On Long Island (New York) thunderstorms are a common summer occurrence as well. This past August, I was working with my dad in the garage, it was 1:00 AM and I saw some flashes of lightning out the windows and then we had a really close lightning strike that scared both of us half to death. Thankfully we didn’t lose power.
@@kobyschechter8163one time many years ago I was watching TV with my grandma when there was a storm. All of the sudden lighting struck through the TV. That scared the crap out of me. From then on I made shure the TV was off. Her TV was fried and she had to get a new one.
If this was last nights storm, it was wild over here in Lakeland. Some streets on the north side started flooding, blinding driving conditions, traffic completely stopping on the highway and others pulling off. However, South Lakeland didn’t even get a sprinkle and that’s where I was hoping to have the same conditions (cause I’m like that 😅) but nope it continued on towards Tampa area 😢
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Yes, so does here in St. Augustine. We definitely have more seasons up here, though it is basically warm most of the year. I was speaking more about the lightning - we do get that here, but probably nowhere as much per year as Central and West-Central Florida does.
That is one frightful ⛈️ thunderstorm. ⛈️ It literally made the surroundings pitch black when the sun was still out! (In the top corners of the vid I could still see blue skies.) I've never seen ⛈️ storms like it ⛈️ except in videos and photos of Midwestern storms, and of course the Houston derecho that caused so much damage.
OMG.. Going to Florida a day after tomorrow.. The weather forecast is heavy thunderstorms... 65mm of rain... I think would be the best to stay in the hotel. 😬
Glad your're still making videos! They make me want to visit the south
I miss sitting out on my carport watching these storms come in. I don’t miss driving in them! Thanks for taking one for the team! 😅

I love thunder storms.

Hello from the St. Augustine area. We sure get thunderstorms up here, but probably on average nowhere as severe as in Orlando or Tampa areas.
The panhandle gets massive cold fronts

Wow you guys are all over Florida. Do you like east or west coast Florida? I'm on the east coast.
Looks like you were on I-275/i4 eastbound. I’m in Brandon and was right under that storm!

I personally Love general thunderstorms, just not when Supercells form and cause tornadoes. 💯👍🏾👍🏾
That storm must’ve been really intense
Nah all bark and no bite. Normal stuff for florida. 6 months a year.
Too bad I’m not around Florida anymore
Me too! Too expensive for me! I would love to live there. Boring Indiana is where it’s cheap for me.
Depends on where you live. Stay away from coast and it's affordable.
@@tararockrevivalbebe6427 Sorry to hear that.
