Depends how many seeds come in your packet. I would count your seeds. Plant them 9 inches apart, 2 seeds together in each spot, then thin out when they come up, keeping the strongest seedling

I have only direct sowed mine - would love to hear how they do being started indoors!

Zinnias yes. Sunflowers no.
