"Ramming speed!" Concise, quick, reviews. Whew! You just did in minutes what would have taken me a week, if in I could get my hands on all the hardware. You, Matt have passed the torture test!
I DO NOT leave comments usually in TH-cam but the effort and skill behind making this video enthused me to have a comment and telling my great thanks and regards to him for making such a video. Hope continuing making these kind of videos.
I second the CharJenPro Hub and Adapter, since I been using them. Pretty nuts out of all those "portable" ones that CharJenPro beat them all, makes me rest assure my purchase. Although, the torture test was somewhat off as you didn't use the USB-C power delivery port to power up the devices. Basically any hub requires more juice to run multiple external drives. I experienced the same thing when I connected 2 external hard drives, but once I connected the USB-C power, it's all good. The OWC is a beast! I looked into those but for over 3.5 times the price and for my needs, I passed. Thanks for the great review of all different kind of hubs Matt! We Macbook Pro users are sure happy about it.
Does the second USB-C plug (the one that doesn't let you charge the laptop with a USB-C power cable) in the flush-sitting adapter actually give additional juice for an external 2.5" spinning drive that is connected to that port? I want to be able to connect two 2.5" spinning disks to my 2-port Macbook Pro 13" without Touch Bar, and was worried the flush-sitting adapter(s) wouldn't be able to handle it, and also that the second port is blocked, not letting me break up the power load with one drive using an adapter and one drive direct to computer.
Hi Guys. I just wanted to give you guys an update. Crazy it got this many likes! The hub is still going strong. Something to note: CharJenPro customer service is awesome, even though it was my fault not using one of their MacStick adapters correctly, they were fast. I give them my support for sure. www.charjenpro.com/premiumhub
@@fighterpilot12 I know I'm a year late but better late then never. I assume the first question is for the MacStick. Yes, the second USB C port is for data only. It does not charge the MacBook Pro. I have my external SSD and spinning disk drives runs fine.
Duuuuuude. Thank you!!! I literally learned of USB C while researching hubs with my intern, started looking online for a hub for his new laptop.... Got frustrated at the amount of options and lack of reviews... Then a week later you post this. A Godsend you are and always have been. Thanks from NY 🗽!
wow that keyboard promotion was on point, i love the shortcuts keyboard, now i can utilize my macbook way better without having to memorise all my shortcuts
Wow, now that is how you do a BEST USB-C Comparison guide. Scientific and wide range of products to test... thank you very much for putting this up! I learnt about the pass through power being a big factor and now to stick too many ports in without having a large power supply!
OWC Thunderbolt 3 dock gets 5 stars at Amazon and 1 4.5 due to a skew of a 1 star. Very impressive. Also cheap at about £160. Thanks for all your hard work in testing, Matt.
Respect for doing the research for this. I don't even use Mac and still i watched this video til the end. Well documented, good testing scenarios... good video!
I just have one question though, does any of these interfere with the wifi? That's the problem that I kept encountering with these adapters. I've read it up, it does say that USB 3 in general do work in similar range of 2.4GHz with wifi, and that's why it interfere with the wifi's range and it causes the wifi to shut down immediately as soon as I'm using the adapter. One of the easiest fix that I found is to change my wifi to 5GHz, which works fine but I can't just do that to all wifi I'm using (my office's or other public wifi).
Okaaay. So, We want to choose the best dongle. We have 20 products here. Okay. This one is out, That one is out, Those ones are out. These 17 items are out. Everything out. Everyone out. BINGO, I found the best one. This one is the winner of the competition :))) That was great!!! Thanks mate!
Quick question, have you encountered WiFi issues with any of these? There's a known issue with USB 3 interfering with the 2.5 GHz frequency that causes WiFi to not work. I own the Letscom USB-C hub and it completely breaks my wifi when connected.
Hi! I had exactly the same question. The Letscome one is AWFUL! My connection drops from 50mb to 3mb when plugged. Is ridiculous... I was tempted to buy another one. Have you tried something else?
I'm not techie at all. Wanting to use my external CD/DVD drive, I attached it to an el cheap USB hub attached to my 13" MacBook Pro (2015) while using my wired mouse, external 10-key pad, and printer - only two USB ports on that Mac. It didn't work! It was like the drive was dead. Now I know why. Duh! Although I don't use a fraction of the gear you do, Matt, I find this video valuable. I thank you for it!
