Bit more info on prices, drive ability. Running costs. Comfort. Special features of each machine. Cutting deck size. Maybe a top 3. Like showing how they all tip grass out and pedals for forward and reverse on each one when they are all basically the same it a bit of a waste.
@Kamper Ken Agree, I could have got most of this info from a piece of paper. It would have been good to see some expert views on reliability, value for money, ease of use etc.
100% agree Gerry, I was expecting to see Alistair to five a verdict on his favouirite, or even a quick opinion on each one.... I'm looking to buy one now and am thinking John Deere x1 series, he showed the x3 series here but gave no info, raging.....
I HAVE NEVER SEEN A GRASS CATCHER ON A RIDING MOWER LIKE THIS. I LIKE IT. IN THE USA THE GASS CATCHERS ARE NOT LIKE THAT IN THE VIDEO. I LIKE THE WAY THESE GRASS CATCHERS ARE. LOOK EASIER TO EMPTY
I have the kubota gr1600, & it's a brilliant powerful machine. Will cut any height of grass wet or dry. The pto shaft driven deck gives a great cut compared to the petrol belt driven deck. Its an animal of an Machine, but alot would find it pricey at nearly 8 grand. I've no regrets in buying the machine though! If you have a large garden & want To cut wet Or dry it's the only one to do So.
my mower has GSX-R750 2012 engine , 100hp+ to blades and wheels ..........needs a wheelie bar cause i can pop a wheelie with 46in Heavy ga. cutting deck ........front wheels 10in off ground .......yes i mow my 7 acres pretty fast ......just need to do a walk around first .....cause at 25mph a nice hill bump will get you good air ........
I'll help you choose: the Etesia Bahia hydro is the perfect mower. It is hyper simple to ride with two fullgrown pedals and it mows to the inch. Throws out backwards (also wet grass) and at choice mulches sidewards. Automatic choke start safety stop on the seat. Very economic low turning engine and makes very little noise. My brother in law has a new John Deere and he is not satisfied of it. These mowers look like toys compared to an Etesia Bahia. Excellent mowing capacity and no technical problems whatsoever. Very very movable and fast machine to cut all edges. Choice is made...one hand one foot steered sucker.
Hi we have a viking T6, had it for over 5 years and it's never let us down paint work is still like new they are well made lawnmowers and I would recommend one to anyone 👍
I’ve had the Honda for three seasons and it’s probably 7/10 good. Cut quality is good, mulching is great, comfort and reliability are great also. But it’s slow slow slow and it doesn’t like wet (or even damp) grass that is longer than 2-3 inches. Especially going from mulch to collect. The chute from the deck to the bag is just too small so it blocks and then it becomes a mulcher whether you want it or not. It’s designed like that to maximise airflow but it’s still too small. I fitted the optional cowling that allows you to cut and chuck and just cut regularly so the grass never gets too long and that sort of overcomes the problem. My old Etesia was much much better but that would have been twice the price new. I also have a Honda HRX walk behind and whilst that is a top-of-the-class machine, I’d say the Honda lawn tractor is OK but not great. I’ve borrowed various other brands and I cant say any of them are great and none as good as the Etesia.
This is a very sturdy and well built mower. I thought I wouldn't like the foot operated speed control but after one use th-cam.com/users/postUgkxTZSPVwJFBv2hORqhQamtxi-tAe5K2EtC , I can't believe I ever had one without it. It drives like a car with an automatic transmission. Easy to adjust mowing speed according to grass depth/thickness. I have yet to get used to the long throw of the blade engagement lever but kind of get why it is that way. It allows you to hold mowing for short moments if you need. The engine seems very substantial and the frame has very little flex, both adding up to an impressive package. All my previous tractors were 18 to21 hp with 42in decks. This one is 23/46. I mow about 1.5 acres about every 5 days here in Alaska and that mowing time has been reduced by about 20%, partly due to the very tight turning radius. No loop arounds lol. Hour meter, cruise control, reverse mowing capability, deck cleanout and easy assembly all add up to a very well thought out tractor.
