- We went to Hershey RV show on September 13, 2023 to look for vendors to help us put in bigger batteries so we can run our quiet Houghton AC off it. Well, we left with a contract to purchase 2024 Pleasure-Way OnTour 2.0 instead. The video will explain why.

You did buy the 2024 Ontour! Congratulations! The game changer for me to put the Ontour 2.2. on our list of potential Class B upgrades to our travel trailer set up is the 600AH lithium battery and 3000-watt inverter. The Truma Adventa may be the icing on the cake, so to speak for us. Cannot wait to watch your adventures in the new rig!
OnTour 2.2 is so nice. We are scheduled to pick up our new RV around the end of October. We hope to try to make it sooner.

Thank you so much. We traded in our 2021.5 OnTour 2.0 to Fretz RV in PA, because we don't want the stress of trying to sell it ourselves.

Switching the A/C units is included in the trade-in. No, It will not impact our Pleasure-Way 5 year warranty.
Thavone I think back to when you really really realy wanted a Class B and talking to David about it. Did you ever think back then you’d already be in your 2nd RV? Happy for both of you.
Not sure why my reply did not take. Bev. I never thought in million years that I would be moving to a second RV because I was so thankful to even have any RV at all. Two years, we realized how much we love traveling with our RV and how much the bigger batteries will set us even more free. I have to say that I have tears streaming down my face already as I am thinking of saying goodbye to my beloved first RV.
@@tdadventures Wipe the tears you will have many more new adventures in this RV, but I understand. As you say the bigger battery will give you more freedom. We have the Transit Coachmen Beyond with 600 amp hour Li3 and it is great! We travel more than camp to stay in one location so our driving charges the battery up as we drive and we haven’t needed to plug in to electrical outlet. Enjoy your NEW RV as I know you will.

@@tdadventures You will wonder why you didn’t do it to begin with, but now you won’t have any doubt about investing in the battery system. There is so much to learn about the Class B before purchasing your first one that it is a challenge to know what is best to do and it is a big financial investment but an investment bringing joy into your life.
Make sure you learn the system and don’t let the battery drop below % (the % of whatever is recommended for your kind of system). Pleasure-Way is quality+. Happy for you two..I see the smiles on your faces.

Hahaha, not this time Kathy. I picked up the flag twice: one with Cindy and one by myself.
So the main reason you upgraded because of the inverter and battery?
Yes...now we can run our AC off the batteries. We will be so free to not have to depend on campgrounds for shore power to plug in or having to run the generator to run the AC. Having AWD is also very nice. It will open up more roads for us to drive on because we will have better traction in all conditions.
What about the ev RVs coming and eliminating fuel costs?
What?? Lol That's not happening.
We are not ready for 100% electric vehicle yet fearing being stranded where we can't charge the batteries. However, We are ready for a hybrid Ford Transit.
I like Pleasure Way quality, but they need to stop putting all the ugly cutouts and huge branding on the van body. It ruins the clean look of the van and makes it impossible to stealth camp since it stands out like a sore thumb. They also need to offer an all electric package that eliminates the propane system and Onan generator, and uses the chassis fuel for heat and hot water. A lot of buyers simply don't want the added weight and safety concerns of propane. This would be easily doable since they now offer a 600 amp lithium battery, 3000 watt inverter, 300 watt solar, and they can add a 2nd alternator for fast charging while driving. I also don't like any of the interior color choices. I prefer a darker look and it's a mistake not offering a darker interior option. Also, the chassis needs the upgraded LED lighting. Halogen headlights on an expensive coach like this is inexcusable. These simple changes would make the Ontour one of the best B vans on the market, but as it is currently I would pass.