Alright here's my review for the multiport dongle from satechi, it is fucking amazing and has every port you will ever need. Here's the one I'm talking about; satechi.net/products/satechi-aluminum-multi-port-adapter-4k
The Satechi Deluxe (Type-C Multi-Port) is the same exact product as the Juiced Systems BizHUB and Promate CoreHUB-C. They just have different packaging and labels painted on them, but come from the same source. I agree the Satechi is awesome, but I personally use the Juiced Systems version because I wanted it in black.
Luddy33 I'm looking for a hub currently. I wanted at least 2 USB 3 ports, an SD card, Ethernet, HDMI, and USB C passthrough charging. So I found that the Juiced systems BizHUB was the best and it's fairly priced considering what it offers. And I especially liked it because a trusted source (LinusTechTips) highly recommended it. What do you think of it? I'd like a consumer's perspective. Does it die on you randomly and does it heat up alot? I've read many reports saying that some ports will randomly stop working, and that it gets too hot to even touch. Any issues like that with yours?
Plug the power supply for your computer into the power delivery port on the end of the CharJen Pro Premium Hub. It is required when running high-powered devices such as spinning drives.
Im looking for one of these. One thing I noticed on many reviews on Amazon was their interference with the WiFi on the MacBook. Some products cutting the WiFi off completely when they are in use, especially from well known brand, Lenovo. Have you had any experience with this in your testing?
did you try plugging the power adapter in the charjenpro hub for your stress test? i think you mentioned this already but there's probably not enough power going to the external drives which might be why they're ejecting
You right the problem is the lack of power from the laptop... even if the FireWire standard should let me connect many HDrive, with more than 5 it crashed. So when I purchased my new MBP late 2017, I was shocked that with only 3 USB 2 and 3 standard the powere charger of 61W from Apple was not able to fulfill my normal needs (I'm a sailing photographer). At the sea house, where I've a HDrive (the huge backup) with PD, I connect the "small" charger to the dongle and the HDrive to the laptop (so I keep the speed up). At home I bought the bigger charger from Apple, +80W, and connected straight to the dongle, so HDrive are still powers even after I ejected.
I'm about to upgrade my computer which will have thunderbolt 3. I would have purchased the wrong accessories but for your TH-cam video review. A big thank you!
Have a MacBook Pro 2017 for school, never used a dongle, just needed a usbc->usb adapter (1$ for 2 of them lol). I know for some people is pretty uncomfortable but let's be honest... We all will be obligated to use usbc accessories from 1 year from now, just start a bit sooner. Also people are over estimating ports, having 2448 ports that you never really use it's ugly and a hole for dust that goes directly to the motherboard and under the keyboard. It's not better living with only USBCs but also it's not that worse. :)
It may not be an issue for the typical college student not involved in music/media (not saying this is you), but for other people the lack of ports IS worse, especially when you consider the beyond premium price tag for these computers. Just a few years ago they were monster machines ready to handle any job. Now we have to make an ADDITIONAL purchase of an adaptor, or 2 or 3, while also paying a few $100 more for the computer itself compared to a few years ago. That's why it's worse. It's downright insulting for Apple to ask nearly $2,000 for a laptop that has had all the useful ports REMOVED. ridiculous. and this is coming from a Macbook fan!
Great video. But to be honest, I’m 68 & just use my iPad for mail, banking, photos, & TH-cam. My question is...I just bought the IPad Air a couple days ago. I didn’t know there were no plug hole for my wired ear plugs I love. What do you recommend just to plug in earphones as well as the charger? Thanx so much! Barbie
An unexpected but nice tech video from you Matt. Covered all the bases well. As for the power issue, yes a fast mechanical drive will need it's own power supply. There is only so much juice a computer can put out per port. That isn't the fault of the adaptor really. Personally I wouldn't want a dual port anything like those as sideways or twisting movements will break the laptop ports. At the very least I'd run it off two extension cables. And now I'm sad about my poor laptop that only has one USB 3.0 port. I'll go cry in a corner now with my marmite.
MKDGO 9 in 1 USB C hub is for all who constantly have too few connections to the PC or notebook. the paint is a perfect match with space grey 2017 Macbook pro. the paint is basically identical. In addition, the adapter is all metal, even the usb-c male port to connect with Macbook is wrapped by aluminium, very high quality feel. All the connections people would normally expect like USB and media card readers is standard on most devices. HDMI and Ethernet are a huge bonus. you don't need extra dongles for your MacBook Pro. The device does get a little hot with multiple items connected and there are physical limitations on how many connections can be simultaneously used. So before using multiple devices at the same time or using for a long time, you need to prepare a radiator for hubs. This one provides many functionality with a lower price, a smaller body.
