Lack of processors leaves hemp industry out to dry

Read more: indianapublicm... Stonecipher planted 47 acres of hemp in 2022. He signed a contract with a hemp processor based in Idaho, who paid him in full for his harvest, but to this day has only made one pickup from the stack. He barely broke even on that crop.
He’s also sitting on his harvest from 2023. Stonecipher hasn’t been paid yet for that lot of bales. Because of this, he’s elected not to grow hemp in 2024.