The bagging systems are completely different on the US models. The way they are made they would be a rear discharge, I had a Wheel Horse a long time ago with a rear discharge, it may have just been that model but it was lousy, clogged up real easily especially if the grass was just a little high. I haven't had any problems like the since then with the 2 side discharge John Deere's I've had. One nice thing about the European baggers they sure are a lot more convenient to empty.
I have a Husqvarna ride on mower cutting belt isn't the best had to change it a few times but at the end of the day it is a very old machine and brilliant price and can cut grass no problem and high tipper so definitely suggest you should go buy one
I had a 2017 Husqvarna TC342... Hated it from day one. Worst design and build quality. I can honestly say that I always has some sort of issue with it. Local dealer wasn't much better. No other repair stores would help me with it either as they topight they were terribe machines. I had to sell it at a massive loss. 2017
I have a 48" deck Husqvarna 17hp Kawasaki engine is awesome, and the seats, steering wheel are comfortable. They also turn on a dime! The Vtwin engine has a beefy sound as well! I wish I could have heard the engines on them all lol. Husqvarna also has a digital HOUR GAUGE - I believe it's the top of the line for Ride on mowers that are this style. --- the brake though - sometimes you gotta get under and adjust the linkage - to get full brake/clutch off when you release the pedal. Otherwise you have to put your foot under the pedal and lift up - the only con to that ride on I could think of! Love the triple blades. Anyways - my 2 cents added!!!!!! Oh yeah - and new ones - I think they all have a 10 year warranty! DO NOT LOSE YOUR RECEIPT AND WARRANTY PACKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish that these rear collection model riding mowers were being sold over in America where I live. Honda stopped selling their riding mowers over here in the states by the late 90's.
the only complaint against the John Deer, the tyres are not much better than party ballons in terms of puncture resistance. it's so easy to get a flat with a thorn.
Wildly different than American mowers, our baggers actually bag the grass so you can dispose of it. You guys just dump it somewhere, wouldn’t work here. Looks like all the mowers were center rear discharge. Amazing how differences evolved.
Very Nice units but very exspensive looked up cost $3000 to $4000 range thats too bad i would love to get one of of these you did a great review take care
I am from America, our lawn tractors don’t have the nifty quick dump feature for the clippings. Great idea, we have side discharge and bagging options?
More pointless garble from the Irish Farmers Journal! I always thought a review actually ventured some sort of opinion.. but this lot obviously just wanted to borrow a few mowers and get their grass cut for nothing...
sweetbeef do you recommend starting mower weekly or just leaving it if you dont use it during a drought for months at a time thanks hot sweet dog 9 mil nitrile powder-free gloves
Great video, ... if all you want to know is available on the manufacturer website ,,, if you wanted to know how the mowers work and hold up however you've come to the wrong place
Don't think I'd like any mower with a bagging system that leaves clippings in the chute. That's going to smell up the garage (or wherever you park it inside) until the next time you take it out.
Loving the cub cadet xt model we got spent alittle extra to get the v twin motor things been flawless other then junk factory blades lol will mow grass taller then it even wet and not clog up like many other do