I m an Apple fan ... but they started complicating things so much... i will buy the 2015 macbook pro with all the stable ports build in. In my job i cannot risk dongle failure even for a moment and usually i change my laptop every 3-4 years and i doubt that everything will be on thubderbolt 3 by then ... anyway i m disappointed by all this crap they are doing now.
What if you want to attach two display-port monitors to your machine? You can't. Three or four USB devices? Not without a hub. Power your computer from the right side because your computer is on the left side of a table or you're left handed? Nope. Want a single connector to plug in at your desk? Try at least three for my setup (power, both thunderbolts for displays). It's annoying to have to buy all the dongles no doubt, but USB C and TB3 are the future. I was a skeptic, but it's been a few years now, and I don't ever miss my old machine.
I also had to make that decision with my 2013 Macbook pro, now I have the new one and it's just getting used to a little with new keys, touch bar and huge touch pad. Looking back to the older Macbook I really started to love the new one because it's allot faster and less buggy than the last one, also started typing a little quicker with these low travel keys.
@Jo-Remi Saada If you're still hesitating, go with the 2017, because what these guys aren't taking into account, is the fact that these winning dongles above leave two ports free for even further expansion, and you're also not married to old and outdated IO ports, because you can remove them whenever you don't need them.
got my charger in the mail thanks you for the review man and by the way for the record freaking love this upgrade. The new keyboard makes me feel like a typing pro because the keys are like butter so smooth and how come i don't hear anyone talking about the fact that this computer now has FOUR not one FOUR charging ports? this is coming from someone who has been holding on to his 09 macro for the longest.
Jack Skellington macs last way longer than 2 years, my uncles 2011 MacBook Pro is still going strong and that’s 6 years old and I have the 2013 MacBook Pro retina, which is approaching 3 years old and it’s still like it came out of the box. Meanwhile my parents low performance cheap (what mean by cheap is €500-€700)windows computers ( which they owned well before I got a computer of any sort, mums is 7 years old) are slow as crap and can barley run word. The price you pay for a Mac you will end up paying on maintenance for a pc, especially cheap low performance ones( which like I said above is 90 of that 95%). Apple can afford to make their computers non upgradable because they know how well their computers run and how long they last. I had one of those cheap midrange windows computers ( cost €600 but got it on sale for €400 )and after a year the hard dive broke.... twice..... I have not had one problem with my Mac since day one. But what I do agree on is that they are being run by marketing people and they are getting very greedy. I dont necessarily agree with the price they are maxed out, but the base models are more agreeable.
Lol you don't upgrade laptops bud...you have to take half the stuff out just to get to anything. Also that story you just gave is completely made up... On a 6000 dollar computer, the specs are far better than any windows pc you've managed to throw together.
Great video! I think the test should be a little more organised as I felt it was kinda messy and confusing with all the information thrown at us verbally.
Oscar Jung wait....how many ? can you convert that to rupees for me, then convert it to dongles, translate it to hungarian standard meter, back to iambic pentameter, and accept this coupon that expired in december 2017? im getting 117,000 RUS¥. LOVE U
Thank you !! 1. You called your last test "copy t6 to t7" What does it mean? Copy from SSD to another SSD? 2. Why do you no longer refer to the interesting data presented by Wordima?
BTW, I've gone with the "A Fistful of Dongles" and "For A Few Dongles More" (#SpaghettiWesterns) approach. Most of the time, I'll be using no dongles at all. When I need to dongle, it'll usually be for a single purpose. And with four ports, I can have multiple single purposes running simultaneously if need be, all with relatively independent power and data pathways. And when Nikon forces me into XQDs, I'll get a dual SD/XQD reader. With any luck, there will be one that connects directly to USB-C by then.
I have a brand 2018 New Mac Pro and 2017 New Dell XPS. I have two New Dell monitors each with HDMI. I need to be able to hook each each lap top(not at same time) so I can use both monitors. Which docking station gets this job done for me utilizing both HDMI cables and the ability to hook up Mac Pro And Dell XPS?
