God of War is still great for its structure. In a way its combat is made, nothing comes close to it. DMC is still a top camera Hack 'N' Slash, while God of War was changed drastically. For a Third-Person slasher (over the shoulder view) - it's the best.

He is bitter and you can feel the hatred in his eyes during this scene. He even just lets his sword summoning jerk him around a bit because he doesn't care to even hold himself steady.

Can we get some appreciation for Nero’s voice actor? I haven’t seen anyone acknowledge how difficult some of his lines can be hard to pull off, especially from 8:14 to 8:20
What I liked at the end was it showed Vergil at least has some care and respect for his son. He let Nero keep his treasured book of poems, which is the only thing he has of his mother, so he would NEVER give that to anyone. If that's not proof Vergil has some form of love left, Idk what is
Don't forget about how the blanket Nero was wrapped in as a baby when he arrived at the orphanage was the scarf Virgil used to wear, which was the very same blanket he kept from childhood.

This was waaaaaaay better than that crappy DMC reboot they tried to pull. I’ll give Capcom props where props are due. They listened to us and gave us what we want. This game is so good.
All of their ost was foreshadowing the plot. Dante ost famous line said "You cannot kill me I'm Omega! " it means after he get beat up and coma for a month, he still alive due Qlipooth roots give him power. V ost line were said "Split myself in Two" it means Vergil split himself and accidentally created V and Urizen.
They say, time apart is good for the soul. I'm glad Vergil reconnecting with his compassionate human side V, has lightened him up a bit. I can't be the only one who feels giddy whenever he smiles, because they're not smiles of complete arrogance like he had in the past but more genuine. Not to mention the way he says "that's right" at 20:49 :3 also that little exchange of theirs from 23:11 to 23:17? Somehow reminds me of the Winchester brothers from Supernatural!
Speculation and theories are not facts, this is the first time it's canon being stated in game. So no ( the novel, the anime and DMC are not the source material)
Another theory back in the days of dmc4 was that Nero is actually a resurrected Vergil, or a reset soul born from Nero-Angelo. In one of the concept art, Nero's longer hair hides a forehead scar that matches the facial scar of DT form. The Yamato summoning moment is a resonance reaction for the weapon to recognize it's former wielder, it even allows Nero to recall his past life where he frustrates he lacks MOAR power (to save his mother) as Vergil's life obsession. It's a fun theory, but clearly, Capcom went with the popular consensus of the fans.
Dante: so we gonna work together again huh Vergil: again i think this is the first time we did this Dante: wait you mean you don't remember the golden chain, shinra, that busty wolf babe Vergil: what the hell are you on about !?

Well, here's a fun a fact for you. The guy who designed the Devil Triggers for DMC3, Kazuma Kaneko, did designs for Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and the Digital Devil Saga series. I don't think he's involved with 4 or 5, but his designs obviously inspired the current designers.
Don't forget Nero's english voice actor is also Narukami Yu's
@@duncanfery9377 bruh WHAT? That's kinda crazy actually.
@@Kifuremu from P4 yes

0:57 when i finally beat Vergil on Hell and Hell difficulty I just know that smile will haunt me forever
Have you beaten it on Dante Must Die?
@@Prince_Xingqiu I have, It took a lot of practice to learn how to do repeated Judgement Cuts before playing through on DMD but afterwards I held the Speedrunning World Record for HOH for almost a month.
I know nero is objectively weaker but the fact he beat even a weakened vergil is insanity. That is a hella impressive feat especially since hes fighting against a vergil AFTER consuming the qliphoth fruit AND getting his sin devil trigger
Not to mention when Vergil couldn’t even stand after their fight and want panting heavily, Nero looked like he didn’t even take a scratch
Also one thing that makes this even more impressive is that Nero is only 24 Dante and Virgil are 46, not only did Nero stopped 2 sin Devil Triggered powered sons of sparda (in a weakened state) in just his Devil Trigger, but he also beats Virgil thats even more impressive
This was waaaaaaay better than that crappy DMC reboot they tried to pull. I’ll give Capcom props where props are due. They listened to us and gave us what we want. This game is so good.
Yes!!!!!
Yes he weirdo cringst cheesy.
Saala kamina
I liked DmC and All the Other Devil May Crys A True Devil May Cry Fan Would Love All The Devil may Crys Especially The Reboot
@@arcaneblitzer1143 I think the oldies devil may cry fans way too blndd of a shp for.
LISTEN AT 11:14 !!! its just so heartwarming to hear how vergil says nero...
8:18 If you listen to the lyrics of Devil Trigger the song was foreshadowing this moment.
@@sulthanarya3281 "Savior, Bloodstained, Hellfire, Shadow" Referencing all the bosses in the previous games too, which was a nice touch.
I like how they smile at each other when Dante mentions their childhood memories.
Omg yes
Anybody else notice Vergil trying to cut off Dante's head lol 24:05
He wasn't they just did that for the style
lul
Lol 😂
he just cut another demon
He *really* didn't want Dante to say "Jackpot" that much, huh?
Are people really that surprised that Vergil is Nero's dad? This has been known since DMC4 came out plus the novelization of 4 hinted at it
Yeah... I'm like "WTF is up with this comments being shocked that Vergil is Nero's Dad."
Speculation and theories are not facts, this is the first time it's canon being stated in game. So no ( the novel, the anime and DMC are not the source material)
The artbook flat out said it.
given the fact that Yamato repaired itself then flew right to Nero without hesitation is all the proof u need
Damn dude you ended the Nero and Vergil fight in probably the most badass way possible
nah if you buster him when he is flying you can suplex him and Nero will say YOU WILL ACCEPT MY EXISTENCE , that's how I ended the fight with Vergil
joshdangit made a better one it seems!
Any other badass endings?
I guess Vergil can be just like Dante when no other people around him! He usually talks seriously! LOL!
Well he's been through a lot. And there's a lot of V is in him too.
Dante: so we gonna work together again huh
Vergil: again i think this is the first time we did this
Dante: wait you mean you don't remember the golden chain, shinra, that busty wolf babe
Vergil: what the hell are you on about !?
Take my like you monster! I thought I was the only one who liked that game!
Dang,Vergil..You lost too much of yo Brain Cells.
I don't get the reference?
Can I get the information?
@@quiroz441 Search Project X Zone 2.
Busty fox babe?
Legend says that both of them are still fighting up to this day
Sounds like what happened with Chuck Norris and Segata Sanshiro. Doubt that Dante and Vergil are going to collapse a reality.
A legend that holds true to its word.
The thing is, i always felt sad for Credo but now we get to learn exactly how important Credo was to Nero. He's the closest thing to a father figure he had besides Dante and Vergil. I feel really bad for Credo because he wasn't evil just corrupted
