  • Hi! This is an celtic wooden hand carved shield that i've made using the following materials and tools:
Materials: Balsa wood, MDF board, wood glue, indigo paper, baking paper, wallnut wood stain, linseed wood oil, natural wood wax, lint-free cloths, sanding paper.
Tools: jig saw, pencil, brushes, hand carving tools, Dremel 4200 tool kit (carving mills), Dremel 225 Flexible Shaft Extension, Dremel VersaTip 2000-6, Dexter SK5 mini knifes.
The front of the shield is hand drawn and hand carved depicting two Celtic dragons and other Celtic symbols.
The diameter of the shield is 1000mm, thickness 25mm and approx 5kg.
It is ideal for decorating rooms, sidewalks, cellars or for medieval parades, photo shoots, etc.
Song title: From the Fields of Gallia
Album: Throne of the North (2015)
All music composed and arranged by Antti Martikainen

Looks really cool. I do wood working, though it's usually restoring dried up Tree Roots... I have a couple vids on an album on my TH-cam page. I am mostly a Land Artist and that's what I am gifted the most at.
I always wanted to do wood sculpting and stone sculpting as well. Right now I just use Pyrography on my wood art.
I think you did a great job on this and keep up the GREAT WORK! :) I know how much time these projects take, so I know the patience required. RESPECT. :)

Thank you so much for your apreciation! I looked up to your channel videos too. It's very interesting what you are doing. It seems that men and nature work togheter to make beautiful works of art. It feels good to know that people out here likes my work and that is a big win to me. You win my apreciation and my respect and i wish you all the best and good luck with your projects. Thank you!

@@BosancusBuildDecor You're very welcome! I think your wood art and sculpting is Great! Especially the Wooden Midieval Shields look really cool.
I am into Wood Art as well. I specialize in restoring dried up Tree Roots and then burning designs into them, but nothing near the quality of your work. Not yet anyways. I will eventually get into sculpting wood, but then will come with time.
Not sure if you have seen my Wood Art Projects, it's kind of hidden amongst all the playlists. If you haven't seen them, just go to the Playlist page and look under the Wood Art Playlist. There are only 2 video's, and I have content to post another one but haven't had the time yet. I am also in the process of working on my largest Tree Root piece which is 8 feet in length... that one will take a long time to finish.
Keep doing what you're doing, the work you do is AWESOME! And you just gained another SUBSCRIBER!
