frontier for a cross country trip. It would be too cramped otherwise.

@@watershed44 I'm not really sure why. Usually while travelling domestically or internationally you're allowed to use a camera, camcorder or GoPro as long as it doesn't block or disturb any passengers around you. Frontier airlines staff usually have a problem with this. Maybe it's in their terms and conditions or they're specifically told not to allow any passengers to use them on board.

I would be interested if anyone knows an airline that has removed a passenger for simply recording video (safely) on a flight. I will have to examine the ticket small print to see if they contractedly exclude video shot on board. Retail has a problem with filming inside its stores. One could argue they don't want their sales techniques being copied but any media conversation of their business's has to be a positive thing. If you feel your business is doing it right why wouldn't you want people to film and talk about it online?

Frontier Airline provided me with my most white knuckle experience to date. Flying into Denver in March 2003, our plane made its approach, came in and touched the back wheels down. The landing was quickly aborted and it was full throttle and back up in the air we went. Made another pass and came in again with zero problems. I was new to flying back then and did not enjoy the experience at all. Come to find out, the pilot overshot the runway and resulted in him aborting the landing. That week, Denver had received an ungodly amount of snow so I'm not sure if they contributed to the mishap. After landing and as we made our why to the gate, the steward told a very humorous story over the PA. He advised everyone there was a 90-year-old gentleman on board who was celebrating his birthday and flying for the first time. He said the person had always wanted to fly but could never get the nerve to do so. They, Frontier, were honored the gentleman choose their airline for this important occasion in the man's life. The steward ended by asking everyone to stop by the cockpit and wish the pilot a happy birthday. The whole cabin erupted in laughter.

Have to admit terminal A is extremely dated, like something from the 70’s. Have you flown Norwegian yet? I’ve flown their premium class several times to CPH and the service was great. Best part of it was you could bid on an upgrade to prem. which means you can fly cheaper buying their flex plus ticket + bidding than you would having bought a premium ticket at the start.