Thank you! What a lot of work. Did you confuse megabits with megabytes? I think your reported transfer rates must be megabytes per second. USB 2.0 is 480 Mb/s = 60 MB/s. That SSD tops out at 4.4 Gb/s = 550 MB/s (read).

The ones that plug in directly (i.e. without a cable) may be faster because they don't have a cable. Really fast protocols are susceptable to issues with cable quality and length - even really expensive data centrer quality kit worth hundreds of thousands of dollars can slow down due to cables being longer or defective. These issues don't always cause the transfer to fail, but sometimes it just causes the protocol to throttle down the speed.
I just got an iMAC and was lost as to how to take advantage of the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports. I think I'll start off with the CharJen Pro Hub/Adapter. Thanks for the test info.
well the "high speed" ssd you choose looks like it had a SATA 3 interface wich caps out around 500 MB/s, you should consider using a NVMe m.2 ssd for maxing out the usb port
I just purchased new 2018 MacBook Pro & looking for the best dongle setup have you done any recent tests since your last one was done in 2017. If so can you send me the link? Great video, concise & to the point.
Thanks for this video! It was SUPER helpful. Amazon is a total minefield when it comes to searching for these things so I appreciate you taking the time to sort through them!
Bought the hyper drive dongle for my wife's MBP... she keeps a plastic case one her laptop... solution to the flush mount conundrum? Take a dremel tool to the case and carefully change the contour to fit the dongle... works like a charm.
Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to test a variety of Dongles! On the fence about my next laptop PC being a MacBook Pro, but after watching this, I know what I need to combat the lack-of-ports issue. Thanks!
Very good work. Here is my experience about power: This is the answered to another comment above/below.... You right the problem is the lack of power from the laptop... even if the FireWire standard should let me connect many HDrive, with more than 5 it crashed (MBP late 2009). So when I purchased my new MBP late 2017, I was shocked that with only 3 HDrive USB 2 and 3 standard the power-charger of 61W from Apple was not able to fulfill my normal needs (I'm a sailing photographer). At the sea house, where I've a HDrive (the huge backup) with PD, I connect the "small" charger to the dongle and the HDrive to the laptop (so I keep the speed up). I've really begun to like the J5Create brand of products. I feel that they are solid built (most have metal casings to help dissipate heat too). But to be honest, I think when it comes to hubs, you really want one that's powered (or at least has the option to plug-in a power adapter to power the hub) as a USB-C/3.0 port can only put out so much power, I believe 20 watts for USB 3.0 and USB-C I believe is limited to about 65 watts. So it helps if you get a "powered" hub. Often times, these hubs can still work without the AC adapter but sometimes at a reduced speed. Where the powered/AC adapter is helpful is if you plug in a lot of devices (or even one or two) that run off the USB port, like a portable USB hard drive. If the drives draw too much power from the hub, it can cause it to act funny in the OS and disconnect and re-connect repeatedly and/or unexpectedly.
Just ordered the Charjen Pro cable based on this review. I bought a new MacBook Pro the other day and was looking for the dongle that included an SD card slot.
Thank you sooo much for showing me that Internal hard drive enclosure. Not sure if this is smart but a Samsung T5 1TB is $140... as opposed to a 1TB Samsung Evo 860 Sata for 87$ + enclosure ~$15. Would there be any reason to choose the T5 over the "DIY" SSD?
Hi Thank you for the posting this video ; ) I have a problem and was wondering if you have a solution for it too 'I would be happy to transfer video and images -I have a good quantity of them regularly - from the iPhone X to a Macbook pro mid 2015 via an alternative fast transfer cable other than the normal standaard iPhoneX charging cable which does the work up to now in a very limited and rather slow pace. So, the idea is to make the transfer into the image capture application on the Mac as it is the case up to now: Please, do you think there is a good alternative cable I could use towards the USB 3 on the MacBook Pro or towards the Thunderbolt 2 f (With the normal standard charging cable from the iPhone X or with the airdrop option is not really time efficient). Glad to hear any solution. Namaste and be safe
Hi Matt, the back of your Laptop has what, in my opinion, looks like a key design below which what appears to be "Blackrapid" is this the same company as " Black Rapid" and do they now do laptops, please? An unexpected but nice tech video from you Matt. Covered all the bases well.
As for the power issue, yes a fast mechanical drive will need it's own power supply. There is only so much juice a computer can put out per port. That isn't the fault of the adaptor really.
