So glad you put this video out today!! I’ve been curious about the Glendronach 15yr. I just went to the store and picked it up and it is DELICIOUS!!! Love your content, cheers mate 🥃
Very solid list that. Thanks for another great video! Here in BC Canada anything coming out of Springbank, or it's sibling distilleries is rarer than rocking horse doo-da. I'd switch them out for Benromach cask strength. I ❤ that distillery
Thank you so much for this video! I was seriously about to go buy Lag 16 because I've been looking for something to compare to my favorite whisky, Ardbeg Ugi. I've now decided to purchase something that I can find from your top 5 here. Probably Port Charlotte if I can find it because I already love the Classic Laddie.
Solid list with a nice variety. If I were to add a three to make a baker's dozen they would be Craigellachie 13, Benromach 15 and the Raasay core range release. Thanks for the video.
Enjoyed the review and wrote down your recommendations for future reference. The last bottle that I purchased for right at $100 (well, $99 ^;) in Maine just a month ago) was the Miyagikyo Single Malt.
In OR, all liquor stores are licensed by the state and have access to the same product at a regulated price. The Port Charlotte 10 at $72.95. It's easily the best value and also my favorite peated pour. The Bruichladdich Islay Barley is also on my shelf at 82.95, as well as the Bunnahabain 12 at $84.95. I'd love to check out the Toiteach a dha, but it's not available here. Likewise the Kilkerran, Springbank, and Longrow. I would snap them up if I could get them in the $100 price range.
I'm lucky in my area Ardbeg Corryvreckan is still available at $89 USD. This list is VERY hard to top without going into Independent Bottlers. I agree with so many of these picks. Other than what is mentioned here I'd get Edradour Caledonia.
Hard as I try to get a general consensus, prices are so different from place to place, there's always some outliers with these videos. Here's hoping for a sale ...
In Canada most of these scotch expressions are over $100 even before about an18% tax. The Ardbeg UIG is a regular buy for me but it’s about $160 before tax. The Lagavulin 8 is $105 before tax. The Kilchomen mentioned goes above $100. I don’t know the exact cost for all of these such as the Glen Allachie, if available in Canada, easily, but they are all way above the U.S. cost. Sometimes we can order from Alberta cheaper and pay for shipping - $30. The Pirt Charlotte is about $120 before tax! The expressions here apply only to the U.S. I would think. Almost nothing is below $100! Good list but I can’t really get anything at these lower price points. Cheers!
@@Watchman999 Because of the Macallan 12? It deservingly gets a lot of hate because of the pretentiousness surrounding the brand, but in the glass, Macallan 12 Sherry Oak is still a great drink, and I've yet to find an equivalent substitute for it; although Glendronach 12 and Glenmorangie Lasanta 12 are two good alternatives ✌️
@@MrChristopherMolloy yeah. I saw Macallan 18 for $918 CAD in Alberta recently. It’s not just the taste (for me). I would also consider Arran Bodega SherryCask as a strong competitor to Macallan 12 even at 9 years old. Cheers and have I seen your name on Aqvavitae vPubs?
We can say that under $100 the challenge is very easy.because there are a lot of possibilities. The difficult is under $40, even $30 but you must search more :-) Go to work ! :-)))
Very predictable and boring list. Peated whiskies almost all of them. Have you ever heard of unpeated highland or speyside whiskies? Like Craigellachie, Aberlour, Glencadam, Clynelish. Also Loch Lomond and Glen Scotia are interesting choices
Loved this list!

Happy to hear it!
The Glendronach 15, CF or NCF, should be on everyone's shelf.
Very solid list that. Thanks for another great video! Here in BC Canada anything coming out of Springbank, or it's sibling distilleries is rarer than rocking horse doo-da. I'd switch them out for Benromach cask strength. I ❤ that distillery
Thanks! Nice choice.
Springbank Is top 5 for me.
Excellent list and discussion, thank you very much!!
Thanks!
great list !!!!
Thanks!
Great list! Springbank 10 is $99 here in my market when we get it which is not that often but does happen if you work at it
Nice!
Ohh, child. This is my love language. Let me try.
Arbelour Casg Annamh $65
Arbelour A'bunadh Alba $95
Ardbeg Uigeadail $100
Balvenie 14 Caribbean Cask $80
Bunnahabhain 12 Cask Strength $100
Glenfiddich 14 Bourbon Barrel Reserve $60
Highland Park Cask Strength $100
Lagavulin 16 $80
Laphroaig Cairdeas (2024) $100
Macallan 12 Traditional $100
Thanks for the video. Cheers.
Some really good bottles here at solid prices. Cheers!
I would add to the list Laphroaig 10yr cask strength.
What about the Chivas 18? Or the glenfidich 15 I think
Great list! Haven't tried the Glenallachie CS.
Thanks. I'm pretty solid.

