I was born and raised in remote Alaska and met my husband in 2020 when he came to work for my parents resort. We got married in the spring of 2023 and love sharing our life with you all.

My personal favorite kinda videos are the ones where you & your fam go to Costco to start getting ready for all the tourists to come there; all the food & supplies you must buy for the season.. I ❤❤ the hauls!! 😃

False spring is the worst! It gives “some” drivers the idea they can drive like July, then when the roads are slick the next morning - it is slicky slick and they go boomy boom in the ditchy ditch!

I'm glad you prayed on your decision and respect your husband. I'm a city girl. I don't like being out in nature because I think too much about what critters are lurking around me. Suffice it to say I don't finding it relaxing. However, I do like to see God's beautiful creation in the state of Alaska. I'll visit from my living room and enjoy watching your longer videos.

Your videos make me smile and get a warm fuzzy feeling because I miss home (Alaska) and all the closeness of a small community! I grew up in a small village & town where you had to fly into also. I wish we had TH-cam when I was growing up (well, maybe) and smart phones and nice cameras to be able to document our lives. We had Polaroids and 35mm that we had to send away our rolls and get them developed somewhere else other than Alaska! It was such a different time then. Your home is beautiful! I also miss going to small town basketball games, that’s what it’s all about in bush AK!

grocery/clothing/household prices...shipping costs. how do you keep your home warm in winter...moss, plastic, black out curtains. you are doing good now. really enjoyed collected wood and why in the winter.

I really do love the extra content. The Tok that you do have been so polished and exacted to perfection that they're amazing. The long form will need some working on here and there. Like the sound issue is still there. I have to put the volume at 90 to hear you talk and then it blows my ears out when it goes to a music video scene. And I'll turn it waaay down and have to go back up to hear you talk again. More editing when there's more video as to be expected.

QUESTION: If you ate gathering wood now for summer or even following year, where do you store that much wood and get it/keep it dry? I find that fascinating.

Not everyone likes to be in front of the camera, I was like that myself.
But he could have given us some tips on, for example, survival skills that he knows compared to many who do not.
Nice that you've started posting more videos and keep up the content that people like to see.
Also hope that you get to film quite a bit in the summer, but if it's really hectic then you can make content when you have some free time.

Please show us more of the garden and greenhouse this spring. Does it get shared with the whole family. Its so beautiful i dont know why you have to buy so much produce when you grow do much . Do you sell it to other communities
Most gets used up by the lodge, but on Saturdays they sell some leftovers to the community

When I was growing up, besides public school nearby, there was a tiny private school K-12. Every student HAD to be involved in every sport in some way, shape, or form. Since your former school is so small, is that the way of things there too? 📚🚌🎓
Basically, yes. Although not as much as it was when I was in school about 10 years ago!
We don't have to, but it's highly encouraged, but you have to stay eligible, to be eligible you have to be at school the day before, and caught up with school work
What else is there to do for work in your town? I’m surprised that the school has 40 kids

A bit tough for the winters, the dark cold winters are hard, but summers great.
