Enjoyed the video. We have a 2021.5 2.2 and just passed 32k miles. Such a quality build! We love our OnTour. The Transit has had 6-7 check engine light occurrences, something about a misfire. Concerning, but it has always resolved itself before getting an appointment at Ford. Finally had a flat, will get the spare tire rack soon.
Hi David. We got about 3-4 check engine light occurrences, like you, they all have resolved before getting an appointment at Ford. It usually happens after we have gone to a gas station we have never been to before. So happy to hear that you love your OnTour 2.2. We also love our OnTour 2.0. We are picking up our 2024 OnTour 2.0 in late October of 2023.

Hello! We purchased an Ontour 2.0 shortly after you did and have always enjoyed your helpful videos. One question about the bedding two years in - do you still use the Thermarest pads? If so, do they move apart in the night? Is there a gap width-wise? (I didn’t think they would be wide enough for the Ontour bed). Any advice is most helpful. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Hello. Yes, we are still using Thermarest pads and we love them very much. Because we always leave the bed down and because we store stuff along the wall on the TV side, the two pads fit perfectly for us. From driving and from gravity, we do have to pull the pads toward the back doors every so often. Hope this helps.

Hi Debbie. When we placed an order for our RV, we did ask if we can have a quieter AC put in, but it was not a possible option. We had to do it after purchase.
Do you have a sense of the number of times you have been able to park your rig where the larger 2.2 would NOT have fit? I am trying to decide between the two. I do like the idea of a rig that is less than 20 feet long, but I would much rather have the larger bathroom and larger fridge of the 2.2. Is there really a practical difference in the parking flexibility of the smaller rig, when the difference in length is only two feet? Thank you.
Hi Warren. It is really hard to say the number of times because we 100% of the time never have to think or worry about parking because we can fit in all regular parking. We went with the OnTour 2.0 because we use it as our primary vehicle. A lot of people do purchase the OnTour 2.2 because of the bigger bathroom and refrigerator and they manage just fine with parking and are very happy with the extra two feet. Keep in mind that the 2024 OnTour 2.2 will have A/C that can run on batteries (which we wish we had) where as the 2024 OnTour 2.0 will not have that feature because of roof space issue.

Hello. This is Thavone. Yes, we can stand in the bathroom to shower. OnTour 2.0's bathroom is smaller than OnTour 2.2....It's tight, but David has no problem showering in it. We mostly travel after we winterized. This is how we shower. We face the toilet. We put a collapsible container on the toilet with the water temperature (we heat the water with a tea kettle) that we like and we use a cup to pour water on us and then we wipe down the bathroom. For us, it is more important that we purchase the shortest RV possible so we can have access to so many beautiful places and longer RVs are not allowed. We have been happy with our decision.

Enjoyed the video. We have a 2021.5 2.2 and just passed 32k miles. Such a quality build! We love our OnTour. The Transit has had 6-7 check engine light occurrences, something about a misfire. Concerning, but it has always resolved itself before getting an appointment at Ford. Finally had a flat, will get the spare tire rack soon.
Hi David. We got about 3-4 check engine light occurrences, like you, they all have resolved before getting an appointment at Ford. It usually happens after we have gone to a gas station we have never been to before. So happy to hear that you love your OnTour 2.2. We also love our OnTour 2.0. We are picking up our 2024 OnTour 2.0 in late October of 2023.

Hello! We purchased an Ontour 2.0 shortly after you did and have always enjoyed your helpful videos. One question about the bedding two years in - do you still use the Thermarest pads? If so, do they move apart in the night? Is there a gap width-wise? (I didn’t think they would be wide enough for the Ontour bed). Any advice is most helpful. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Hello. Yes, we are still using Thermarest pads and we love them very much. Because we always leave the bed down and because we store stuff along the wall on the TV side, the two pads fit perfectly for us. From driving and from gravity, we do have to pull the pads toward the back doors every so often. Hope this helps.

Hi Debbie. When we placed an order for our RV, we did ask if we can have a quieter AC put in, but it was not a possible option. We had to do it after purchase.

Do you have a sense of the number of times you have been able to park your rig where the larger 2.2 would NOT have fit? I am trying to decide between the two. I do like the idea of a rig that is less than 20 feet long, but I would much rather have the larger bathroom and larger fridge of the 2.2. Is there really a practical difference in the parking flexibility of the smaller rig, when the difference in length is only two feet? Thank you.
Hi Warren. It is really hard to say the number of times because we 100% of the time never have to think or worry about parking because we can fit in all regular parking. We went with the OnTour 2.0 because we use it as our primary vehicle. A lot of people do purchase the OnTour 2.2 because of the bigger bathroom and refrigerator and they manage just fine with parking and are very happy with the extra two feet. Keep in mind that the 2024 OnTour 2.2 will have A/C that can run on batteries (which we wish we had) where as the 2024 OnTour 2.0 will not have that feature because of roof space issue.
I am deciding between buying the 2.0 or the 2.2. Can you stand in your bathroom to shower? I know it's tight and the 2.2 has a larger bathroom that you can stand in. Let m know... thanks
Hello. This is Thavone. Yes, we can stand in the bathroom to shower. OnTour 2.0's bathroom is smaller than OnTour 2.2....It's tight, but David has no problem showering in it. We mostly travel after we winterized. This is how we shower. We face the toilet. We put a collapsible container on the toilet with the water temperature (we heat the water with a tea kettle) that we like and we use a cup to pour water on us and then we wipe down the bathroom. For us, it is more important that we purchase the shortest RV possible so we can have access to so many beautiful places and longer RVs are not allowed. We have been happy with our decision.

The Trona Pinnacles are located approximately 20.0 miles east of Ridgecrest. Access to the site is from a BLM dirt road (RM143) that leaves SR 178, about 7.7 miles east of the intersection of SR 178 and the Trona-Red Mountain Road. The 5.0-mile long dirt road from SR 178 to the Pinnacles is usually accessible to 2-wheel drive vehicles, however, the road may be closed during the winter months after a heavy rain.
