It is a very different take on Catan and yet really stays true to the base game. It is probably my favourite Catan scenario.
It adds only a few elements, it’s really easy to learn. It manages to remain very close to the feel of the base game while reducing the element of luck and increasing the interaction between players. It’s brilliant.
Tabletop games are really fun, but learning the complicated directions and rules can be a challenge. Lavinia and Peter explain the rules quickly and easily while giving you all the tips you need to win faster.

Can you build a network of roads around a trade hex? Literally fill every path in the trade hex and surrounding paths. Last game I played that’s what I did and I was basically accused of ruining the game. It probably didn’t help that I called myself the “sandman” obnoxiously claiming “if you want sand, you gotta pay me!”

Thank you for this video! You have solved a difficult problem for me. Let me explain.
I use the French version of Catan (excuse my broken English), and according to the manual, I'm supposed to use 26 Traders&Barbarians development cards instead of 25. I panicked. But thanks to your video, I was able to count, it's 25 cards and not 26 that I have to find in my game.

Wondering if you've done a video for the Barbarians Attack scenario. Watched your other video for T&B and at the end you mention the last 2 scenarios are more complex and that you'll make additional videos for them. Obviously I've found this one but couldn't find another by looking in the channels list. Did I miss it or did it not get made?

How many cards do we take from our first city placed instead of settlement
Just 1 card for the city at setup. Once playing then as usual.
My GF have this to me, in the box it says it's the expansion, however it only came with 3 water tiles, so I can't really play. Any idea? I'm thinking it was a factory mistake, but I want to ask first? The box clearly says it's the expansion and in the back it shows the 6 water tiles, but mine only had 3.
Are you sure it's Traders and Barbarians? You have the sea frame and from the tiles, there is a lake but the rest I believe are terrain tiles.
@@GamesMadeEasy yeah I mean 3 sea frames only. It's supposed to have 6 right? And 100% sure it's traders and barbarians
Then yes, they are missing. It happens, when I bought treasures and dragons I was missing some components. I got in touch with them.