Hard to go wrong with that Port Charlotte

Appreciate it!
Raasay is a winner for sure.
Loch Lomond 18 Y/O consistently $90-$100 in my area. Excellent value.
A good call. That one still seems to be available below the $100 in a lot of places.
Great choices... but a bit surprised a Laphroaig didn't make the list, since you're clearly into the aggressive Islay & Campbeltown profiles.
Appreciate it!

How was it?
Great list - though I would add Benromach 15 or Benromach cask strength, an amazing Thompson Bros blend - TB/BSW - and Bunnahabhain 12 cask strength.
A lot of good choices, though I can't buy these cask strength whiskies for this price.
Great list! Where would you rank Springbank 10 on the list? I can pick it up pretty easily around me for $100.
Probably in the top 3; it's just not reliable found under that price in most places anymore.

ABC states can limit selection, but those are some pretty good whiskies. Enjoy!
Benromach 15, Glencadam 10, Port Charlotte 10, Deanston 18, Longrow Peated, Kilchoman Sanaig, Bunnahabhain 12, Glen Scotia Victoriana, Auchentoshan Three Wood, & Westland Peated American Single Malt
That's a nice top ten. If you can get Victoriana and Deanston 18 for $100 you're doing very well ...
I'm lucky in my area Ardbeg Corryvreckan is still available at $89 USD. This list is VERY hard to top without going into Independent Bottlers. I agree with so many of these picks. Other than what is mentioned here I'd get Edradour Caledonia.
Thanks. That's a great price on the Corry.
100 here. Ugi is 80. What are your favorites?
@@tommysimpsonandtheloadeddicefor me a recent favorite is Port Charlotte 10 year.
Hmmm perhaps my pick would be the Bunnahabhain 12 CS
Nice addition. It can be tough to find.
Glendronach 15 is way over $100 in Alberta Canada even with the exchange rate. I know you qualified your price basis but it’s way up there everywhere.

Highland Park CS versions are good under $100 and Glen Scotia Victoriana and their CS Campbeltown Fest yearly releases
Victoriana is well bought for this price.
all 3 of these are $90 or less in the U.S.
In D.C. you can find the Corryvreckan for $79.99 + 10% tax.
Nice. That's well bought.
Found Springbank 10 this year at $100 and $110 this year before tax.
Unfortunately, that's pretty well-bought these days.
Are all these bottles 750ml? If he's then all are great bargains of up to 100$. UK £ price and taxation would push beyond you voucher only for 700ml.
They'll be standard size 700ml.
Just learned that Hazelburn has an unintentional 2 ppm of peat. Guilty by A”slosh”iation. :)
That peat's tough to get rid of ...
They are killing you with prices.
😂😂😂
good luck getting longrow for
Really? I can literally go online now and buy if for £45 ($56US) should I want to here in the U.K.
@@mendipfox1650 should have mentioned I'm in Australia.
@@graham2954 ah, gotcha. That’s about £52 then. With P&P it’s still doable
@Mendip Fox then there is the import duty on top of that.
For reference a 15yo glendronach is about 150AUD.
@@graham2954 yeah, I guess it gets expensive when it goes overseas. GD15 is about £67 (AUD$127) here in the UK

Craigellachie 13
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 14
Bunnahabhain 12
Port Charlotte 10
Ardbeg Uigeadail
Glen Scotia 15
Tomatin Cask Strength
Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength
Bunnahabhain 12 Cask Strength
Glen Scotia Victoriana
Honorable Mention: Glen Garioch 12, Glen Moray 18, and, don't hate me, Macallan 12 Sherry Oak ✌️
Dream Team 👍😁🥂🙋🏻♂️
