    I’ve got this club in #2 18 degree with Hzrdus Red stiff. It has made my 3 wood obsolete. Incredible feel and accuracy. Good work Wilson.

    There are not many driving irons you look at and start drooling. This one is truly gorgeous 😍

    Agree on hybrids, i have a 3 hybrid turned down 1.5 for tight tee shots and have 5 hybrid for ease out of semi etc. the 3 hybrid is also brilliant for stingers into the wind, off the tee or deck. This iron would surely require more swing speed and be less forgiving. As i am 67, don’t have the swing speed and love forgiveness, mind you i still amaze younger players when I drill the 3 hybrid.

      Absolutely correct on the above 👍

    Jay, first off I am not a driving iron kinda guy, fairway woods all day for me (3, 5, and 7). The C300 face seems to not be as efficient the faster you swing. The slower you swung the more efficient the face seemed to be. Almost like the face didn't have time to rebound.

      The efficiency thing is a pattern I've seen in nearly all faces. It's marginal though so doesn't impact much at all 👍🏻

    I use a cobra one length utility 4 iron that I found on clearance as my "secret weapon". Due to its length, it's much easier to hit and control than a standard utility iron. It doesn't go as far but it's way more versatile in my opinion. It has replaced my 6 and 5 irons. It gets me out of virtually any trouble that requires a low punch, I reach for it off the tee for really tight or tricky holes, and it is even useful near the green for long bump and runs.
    I have never tried a full-sized udi, but the 505 looks interesting.

      With your current working so well I wouldn't be in a hurry to change or replace it 👍👍

      @AskGolfNut so.... I'm salivating on my future and realized it's the 3I 20°..... I have the zx4 mk2 4 iron already. I'm going to walk tgfm through the that order Monday morning. Hope it gets sorted

    That is definitely a better/faster players specialty weapon for certain scenarios or when the hybrids/woods are flying too high or just not working. Not at all for the slower or even average swing speed player I would say. I could see my son weilding this one - me not so much 😅
    It is pretty though!

      Hit the nail on the head there Niels with respect to all Driving / Utility Irons..... They are a very focused demographic of golfer that it's design will be useful for.... Some cross over but yes mainly the medium to fast swing player that wants other options to that of the standard long iron etc 👍🏻

    In you opinion Jay, what would you say is the best and most forgiving driving iron for 90mph swing speed? U505 2023? Srixon Zo utility?

      @AskGolfNut  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really tricky section of the market where all are doing a really good job. With the very small amounts of loft difference between them all it means the manufacturers are able to focus the performance and forgiveness to work on a very narrow range. With Irons its much harder to make an entire set makeup work. You won't go wrong with nearly all of them out there 👍

    How much difference are we really talking here compared to the staff model CB long irons? Doesn't the CB also have a bit of hollowness behind the face?

    • @AskGolfNut
      @AskGolfNut  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This will be slightly higher launching and faster off the face than its CB counterpart. Often a good choice when the distance gapping problems arise commonly at the top end of the bag iron wise.
      The CB isn't hollow in any way, it has more face flex than say the Blade sure to the section at the back that has been machined out to give it its cavity design 👍🏻

      To help there is a play speed button that can reduce the speed of the playback 👍🏻
