S she said she has 20 stitches across...but to have 20 stitches you need to chain 21 since you start in second chain from hook...Try counting your stitches when you make first row...If you chain 21,there should be 20 when you start next row.
I love your easy to follow tutorial for this Headband. I want to make but don't have enough cotton yarn to make it and thank you for sharing it. Pattern stitch looks nice and neat. Can I use 100% acrylic yarn or will this affect this pattern?
Hi, I hope you are skipping 1st chain, n having 2 stitches (1sc,1dc) into the second chain. Again skip 3rd chain and have 2 stitches (1sc,1dc) into 4th chain and repeat. I hope this will work for you. If you have any other query, please let me know.

The pattern will be same.. but it will affect the looks of the work as the fabric is different..but you can still give it a try..
