Nice video! Back in 1999 I worked as a ramp agent for Integrated Airline Services at KIAH and one of our clients was Martinair. Most of the time they used their 747's, but I was fortunate to had the chance to service one of their MD-11's (with the older livery). Was a charm and great experience to handle the MD-11!

Thank you!! Wow, that's awesome! Was it one of their passenger MD-11s? It's a shame to think the airline is almost gone now.

No, it was the cargo only version. I recall we loaded cargo in both the main deck (floor) level as well as the belly (forward and aft) sections. What surprised me (when the crew members finally got off after having their passports stamped by US Customs) is the Flight Engineer was a stunning, young blonde lady coming down the stairway!

The MD-11 has always been a favorite of ours here at Horizon.. Thank you so much for commenting!
It's not too hard to do that "magic!" Just go to Edit for a video, then Annotations. Just add a Spotlight right where it needs to be and paste the link in the Link area! Or hit up Google! :D

This and the L1011 always will be my all time favourites. 777 is my new "favourite" of the current crop of aircraft. Colossians 3:2 - 2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Every good thing comes to an end so enjoy it to the full while it lasts. Thank God for channels like this that we aviation enthusiasts can keep enjoying the classics.

Thanks for the comment! We do our best to reproduce 100% authentic sound in aviation (something never attempted by anyone before) and preserve the real sound of these amazing aircraft. It's an honor and a blessing to share our efforts with the world!

The rest of the Martinair fleet is still "alive" in the sense that they haven't been scrapped yet (except PH-MCT). They're all inactive (stored).
FedEx might just use PH-MCU as parts for their operating MD-11 fleet...