Personally I wouldn't want a dual port anything like those as sideways or twisting movements will break the laptop ports. At the very least I'd run it off two extension cables.
And now I'm sad about my poor laptop that only has one USB 3.0 port. I'll go cry in a corner now with my marmite.
two Q: why you didn't test the Apple version and is the speed sustained transferring a larger file?
Wow it just dawned on me that the macbook pro is running all of that at once
Great video, however it would have been interesting to see how the hyperdrive one stacked up under load.
what about interferences with internal WIFI antenna? I've tried a couple of them and both - when inserted - interfere with 2.4 Ghz wifi signal.....
Missing Steve Job’s insight and oversight of all Apple products.
@@HypherNet The pros with thier new Pros are balistic. Too much in too little, hard to see the logic to me!
Great test! That would have taken ages. Handy to see which brands perform best, even for those of us who don't have USB-C on our computers yet.
+Simon Patterson thanks. It took sooo long!
You know what? I'll stick with my 2015 MBP that has all the ports built in.
You aint the only one. I remembered when i ordered mine... I wanted it because it had all the ports built in.
I'm hesitating on buying the new on or the 2015. HELP
I'm getting the new one cause I get 50% off from apple and it comes with beats headphones !
got my charger in the mail thanks you for the review man and by the way for the record freaking love this upgrade. The new keyboard makes me feel like a typing pro because the keys are like butter so smooth and how come i don't hear anyone talking about the fact that this computer now has FOUR not one FOUR charging ports? this is coming from someone who has been holding on to his 09 macro for the longest.
Hi Matt
very informative video
do you know which usb c hub that includes HDMI port, would work best with surface go ?
Thanks
you are fantastic on explainingall. i am a 72 year old knowing very little on IT, but understood what you was saying. God Bless you.
your voice gets rough at the end of every statement. it goes from techie sweet to swashbucclin outback farmer 0 to 100 real quic
The effort behind putting out this content. Thank you.
Dongle Book Pro, lmao :)
Vishal Panchal hahhahahahahhaha
Vishal Panchal 😂😂
Vishal Panchal LMFAO!!
are we laughing at his name or the comment ?
If this wasn't a comment when I went to look for it, I was going to make it. Hilarious @Matt Granger
Thank you for taking all this time and effort to test all the products. You rock!
Surprised u didn't test the Satechi ones. They are similar to the Hyper one.
the Hyperdrive one is different from the link you provided. in the video it is 2 USB C plug, while the link is single USB C plug.
Ugh. Look at what Apple has reduced their poor users to doing. The Tanglebook Pro.
Jack Skellington and 90 of that 95% of Windows computers are cheap low performance laptops, that need upgrading every two years.
Jack Skellington I call bullshit.
Lol you don't upgrade laptops bud...you have to take half the stuff out just to get to anything.
Also that story you just gave is completely made up... On a 6000 dollar computer, the specs are far better than any windows pc you've managed to throw together.
We'll see who's laughing when the USB A standard is deprecated in favor of USB C. Baaahhhh!!!!
Hey Matt , which one can handle 3 extended VGAs ?
Great video! I think the test should be a little more organised as I felt it was kinda messy and confusing with all the information thrown at us verbally.
Check the link in caption where all test results are presented in an easy table :)
Try this one, sturdy and very good quality. t.im/1egv , will let you down.
I think he has a "slower" version for well... nevermind.
I have the usb-c multifunction adapter and I cannot get it to run the sd card. I have it plugged up to galaxy s10 plus to hdmi
But 300 USD for a TB dock!!!! 300!! three hundred usd!!! That is insane!
Oscar Jung wait....how many ? can you convert that to rupees for me, then convert it to dongles, translate it to hungarian standard meter, back to iambic pentameter, and accept this coupon that expired in december 2017? im getting 117,000 RUS¥. LOVE U
Oscar Jung And now it’s $378! OWC branded stuff is always overpriced. This is ridiculous.
Hey there. There's an activity on Facebook that you can get this USB C Hub for free.
I have a problem when I use USB C wifi it's down !! so did you try this converter with this problem ?
Dongapple Pro 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I have Macbook Pro and I like u man. Muhnnad from Saudi Arabia
Dean Baird love this comment lol
I have a brand 2018 New Mac Pro and 2017 New Dell XPS. I have two New Dell monitors each with HDMI.
I need to be able to hook each each lap top(not at same time) so I can use both monitors.
