    Well after watching this my thought process definitely is there its more down to practice for me then. I found my original tack i made slightly smaller to "weld" over with my finished bead as such just to try make it look continuous. Once again really appreciate the effort put in to the video

    I build hydraulic power units for a living. I’m always welding in fittings to tanks. I like to do 3 tacs , connect them. It’s still tuff for me to make them look really nice but the most important thing is that they are leak proof. Takes a while to get good at these that’s for sure.
    Cool video buddy

    A trick I discovered today to remove mill scale. Soak it in regular household vinegar. Comes right off after a few hours soaking. Beats grinding off hands down!

    If you can sit the part on a block of aluminum, the plate won't warp as much

      Just tuning it in for different situations. I like to do cut and etch test to make sure there is good penetration!

      There is no specific setting that you have to use..just play with the settings and adjust accordingly to your puddle

    Would beveling the edge make a difference? Pros or cons.

    • @ACDesignsGarage
      @ACDesignsGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it helps on penetration. I should of shown it in the video. My rule of thumb is if its 1/8" or thicker I like to bevel . Thanks for watching!!!!

    You seem to start with a ton of stick out, do you always do it like this?

    • @ACDesignsGarage
      @ACDesignsGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Na the camera angle makes it look like a inch of stick out lol, and I was also trying to keep it up high enough so people could see the puddle while I welded. filming welding is the hardest thing ive tried lol
