Sampling gold!
Right from the first needle drop you've got something that could be used as a low brass mellotron type sound a la early King Crimson.
I have this album, along with Volumes 2, 3, 5 and 6. If you play them back with distilled water sprayed on the top surface (after cleaning), it reduces significantly the clicks and pops and scratches sound from the platter.
I’ve seen a guy do this where he leaves a coat of the water on the turntable while playing, doesn’t that destroy the needle though? Rust maybe?
@@NAteDoGG427vette Not on all needles. There's probably a few that have some kind of metal, but I'm not sure which ones those are. Most needles are made using parts that don't corrode, especially if it's a diamond tipped type.
My turntable is an Audio Technica AT-LP60 type that was rebranded as an RCA model and sold by Radio Shack in the 1990s and early 2000s. Its needle is a diamond tip with a reed stem. I've used the playback using water trick for decades and it hasn't harmed the needle or magnetic cartridge/pickup at all. You might get some debris buildup on the needle as you play the record, but that's easy to clean off. (Just a good indicator your record isn't clean enough.)
have it. found at goodwill.
So sick
We use these 12 volumes in our radio dramas in the 70's up to the 90's I still have those vinyls filed in my library. thank you for posting.
A9 EMD E series with Nathan Old Cast P5 5:17
Lol, found one of these in a used record store, neat odd cool stuff
So... atmospheric :P
I still have the album
I had this record when I was a kid - that meaning when all these sounds were prevalent.¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I never thought I'd hear it again. Even the record noise brings back memories. Thanks for posting. 👍
That's so cool! I'm glad you enjoyed, and thanks for listening. There are a couple more volumes of these same sound effects records in the library. Hopefully you can stick around and check those out once they're online.
@@TheRecordLibrary I had another volume of it, too. You bet I'll be sticking around. 😎
yeah, a childhood friend of mine had this as a kid as well in the 60's & 70's. I listened to it an unhealthy amount; it never got old. ;)
20:46 I’ve heard that in a song
I could swear this was used in Hereditary.
I have this one, it’s my dads! Later pressing I think, but still the same album!
MV Britannic’s whistle as the first track.
I have all 10 volumes in the series and I can used them in both Vyond and Wrapper Offline.
I understand less than fifty percent of that statement
to do the best job, you'll want to buy a discwasher kit
Dont people ever clean their records beforehand, lots of surface noise.