Which docking station gets this job done for me utilizing both HDMI cables and the ability to hook up Mac Pro And Dell XPS?
I am seeing this video beacause of my dongle book pro
Hey there. There's an activity on Facebook that you can get this USB C Hub for free.
Thank you! What a lot of work. Did you confuse megabits with megabytes? I think your reported transfer rates must be megabytes per second. USB 2.0 is 480 Mb/s = 60 MB/s. That SSD tops out at 4.4 Gb/s = 550 MB/s (read).
BUT!....
keep pumping this stuff out!
"I'm so sorry that it is going into the non contention pile".LOL!
A pro review! Thanks. Got tired of the reviewers who impose their financial problems in the review or some uninteresting view.
You’re welcome.

Have you tried the LETSCOM USB C Hub Model:USBC008 ?
The Letscom USB C Hub Model:USBC008 gets hot when I have nothing in it and when I plug in my external hard drive it make my MacBoo pro work hard and the fan kicks on and my computer gets so hot I can not leave it on my lap. I do not know what to do.
Matt Granger where did u find the magnetic break away cable type c ?
It was so great that I can't explain how much
I just got an iMAC and was lost as to how to take advantage of the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports. I think I'll start off with the CharJen Pro Hub/Adapter. Thanks for the test info.
"dongle book pro" :'D
well the "high speed" ssd you choose looks like it had a SATA 3 interface wich caps out around 500 MB/s, you should consider using a NVMe m.2 ssd for maxing out the usb port
2019 and USB c is still the same
There’s also a bigger Chargjen flush hub, would like to see if it performs just like the smaller one
Thanks for recommending our hub! We'd love to send you a few other FREE samples. May we contact you by email?
Can I have one?
Can I have one too?
I just purchased new 2018 MacBook Pro & looking for the best dongle setup have you done any recent tests since your last one was done in 2017. If so can you send me the link? Great video, concise & to the point.
BUT
Thanks for this video! It was SUPER helpful. Amazon is a total minefield when it comes to searching for these things so I appreciate you taking the time to sort through them!
Or I can just buy stuff that uses usb C
Brennan Collins smart Guy!
Lightning to Thunderbolt is €60 where I love, it's also out of stock everywhere.
Bought the hyper drive dongle for my wife's MBP... she keeps a plastic case one her laptop... solution to the flush mount conundrum? Take a dremel tool to the case and carefully change the contour to fit the dongle... works like a charm.
Thank you sir! I felt your pain when they ejected. Thanks for performing the in-depth test.
Thanks for the extensive review Matt! It helped out a lot.
What would you suggest for those of us with the Apple SuperDive CD/DVD reader, How are we supposed to utilize it now?
Was the 4k @ 60Hz???
It would have been amazing if you mentioned which dongles support 60Hz 4k out through hdmi
Was looking for someone to run the test of the new OWC with monitor plugged in. Thank you, Matt, great review!
Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to test a variety of Dongles! On the fence about my next laptop PC being a MacBook Pro, but after watching this, I know what I need to combat the lack-of-ports issue. Thanks!
Nanitasa 8 in one with ethernet ,will use with Samsung s5e tablet.have not ordered yet.what ya think?$40.
now this is what i wanna watch. really good work man!
Office work can be so boring. I’m under pressure. The man will never ever get me down!!!
Thank you for the link 😍beautiful photography!!
so what usb-c hub is best for having: 2x USB-A & 2x USB-C ports? with charge function? i can't seem to find them :(
I lost track of how many times i watched this video. Great vid!
This is great.
Is there an updated verion of this video?
Very good work.
Here is my experience about power:
This is the answered to another comment above/below....
At home I bought the bigger charger from Apple, +80W, and connected straight to the dongle, so HDrive are still powers even after I ejected.
Great review 👍
Is this still the best if the computer is a Matebook 2020 ?
Just ordered the Charjen Pro cable based on this review. I bought a new MacBook Pro the other day and was looking for the dongle that included an SD card slot.
very helpful as i am making this decision now. any reason why you didn't test the Satechi?
Very helpful but I wish you compared the owc to the Caldigit
Hi Matt, the back of your Laptop has what, in my opinion, looks like a key design below which what appears to be "Blackrapid" is this the same company as " Black Rapid" and do they now do laptops, please? I ask because we have found their harnesses to be superbly made and comfortable, we opine. Many thanks, Joe & Janice.