Had the potential to be a great video but cutting the grass on an already cut lawn tells us nothing!!! How about a real test by letting the grass grow a bit so it's a more realistic demo.
So they're mowers with engines, seats and wheels. I can see that. How about ranking or reviewing them to help us choose one?
Exactly my thoughts.
No test at all. Just an introduction.
Well if you can't make up your own mind maybe you shouldn't be buying one...
Wow. Reminds of a time I was decorating on a rainy day, and decided to watch the paint dry!
Wow! love the positive comment NOT...
Had a cheap MTD mower for 15 yrs, never had anything done to it, still runs and cuts grass fine.
Your lucky my troy queer or troy die has costed me enough to know mtd fucks there customers over.
That one sentence is probably more useful than the whole video.
MTD THE BEST

I need one with shocks so I can drink my beer as I cut grass lol
Love the Kubota 1600 and John Deere but as with many lawn and garden tractors, unavailable in Thailand!
We've just purchased a Stiga Estate 6102HW 48inch deck. Its amazing, except the price tag of €4,500.

10 year warranty?? I don’t think so. There is no mower on the market that has a 10 year warranty! Not even close to that!

Honda stopped selling their riding mowers over here in the states by the late 90's.
Agreed! Just bought a JD X350 last year, would love to have that bagging system. Why don’t they offer it here?
I have that rear dump system on a 20 year old Toro/Wheel Horse. Don’t know why they
are not offered here anymore. It works great.
the only complaint against the John Deer, the tyres are not much better than party ballons in terms of puncture resistance. it's so easy to get a flat with a thorn.

Well that's 12 minutes of my life I will never get back.

are your mowers left hand or right hand steering?
JOHN DEERE D105 cratered with less than 23 hours service. Transmission is shot. Mower does not go forward or back. Warranty expired,
speedstick77 😷😳
speedstick77 😷😳
speedstick77 go to John Deere and complain and don't get mowers at LOWES OR HOME DEPOT THEY ARE BUILT CHEAPLY
Yeah don't buy the low end Deere mowers, they're literally only made to compete with the chinese brands, not to last.
Shouldn’t have bought a cheap mower
I'm looking at buying a ride on to cut my 1 acre lawn in northern Sweden because I'm fed up of doing it with a walk behind
Any advice on how to remove the catcher off the husqvarna?
Wheres the test part?
You only had to answer one question which is the best and why ! And you couldn’t do that right 🥱🤬
I was hoping you'd tell us which one is best?
MTD
What is the thing on the back dumping grass?
Don't think I'd like any mower with a bagging system that leaves clippings in the chute. That's going to smell up the garage (or wherever you park it inside) until the next time you take it out.
another video with music why ? also you have a fasination with the dumping of the grass amazing and the transmission controls remarkable
+Irish Farmers Journal what mower in your eyes did you think was the most appealing, e.g. cutting performance, fuel economy
Padraig Lynch castle garden
I swear everything on all the mowers in England are so different
Thegrandman I thought y’all use sheep lol
Thegrandman I haven’t seen any that looks like these lol
Ya like top 3 and the best one for your money but the husquavarna usely is cheaper then john deere and definitely a honda
Where was the test?
What does this all mean ? Which mower is the best ?
What about cub cadet? Do they not have them in the U.K. Or wherever you are?
Chase they do have them in uk
mate its in their name Irish Farmers Journel
That wasn’t a test at all just what’s out there
That exact john deere lawnmower is mine now
I stick to my 2006 weed eater tractor lol
I will stay with my converted 42" propane yard machines mower. No more gasohol to worry about and a new 4. 3 gallon fuel tank.
Loving the cub cadet xt model we got spent alittle extra to get the v twin motor things been flawless other then junk factory blades lol will mow grass taller then it even wet and not clog up like many other do
A lot of waffle and no rating as to fuel usage, cutting efficiency, value or any other comparison. More info
on the dealers adds.

Rear discharge.....
That Kubota is awesome.
I have a kubota t1560 thats 22 years old i have zero turn mowers an the little kubota cuts better then all my other mowers
I do occosinal lawn mower reviews, sled videos a little bit of braap
I need someone help, so the proble is this:
I work with an Honda simillar to that on the video but older, and now I need to pass 2 times on the same place to leave all the grass at the same height. And the blades are recently honed
Possible causes. Wrong blades, not properly assembled (reverse) or incorrectly honed (profile/shape...).
Cheers
There's a adjustment above the deck mountings on mine
For me, the pronunciation, "Ka-bu-ta" has always been a hilarious joke. It's supposed to be Ku-bo-ta, right?
Kubota here is a different League nearly double the price of Husqvarna TC 239T

It''s not KABUTA... it's KUBOTA... jeeezzz. :-) Is it so difficult to read what's the brand name?

A mower test without any comments as to the best machines. This video doesn't show the Irish in a good light. Complete waste of my time.
why can't Honda bring it to the US??? Multiple Honda owner still anxious... Honda push mower is great and beats ANY mower I've ever owned but.....WTH
