I like the softness of the leaves shapes. It's a wonderful, soft to the eyes painting. Very pleasing. Lovely. Thank you for sharing. It looks like, almost, pastel color, very delicate. Thank you again for sharing.
I've always found your negative painting florals absolutely fascinating as well as beautiful, partly because this is the only technique that I find ( almost) impossible, therefore I'm loathe to try again. You mention others have wondered how you know where to put the dark marks. I'm thinking you must already know where your negative shapes are and so your defining marks are not random. Thank you for sharing your expert skills with us Rick. I tried again, and finally saw an improvement. Another small penny has dropped. As you’ve always said, keep trying.
In the beginning when you laid down some nice bright golds, I was awed but then you sprayed it and removed most of that lovely gold. Turned out very lovely, not what I expected tho. 🤗
I just watched your negative painting and I have trouble with it. My brain doesn’t work well with the concept. Maybe I will sketch it first and try. I love your tutorials and your approach. Than’ you for sharing.
You are really the King of negative painting, with the swift flow n movement n lovely, pastel colours. Looks like batik printing. Good job
