WEAVING the Streets

Rani Ravudi is a trans woman from Fiji. Facing discrimination and physical abuse she decided to leave home while in her final year of high school and became a sex worker. Over a period of 20 years as a sex worker Rani learnt and educated herself about the rights of sex workers. She was instrumental in forming and NGO to advocate and support the the rights of sex workers. It was also during this process that she discovered her identity as a trans woman. Weaving the Streets is her story.
